Beachfront holiday rental in Arcozelo

A very well-equipped house in a lovely seaside village, larger than the photos make it seem. Antonio greeted us like we were old friends and was really helpful with a couple of logistical issues caused by our late arrival. Miramar is a smashing little spot with a couple of nice eateries. 20 minutes on the train from central Porto and half an hour walk down the beach to the more bustling village of Aguda.

The house of Susana , is charming , super cozy , we feel at home . Pena was the little time we enjoyed it , they were good times in the family and to improve we took our dog , who was also very well received . The only aspect I would say to improve is really the time of check out , it is quite early , I think it does not make much sense especially for those who have not been able to enjoy the house enough, which unfortunately was our case . thank you very much Susana for your sympathy with everything ! We'll be back for sure!

Very nice apartment, good bedding, Rui provided us with a crib and was very responsive. Thank you Rui. The setting is beautiful, maybe a little noisy in high season, but being in front of the beach, just magical.

We are absolutely impressed with the warmth and hospitality of Jorge and Susana! We stayed for 2 weeks and felt completely comfortable! It was spotlessly clean and cozy furnished and lovingly decorated. The bed was so comfy! Jorge and Susana were always available and even left us a few treats on arrival and during the stay. It was also great that we had a separate in the courtyard completely to ourselves. For our two dogs totally great, as they could lie in the sun all day when we were working without having to be afraid that they could run away. In 5 minutes you can walk directly to the huge sandy beach. It was fantastic and we also quickly took the neighbors to heart. Sincere thanks for the great time! We will be back!

A really original and also cozy place to stay. Water pressure and temperature of the shower rather weak, but hey, it is a - very gentle swinging - houseboat! We felt comfortable thank you so much

Peter's place is simply amazing. Quiet, clean, bright and just a 2 minutes walk to the beach. Highly recommended. Peter and his wife are very welcoming and responsive. We'll certainly repeat.

Spacious apartment, pretty, in a quiet residence, by the sea, with swimming pools, sauna, gym. the apartment is well equipped, clean , with a balcony with pool and sea view! in October it's very quiet. lots of things to see around ovar and 40 min from port. to improve: mattresses that lack comfort in our opinion (the one in the master suite is very uncomfortable ) , the bedding is very clean however like the rest of the apartment! had a great time with the family Thanks

The quiet area with dunes and sea views, a great bed and a great shower, were fundamental elements of our experience in this apartment. The most unpleasant thing was the communication with those responsible for the accommodation: all the people I exchanged messages with were kind and diligent to respond but the fact that they referred us to a website asking for more data and more procedures (in addition to those provided here on Airbnb) made me angry and frustrated. In this process of exchanging messages I had to do what I consider a disproportionate effort for a simple booking. For the sake of the next guests, I hope you can improve on the simplification of the process! I appreciate the flexibility and kindness you had at check-in and check-out!

We have never experienced such a well-maintained, clean and well-equipped apartment. It corresponds 100% to the photos. There is a large underground parking lot. The landlord Manuel took care of things proactively and asked several times if everything was okay. The location is right on the main beach of Esmoriz, separated only by the waterfront road. However, it should be noted that at the end of August, a fair takes place right in front of the house with corresponding volume in the afternoon and evening.

We were also able to experience a wonderful stay in the low season (October). The property is very well equipped, the nearest cities such as Viano do Castelo, Braga and Porto are great to reach. The nature is beautiful, even in slightly worse weather the dunes and the beach always offer time for long walks. Because of a canceled flight, we were even allowed to rebook subsequently and Carla was very, very friendly and responsive to all requests. Thanks for the great time!

We had a wonderful stay! The hosts were very welcoming and always available if we needed anything. The apartment is clean, spacious, and well-maintained. It has everything you need for cooking — all the necessary kitchenware is provided. There are supermarkets nearby, which was very convenient. The location is fantastic — close to the promenade, the beach, and lots of great restaurants. We truly enjoyed our time here and will definitely come back with our family!

We were very welcome the house is in a very quiet area and the neighbors very friendly and hear no noise inside the building and inside the apartment. Impeccable!

The place was a dream to be in. We were there in April and the weather was very changeable and cool. Thanks to the heating, however, we did not have to freeze and could watch the waves and the sea completely relaxed from the inside.😍 The view was really impressive and extremely relaxing. The kitchen was very well equipped. Carmen was always helpful and the contact very friendly. We definitely recommend the place! Car makes sense for sure, but we were also able to do shopping on foot (Lidl about 25 min, smaller supermarkets about 10 min walk)

Had a brilliant stay, the perfect location for our family (ranging from 2 - 62!). The apartment was as described and spotless. Hugo’s finishing touches with some key items provided (milk, coffee, shower gel, washing tablets etc) were such a thoughtful touch and made all the difference to our first day. We didn’t need to hit the supermarket as soon as we arrived. The local guide provided by Hugo was really helpful and there are several restaurants and bars along the beach front - we tried several and all were lovely. We used a car rental to get around, but Ubers are cheap (€8-€10 into Porto) and readily available if preferred. There’s also the 906 bus which runs fairly regularly and costs €2.50 from just up the road from the apartment. Porto town is an obvious visit but I’d also recommend Bom de Jesus in Braga (approx 50 minutes) if you enjoy walking, architecture and religious settings.
