Our stay here was comfortable and pleasant. The host was so kind and generous. Harshani even went out of her way to prepare breakfast and lunch for us which was delicious and homely. We felt right at home at the stay. The stay is 4mins walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The host was very responsive and the stay looks just like in the pictures -clean. Highly recommend this stay!

I had a fantastic stay at Coloration Villa! Sumudu is a wonderful host—welcoming, helpful, and always available. The villa is modern, clean, and surrounded by nature, offering the perfect balance of privacy and relaxation. I loved the spacious rooms, open-plan kitchen, and the peaceful garden. The location is ideal—close to Hikkaduwa’s beaches and nightlife, yet tucked away in a quiet village. Whether you’re here to surf, explore, or just unwind, this place is perfect. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

My partner and I stayed here for 2 weeks as we wanted a relaxing holiday to South Sri Lanka. We were very pleased with our stay. The apartment is in a fabulous location making it very easy to walk to breakfast/dinner and beach front bars in the evening. La belle on the doorstep of the place is great for sunset. Gianluca is a super friendly host, was very helpful, always responding quickly, he also arranged a bike for us for our stay which was very helpful. The apartment was cleaned regularly & we were provided with fresh shower & beach towels. Highly recommend staying here.

We had a great time at Joanne’s place. The house is centrally located with all good restaurants, supermarket, currency exchange stores and local market being just a stone’s throw away from the house. Joanne is extremely responsive and is very friendly. The folks down at the ice cream parlor are warm too. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend this place to anybody who is looking to explore Ahangama!

The Movi Apartment was a truly friendly environment clean, peaceful & just a short walking distance(5 minute ) to the beautiful Bentota Beach. I really liked this place, especially because the owner was incredibly helpful & cooperative. They guided me a lot, especially with how to get around Bentota & how to find my next transport easily. Originally, I had booked for just one day, but I extended my stay to two days because of how responsible and caring they were. I really hope to visit this apartment again, and I definitely suggest others to go there without any hesitation. Sister Niladri & her husband are truly good & soulful people. On my last day, both of them even dropped me at the station, which was so kind of them. I'm very thankful for their overall cooperation & warm, friendly behavior.

After 2 weeks travelling around Sri Lanka, this was the best place we stayed. The view, the room, the vibe, the food! So stunning and beautiful! Couldn’t recommend enough, a tough walk up the hill but SO worth it.

We (family of four with young kids) came across this house and loved it, but it didn’t have a bed for our one year old daughter, so we sent Vic a message and he went out of his way to find one. Great start! When we got there, the house was even better than the pictures give away: private villa on the quiet outskirts of Ahangama, but a five minute tuk tuk ride will get you to the town’s centre where all the restaurants and such are. Modern bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, nice kitchen and living room, beautiful pool, huge patio with a roof over it, monkeys in the trees in the morning etc. etc. I contacted Vic several times during our stay and always got quick replies with great advice - places to eat, tuk tuk drivers, surf coach and places to see. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again myself some day!

The place is amazing It big size front garden backside infinity pool with ocean 20 meters only. The checkin was very smooth and we were greeted with very kind person caretaker. It was my birthday he arranged cake and all necessary items and was very proactive and humble ready to help, he took us in his tuktuk to buy basic groceries and beer. The place is stunning well equipped kitchen,clean bedrooms and hall. The pool was super fresh and was cleaned daily .Nearby we have many supermarkets and restaurants. It perfect for large families who want peace and family time.

Am booked in for one week, only a five min walk to the beach. It’s ideally located and has a great open space garden area. You don’t hear any traffic only the sounds of mother nature. The room is spacious and the en suite bathroom has a nice shower. A kettle and basic crockery are provided. There’s ample storage space, plug sockets and space to hang your clothes. It’s very affordable and immaculately clean. The mattress is very comfortable and the ceiling fan keeps you cool throughout the night. There’s a washing machine on the property and the host is very accommodating and kind. The dogs greet you upon returning home. Chathura the host has expert knowledge of the surrounding area and is only too happy to assist you. He’s the consummate host, a well deserved five stars.

Beautiful villa with abundant space, verandah-style living, a great pool, and spotlessly clean. A short tuk-tuk ride away from Galle Fort and 10 minutes to the beaches of Unawatuna. The villa itself whilst in quite a busy part, enables a highly peaceful and relaxing holiday. We spent just over a week there and the caretaker (Fayas) went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and the chef (Rizwan) cooked us numerous and varied breakfasts, allowing us to sample delicious traditional food we’d not had before. Check in and out during very early morning due to flight times were also accommodated. Overall we had a great holiday at the villa and would highly recommend.

Gads Villa is a truly magical place. The gardens are exquisitely landscaped, and the giant Velvet Apple tree is really a wonder to behold. The pool has a shallow section which is perfect for little ones, or for adults to lounge in. The kitchen is huge and had everything we needed (important when traveling with 4 youngsters!). The bathrooms are likewise huge and very prettily set out. Beds are comfortable and the fans were sufficient to keep us cool at night. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe, a few minutes tuk tuk ride into the main part of town. I personally found it very convenient to have yoga and a little spa within a few minutes walk. Secret Beach is also only a short walk away. Sahan and team were super helpful, and breakfasts were delicious. All in all a fabulous stay.

Very nice stay with this lovely family! They are very loving and truely cared about me. They made some food and shared it. Everything what I needed was there. Would highly recommend as a homestay.

As soon as we arrived, Chanuka received us with sincerity. Their welcome drinks were amazing. The house was as beautiful as the pictures. We were impressed by the sincerity of their entire family. And the check-out day was truly amazing. They organized breakfast and lunch for us. We had a wonderful few days. Those who want to visit Galle can rest assured in this house. We had a good stay in Gihan’s place, he is a friendly and kind host same for his family and the beautiful dog Leo. They tried to accommodate us in the best possible way which we appreciate very much, giving us a bigger room and providing us with better internet solutions (60GB for 7 days) which is usually only 2GB per day and not unlimited. It’s great that they provide a kitchen for the guests, it’s an outdoor kitchen though which caused us some trouble due to many insects. So keep in mind to store all foods in the fridge. There are many mosquitoes at the property which gave us hard time and also without air conditioning is very very hot and is difficult to sleep. At least while staying there in the beginning of November We can recommend the place, but consider to bring mosquito spray and to a room with AC. If you need to work or use the internet a lot, buy a local SIM Card too. We wish Gihan and his Family all the best.

Great apartment, had all the basic necessities! The host and family were so incredibly helpful! Gave us a number for a great tuck tuck driver, warned us about the rambunctious monkeys that like to stop by, tried to keep us up to date on the power outages and more. It’s a lovely little jungle villa, with that being said, jungle = lots of bugs, there’s no way around it. Just don’t leave any open food out and that will help lessen the bug situation. Also, mirissa beach (great spot for restaurants and beach days) is a bit too far to walk, so I’d recommend getting a scooter or a bike and the host has a person for that too!! All around, would stay again if we come back to Sri Lanka! Host and family were so so so helpful and friendly!

We experienced excellent hospitality from Mr Nihal and his wife during our very short stay at Galle. The apartment was exactly as advertised, spacious, squeaky clean and all listed amenities functional. Bed was comfortable and air conditioning in the room was a plus to beat the humid Galle weather. The area was quiet, peaceful and a short tuk tuk ride away from the Fort. The hosts were extremely helpful when we had trouble figuring out the shower and they also provided us with tea and snacks before our early morning check-out. We truly appreciate their kindness and thoughtfulness towards their guests. Highly recommend this stay at Galle.

Very worth for the price! Easy to walk to nearby beaches and cafes. Definitely hard to sleep in at all since the road gets quite loud with busses honking. The house is next to the forest/jungle so there are many small bugs like ants in the bathroom and sometimes the bedroom but it’s not so bad, just something to be aware of. The power went out a few times during our stay but apparently that’s pretty normal for this region especially if it is raining. Overall would still recommend for good location and price. Padma was able to do our laundry as well for a small fee

The old chilli house really did feel like a home from home. In a great location Kris and his family were very warm and welcoming. Kris is a natural host and had contacts for anything we wanted to do. From Tuk Tuk and Scooter rides when needed to his amazing knowledge of the area. We were so lucky to experience this little slice of paradise. The old chilli house has beautiful rooms, with attention to small, homey details. Do not hesitate to book, it’s a popular airbnb for a reason!
