Glückstadt, the gem on the Elbe, is centrally located in Schleswig-Holstein. From here, both the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, as well as the Hamburg metropolitan region, can be reached in a short time. Among other things, Glückstadt is located on the Elbe Cycle Route as well as on the Mönchsweg and is also a worthwhile vacation destination for cycling tourists. Our apartment is located outside the city center. On foot you can reach it in about 20 minutes along the idyllic Fleth to the harbor, the jetty, the dike or the market square.

The cozy miller's house, built in 1860, is a typical thatched cottage in a rural location. It invites you to feel good and relax on 141 square meters of living space and a large garden. The Wadden Sea and the North Sea are only 5 km away. Upon arrival, the beds are already made, 1x towels/linens per person are included. Your favorite pet (for a fee of €5 per day) is welcome here. Our eco-wooden house is located in the small town of Süderhastedt between the Kiel Canal and the North Sea. We ourselves live in Hamburg and have discovered this region away from the tourist hustle and bustle as an oasis of peace and a counterpoint to the big city. In the morning the rooster crows, in the evening the flames crackle in the fireplace and at night a heavenly peace under a clear starry sky. After the unfortunate fire of our cozy thatched cottage, we now have a light-flooded wooden house.

Vacation on - everyday off! Freshly renovated apartment on the dike with wide views over the fields and meadows. Furnished with unique pieces and things that make you happy. Terrace facing the bright evening sky, therefore no TV. Great bathroom and PiPaPo … see photos. Hear the seagulls scream, the sheep bleating and let the wind blow around your nose. Each apartment has its own natural garden. Ideal place for a relaxing couple's vacation to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

Cottage by the dike in Balje region

Immerse yourself in the timeless retro charm of our vacation home on the dike in Balje. The rural life, the expanses of the outer dyke as well as the large garden, in which fruit trees can also be found, invite you to slow down. From the upper floor you can look at the Elbe with its shipping traffic to and from Hamburg. Nestled between Cuxhaven and Stade, many small towns offer beautiful routes and opportunities for shopping and lingering, also for cyclists and motorcyclists.

Cozy house on the dyke, fantastic apple garden with private sauna and terrace and direct access to the dyke, own garden bench on the dyke overlooking the Elbe and beach right outside the front door! Peace, relaxation and pure nature guarantee a relaxing vacation experience. On not so nice days, the fireplace provides coziness. The kitchen is well equipped and has two induction plates, a small mini oven, coffee maker, toaster, and a smoothie maker

Vacation in our "little house"

Our "little house" is decorated with a lot of love, just as we would also decorate a vacation home for ourselves. It is in the village, but quiet with views of horses & cows. You have your own garden that you can use for yourselves. The building, which was completely renovated in 2020, is in an outdoor location and offers you a mile-long view of the Dutch town of Friedrichstadt on the large south terrace. End the day with a view of a unique sunset. Explore the area on extended bike tours or cool off in the natural swimming area 350 meters away. The nearby Treene river offers you a variety of leisure activities.

Large windows flood the house with light throughout the day. Children can enjoy the playroom with a swing and toys. Relax in the bathtub after a day of adventure or explore the surroundings with our bicycles – the perfect place to unwind and relax!

Right on the edge of the Hullen bird sanctuary in Nordkehdingen lies the small town of Balje. An agricultural area full of nature. The small thatched house on Deichstraße has a lot of history behind it and was completely renovated and newly expanded by me last year. The house is nestled in a natural garden. Apple trees, cherry trees, currant and jostaberry bushes create a nice feel-good atmosphere.
