Beachfront holiday rental in Balapitiya

Chathura’s place is very close to the beach around 8 mnts walking from turtle beach , the famous Hikkaduwa beach is also within walking proximity . The AC can keep you cool in summer & they have kitchen along with basic equipment’s as well . Size of room is decent enough . Free Washing machine is a big plus point , they provide detergent as well. Now the Host Chathura is an amazing fellow , He is a great host with super supportive nature , he greets us with cinnamon Tea & provide all necessary information about the vicinity. He also gave 5% discount for the Water Jars . The biggest Pros I would say is His smile & helping nature as a host . I would definitely recommend him with blind 👁️.

The villa itself is great, 4 spacious bedrooms, more well-maintained grounds, a pool that is taken care of every morning. The house was cleaned every other day, with a change of towels. The kitchen has everything you need, dishes, a fire pans, upon arrival there was egg milk salt oil. Washing machine is also available. Among the disadvantages: we were from the middle to the end of April 2025, the non-season began there were very strong waves and our beach did not meet our expectations at all, immediately after the steps there was no sand, as we saw in the photo, but the huge blocks of rocks under which the ocean is raging, that is, to go down these stones in the right vilas 6. We were with 3 kids and it was very problematic for us. After talking to the staff, they explained to us that at this time it is always so, there is a low tide and the sand goes away, then returns. The conclusion of the villa is great but it is recommended to visit in season Separately, I want to note the driver(he also washed the pool in the morning) drove us everywhere, was very patient.

It was a pleasure to stay here. We had everything we needed. Nihal helped a lot: with transfers, sightseeing, food, house, etc. We didn't have any problems. He's a great host! I highly recommend it!

If you’re looking for a private beach with the ocean, this is the place for you! Far from popular tourist spots, you’ll find peace and tranquility here. There are several oceanfront restaurants nearby. The staff is attentive, and excellent breakfasts were included!

We had a Honey moon and New Year in Akain villa. The villa is situated very close to the ocean. We prefer to see sunsets at the beach. The owners are very kind and friendly people. They help us, brought everything what we need. In the eve of New Year Candy and Lakmina organized unforgettable beach party with national food and fireworks for their guests! There is 20 minutes to the fish market by foot. Every Saturday there is the market not far from the villa. We have wonderful time in this house.

Thanks for everything, Tharanga and her family were so nice and helpful. We had to move and couldn’t stay the week but we really recommend staying at Tharanga’s place. The food was amazing!

True local experience! Dinner was awesome, and the view from the top deck was a delight, plenty of birds,squirrels and monkeys to watch. Excellent value for money. Please note that the location on the map is incorrect - the property is further up and took me about 7-8 minutes to walk to the beach. Own transport would be ideal in this location - I had difficulties with PickMe but kindly the host would source me a tuktuk from the village :)

The White Sand Villa stay will be the highlight of my Trip to Sri Lanka. The Villa was Fantastic with a Pool and just a Few Steps from the white Sand and your the Prive Indian Ocean Lagoon. the Staff was just so Nice took care of all our requests. The Chef just made best food what we wanted. I will recommend this Villa to anyone. Nirasha was Fantastic host.

We had a wonderful stay at Catherine’s cottage. Location was good; walkable to the beach. It is hard to fully explain just how spacious the cottage is - every room is large and well thought out, even the outside veranda is enormous. The children loved the little pool, it was absolutely perfect to end our Sri Lankan adventure. Thank you.

We had six lovely days at the villa. It’s right on a quiet beach, and a five minute walk to see the turtles! Sunil’s breakfasts were amazing and he was always willing to help. Would definitely recommend.

Wow.....We stayed for our winter break for two months and it was fantastic. The villa, although a little quirky was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, the outside areas were fantastic, really good pool and beutifully kept gardens, with direct access to the beach and nearby restaurants. Gievs was always on hand to give us local information and to resolve any problems that occurred. Having problems reaching the beach due to the sand retracting with the tide he organised wooden steps to make our access easier within day....fantastic. The biggest joy of our stay was the house manager...Sadika who was always on hand to keep the villa pristinely clean and serve the best gin and tonics in Sri Lanka. his mother would come and cook our meals if we wished and honestly, her food was outstanding, beating most restaurant standards in the area. My family and I loved the house and everything about it. As somebody mentioned before there are 3 bulls/cows, 4 dogs. They don’t bother you at all but the kids didn’t play as much as they wanted in the backyard because they were afraid of the bulls. The house is VERY clean, very comfortable beds and big bathrooms. And most importantly the staff are very respectful and helpful.

I allow myself to call Dananjaya already a Super Host! Staying with him and his family for more than two weeks I can only tell positive things and stress the warm, welcoming, and respectful hospitality I encountered. The communication was always easy and respectful, I received lots of valuable information and amazing support from him and his family, and still I perfectly enjoyed my privacy. Besides my room with AC and the connected bathroom I enjoyed a spacious area on the first floor with a well equipped kitchen for myself. My favourite spot, however, was the hammok between the trees. I can highly recommend the place, e.g. for solo travelling women as I always felt save and well treated but also for families due to the spacious area! I'm very thankful for the amazing time I had and happy to come back again soon.

Had a great stay at this beautifully furnished, duplex condominium. The apartment has ample space, is extremely comfortable and ideally suited for a large family or group. It is also equipped with all the amenities you would expect from any 5* hotel. The host, Minoli was also extremely helpful and very pleasant to deal with. All in all, one of the best condominium properties in the area!

The home has a fantastic location right on a human beach! The complex of the property is also beautifully designed and invites you to stay there. Truly a special and uniquely designed place to stay!

Dilhan and his family welcomed us warmly from the start. We were well looked after and had people to contact around the clock. The apartment is clean and as shown in the pictures. Unfortunately, the apartment is opposite a very noisy street, but after the first few days this didn't bother us anymore and we were able to sleep well at night in the comfortable beds with earplugs. The apartment also has no hot water, but that didn't bother us at all in 30 degree heat. There is a bus stop right outside the front door from which you can get directly to Ahangama and Mirissa for little money. There is no air conditioning, but there is a powerful fan in every room. We highly recommend the accommodation and really felt very comfortable during our two weeks of stay :)

I stayed for two weeks at this beachfront villa in Ambalangoda, and it was an incredible experience. The villa is spacious, with large rooms and plenty of space to relax. Having a parking area was a huge advantage, especially for my rented motorcycle. Denuka, the host, was extremely helpful and responsive. He quickly addressed my requests via WP and ensured a smooth stay. Another highlight was Denuka’s uncle, who spends most of the day near the swing in the front yard. He is incredibly kind and always ready to help whenever needed. Exploring the surroundings by motorcycle was a fantastic experience—I highly recommend it. Overall, this villa is a great choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and scenic getaway. I would definitely stay here again!

Everything was perfect. Benett and hos family was so nice and helpful, the place has a perfect location with a beach-view. The beach and area was calm and really nice. Rekommend it and would love to go back.

Some of the reviews here made me second guess my booking, but you can't always rely on what you read. That said I LOVED my stay here, it was heaven on earth literally ON the beach. I am traveling through SL solo and this place was a dream, Ravi was so helpful and accommodating, he and I got along very well, (yes he is a bit rough around the edges) but you can't always judge a book by its cover. Ravi went out of his way to make me feel welcomed. Erich was amazing as well, his communicaiton was excellent, very responsive. Points: Make sure you discuss price upfront before anything. My only complaint is that Ravi had a bag of laundry done for me and the next day charged me $40 USD!!!! I was floored. I had two bags of laundry done a few days later for $6.50 USD wishing you both all the success ( I have already told 3 people to book with you when they get down South) I hope they do!

We had a wonderful family stay at the villa which was made all the more enjoyable by the excellent care and service provided by the villa staff especially Mervin. Would love to come back.

Incredible garden, views and private balcony space. All staff were super kind, helpful and friendly. Bed is really comfy and the room is really big!

This house on the ocean completely lived up to our expectations! Amazing beach 10 meters from the bed is unforgettable! The waves are big, it's impossible to swim, but we still had a lot of fun. The house has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a cozy living room and a nice yard. Everything is clean and you have everything you need. The service and breakfast are excellent! All our wishes were foreseen in advance. Daily cleaning. And a restaurant with food delivery next door. We had a great rest and highly recommend this accommodation!
