Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Alameda

We loved this home. The area was great and near everything and the street was nice and quiet for the area. The home was immaculate, the care to maintain this home is obvious! Next time we are in San Francisco, this will be our first choice for lodging.

Toyin's home was upgraded, clean, spacious and comfortable for our family of 5 adults. Check-in was very easy and instructions were clear. Communication with her was easy with quick response time. The only issue we had was a couple of the pictures from the listing were not quite accurate. The listing showed 3 bedrooms, 2 with queen beds and one with 2 individual beds. The home actually has 3 bedrooms with 3 queen beds. There was a day-bed in the living room area which my 6-foot son ended up using. It worked out ok for our short stay, but it would have been helpful to know the bed configuration info in advance. Also the back yard needs a bit of cleaning and maintenance - not quite as represented in the pictures. One of the wooden fence panels is broken/ missing and a couple of the fabric chair cushions are torn. There is a metal table with seats which we hosed down and used. Aside from that the home is bright and clean inside and well equipped with all the necessities.

Overall I enjoyed my stay. The host was responsive and helpful. I felt good staying there especially since it was close to a lot of the things I wanted to do.

Jilayi is a wonderful host with a beautiful house. Every decor choice within the house feels very thoughtful and it definitely added to the overall ambiance of the house and made the stay pleasant. We had everything we needed and instructions to check were super easy to follow. Love how accommodating the host was of our every need. The beds too were very comfortable and bathrooms spotless. The high ceiling of the house makes the home feel very roomy and not too congested like some airbnbs we have been to before. 5 stars from our side

We were stuck when our rental property on another booking site was not habitable and we found Will's place and it was available. It was exceptionally clean and quiet and had a lovely, private backyard sitting area which was beautifully landscaped. Great master bedroom with views, huge bathroom and massive walk-in closet - all squeaky clean with plenty of towels. Will's house is very private despite being in a cul-de-sac and is not overlooked by any house. It was a very bright and sunlit house and we really enjoyed our time there.

I’d have to say I was a little nervous about staying in an ADU but Sushil just kept to himself and allowed us to come in and out hassle free and that helped me feel more comfortable. Check in was easy once I followed the instructions carefully. I highly recommend a stay at this AB&B to all. We definitely will look him up if we are in the area again. Thanks Sushil!

The place was as advertised- spacious and comfortable. Beautiful backyard with comfortable seating. Only downside was that the ping pong racquets and pool cues were worn and barely useable. It’s a minor complaint but we did pick the place based on having these games available. Still a great place to gather our family.

We had a great stay at this Airbnb. Everything is working as your are expecting. I will recommended to my Family & Friends.

We returned to the Bay Area from the East Coast for a family event - and were lucky to find Charlie and Jenny’s place very close to where family lives. Communication was amazing even before the trip began . The apartment is on the bottom of Charlie and Jenny’s house and very private . There is a separate parking space, which is a a huge bonus in the area. The living space is VERY roomy - much more so than I expected from pics! SUPER clean , and SUPER well stocked, with lots of personal touches . Loved the kitchen and bathroom !!! I had to do some work during the week and there was a woke space as well. Two comfy bedrooms with VERY comfortable beds, extra blankets, pillows, pool/beach towels - you name it. We met both Charlie and Jenny in person and they were so lovely to chat with . Charlie gave lots of great restaurants info ! If you travel with family or kids- they also will find so many toys, games- even bathtub toys ! Since we will return to the area, I would absolutely return!

The spot is bigger and better appointed than the photos show. The location is great and parking was easy. Would definitely stay again.

I absolutely loved Sue's quiet, adorable cottage in Oakland. It was everything I wanted and more. She adds special touches that are above the normal expectations. There were snacks for us upon arriving too tired to go to the store. The mattress was amazingly comfortable. All amenities you could possibly need in the bathroom and kitchen and all very clean. Thank you Sue for sharing your home with us.

As everyone else has said, then place is very clean, exactly as described, Sheilah is very responsive and the location is very safe. If the location in Alameda works for you, this place will fit the bill. Highly recommended.

This cute little ground-floor apartment is right around the corner from downtown Alameda, making it easy to walk to shops and restaurants or just around the neighborhood admiring the fascinating architecture. The apartment is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with toiletries and office supplies in case you forget something. Though some noise is inevitable from the main house above, the occupants took care to minimize it, and it was not an issue for us. Bathtub notes: There is plentiful hot water and a great showerhead. The tub, however, is straight-backed and not comfortable for lounging.

Our 2nd booking with this listing. It meets all expectations. Very clean. Anything needed for our stay was available. A well stocked kitchen was perfect for our meal preps. The super hosts have a generous welcome basket that was wonderful for our later arrival quick snacks. The hosts, Stanley and Virginia, are quick responders to any of our inquiries.

I definitely recommend this place if you want to have a peaceful trip around San Francisco Had a lovely 3 week stay at Michael’s apartment in Oakland. The place is spacious, very well equipped, comfortable and has a big garden 😍 on top of that, the apartment is very close to everything you’ll need, 3 to 5 minutes walk to supermarkets, restaurants, banks, fast-food, coffee places, and direct buses to San Francisco. The neighbourhood is cute, peaceful The only flaw to this apartment is the lack of light in it, but the garden and its squirrels compensate 😸 Michael and his wife are sweet and warm, and willing to help if needed. The perfect hosts! Thank you again guys ❤️

Beautiful condo only a block and 1/2 away from the beach/pier. The home was fully stocked and the beds were very very comfy! Loved the outdoor patio area with the fire pit.

We loved our stay here! So centrally located to everything we needed; we could walk to coffee and shops and restaurants easily, and then just a short drive to so many other things, including SF and the beach. The space exceeded our expectations in every way--cozy bedrooms, sweet patio behind the house, lots of games and books and a great kitchen. And getting in and out of the house with the keyless entry made it so simple--no keys to worry about! We'd definitely stay there again!

michael was a responsive and helpful host and the condo was clean and comfy.

It's a beautiful place! The ocean view is spectacular. The lights on the Pacifica Pier light up the ocean at night so it feels like you have an ocean view 24/7.

This is a time share property. So it operates more like a hotel than a private condo. Randall contacted me ahead of time to give a heads up of what to expect when checking in. The room was great. It was a mini suite with a kitchenette, living area and separate bedroom. There’s a washer & dryer on every odd floor that are free for the guests, and the front desk will give you free detergent if you need it. The only downside is that it is on the edge of the tenderloin district, so one wrong turn and you are in very sketchy surroundings. In the opposite direction is the union park area, which is nice and has some decent cafes and stores. So definitely take the map from the front desk and heed their warnings about what area to avoid, and you’ll be fine.

This was a wonderfully appointed, super clean large flat with very comfortable beds, gorgeous vintage living room, beautiful dining room and a wonderful kitchen for cooking with enormous light having the availability of a parking space is a great plus. This location is extremely convenient to the Golden Gate Bridge and Marin County as well as to the San Francisco, Marina for beautiful hikes and many trendy restaurants and coffee, shops, and bakeries. The location is close to a busy road that is relatively quiet at night. The host are charming and professional.

Selamawit’s places is the perfect spot to stay if you ever have business in Oakland – I was there for a local film festival at the Grand Lake Theater. Matching the tranquil location that was within walking distance to all of the excitement of grand Avenue was the impeccable and spacious home as well as Selamawit’s consummate hosting. She was always available, flexible, and attentive to my needs. It was a pleasure to stay in her space I hope to stay there the next time I find myself in the Bay Area.
