The house lies on the stone jetty only one meter from the sea. The archipelago in which Sandøya lies is one the most popular coastal areas in Norway. The island is sheltered from the islets around yet with a close distance to the ocean. The sun will shine on the property from 10 in the morning till 10 at night at midsummer on a clear summer day.

Our summer house is situated just 15 km outside Arendal on a many acres large piece of land on the island of Tromøya, which is accessable by car. It has its own beach and small boat landing. It has a spectacular view of the ocean. The house consists of two common rooms and five bedrooms. Two of them each has to single beds, the rest twin beds. The bathroom on the ground floor has a shower and washing machine. There is a toilet on the 1. floor, where you will also find three of the bedrooms.

It takes about 15 minutes by bike or 5 minutes by boat to get from the apartment to the city centre. Otherwise, the bus runs 12 times an hour. Krøgen's grocery stores/pharmacy, etc., are only 350 metres away.

Good bus connections to both Grimstad and Arendal. Kristiansand Zoo is only 35 minutes away by car.

New cabin (2022) with high standard and particularly nice and sheltered location. The cabin is located a few meters from the lake and Raet National Park and has its own beach and jetty. It has many outdoor spaces and good sun conditions. Access: The property is located at the heart of Hovekilen, at Sandum Bridge. There is a private road through the neighboring cottage's plot for parking on the property, which is about 10 meters away from the cottage.

Nidelva has 3 outlets to the sea, where one flows out at Arendal city centre and the other two flow out towards Torungen lighthouse. There is little movement in the river in the summer as the cabin is located at sea level.
