The Little Retreat

A bright and cosy guesthouse in a quiet, green setting. Village and shops within walking distance (800 m) and beach within driving distance. The perfect place to unwind and explore the area. PLEASE NOTE: The bedroom is located in the attic, and the ceiling is 1.80 m at its highest point. So, there isn't much room to move around in the room. There's a wardrobe downstairs. The kitchenette has a combination oven, a fridge and a hotplate. Airfryer available upon request. Bus stop 400 m away, train station 1.3 km away.

Our house in the center of Zaandam is located in a quiet and child-friendly neighborhood a few minutes' walk from the city center. In fifteen minutes you are at the station, and from there you are in another fifteen minutes at Amsterdam Centraal. It is a perfect place for a short vacation with child(ren), in the middle of the tranquility of Zaandam and the cozy hectic of Amsterdam nearby. The Zaanse Schans is also around the corner, and the nature reserve Het Twiske is a fifteen-minute bike ride away.

Je kunt hier: * lezen in het zachte licht * wandelen en daarna volledig tot rust komen * gewoon zijn, zonder haast Voor wie wil vertragen, rust belangrijker is dan drukte en weer even wil landen in zichzelf.

This 3 bedroom chalet close to Amsterdam is very comfortable inside with a big and private outside space. By public transportation, the centre of Amsterdam is 45 min away, by car about 20 min. Haarlem and Alkmaar are close, as is Volendam, de Keukenhof and the North Sea Beach. The chalet is located on a resort. There is a pool, a big play ground, a pond, go kart and bike rental... Please be aware that the resort is located close to SPL Airport. You will see and hear airplanes occasionaly.

Zaandam is well known for its’ maritime history and hosts the famous open air museum Zaanse Schans. Our place is a great hub to explore Amsterdam and its surroundings, like Zandvoort beach and charming Haarlem. Cozy and peaceful, the garden suite is a perfect place to relax after a long day of walking and sightseeing.

Just 10 km away are the bustling cities of Amsterdam and Haarlem. The Kennemerduinen and the beaches of Ijmuiden, Zandvoort and Bloemendaal are easily accessible by bike, car or public transportation. Surrounded by greenery, this is your starting point to explore the area.
