Cottage holiday rentals in Wheeler Lake

I highly recommend staying at this lake house. If you are looking for a place to relax and have all the things you need to have a wonderful time then this is the place for you. Will’s hospitality and communication was the best I’ve ever experienced with an AIRBNB stay. The pictures of the home look amazing online but when you get to the lake house it is even more beautiful.

The house was amazing. There are 3 floors (one above and one below the ground floor), and each one has a living room with seating and a TV! 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the top floor, master en suite plus a half-bath on the ground floor, and another bedroom and bathroom on the lower floor. My husband and I were the only ones staying in this huge house; it would be perfect for a large group, offering places for gathering and also for privacy. We walked down a path to the marina and had a nice dinner at the Bluegill Grille. Be aware that the path between the neighborhood and the marina is somewhat lengthy, has quite a grade to it, and will be challenging for some. We got attacked by a plague of mosquitos on our walk back to the house, so bring bug repellent!! We recommend booking a tour of the Jack Daniels distillery in Lynchburg, going to the Beechcraft Heritage Museum, & having a tasting at Beans Creek Winery in Manchester. Each destination is a reasonable drive from the house!

Lovely stay at Leslie’s home. My wife and I enjoyed some much needed time away. We went to a local restaurant Fire by the lake. Then we can back to relax in the hot tub there are privacy shades to pull down because the house has several nearby neighbors but that was totally fine it was nice and quiet. One last thing the mattress topper on the front bedroom was like sleeping on a cloud so be sure to try it out if you get the choice of a bedroom ! Leslie was very responsive. Guntersville is a beautiful town.

This was one of our best air BNB stays. Our daughter got married at Stone Haven and it was great to find a home that was just 8 minutes from the venue! This proved to be very convenient. The home was very clean. The kitchen was very well stocked. We didn’t cook anything while we were there but if we had, we would not have had a problem doing so. The kitchen has everything you need and more. My husband enjoyed using the hot tub every morning and evening. It was perfect. The furniture was clean and comfortable. The house was very well maintained, everything functioned as it should. The host is extremely nice and very attentive. We had absolutely no problems during our stay, the host made sure we had everything we needed. Wish we could have stayed longer. The home is located is a very quiet and peaceful area. Staying in this home for our daughter’s wedding was the cherry on top of a beautiful weekend. Thank you so much Stacey for sharing your home with us.

Wow. Words don’t do this place justice! If you are looking for a peaceful getaway from the craziness of everyday life, book a stay immediately! You won’t regret it. I’m not too much of an outdoorsy girl, but I still felt completely in my element at this perfect blend of farm living and modern comforts. Gorgeous views, friendly and helpful hosts, charming farm and garden, romantic privacy - this place has it all. Bonus: The host left fresh eggs from the chickens for us in the kitchen, and we purchased some meat they had available as well - all delicious!

The best Airbnb we have ever had!! We stayed for our daughter’s wedding and stayed a few days after. Kari was very responsive and answered all our questions as soon as we messaged her. Stellar lake house with incredible views, fantastic design features, and perfect vacation amenities! Sheila was an amazing host with wonderful communication throughout our stay. The home was a perfect escape for coffee-filled morning porch-sitting and cozy evenings inside watching fireflies. Our weekend plans were derailed by weather. We were blessed to have Sheila’s lovely home as a place for new flexible planning around the area. Winchester, Lynchburg, and Fayetteville had charming town squares and a few attractions to explore. Extraordinary home that is a one of a kind place for all sorts of fun! Thank you, Sheila!

The Clementine Cottage was perfect. It was cute, quaint, CLEAN, well outfitted with lots of nice extras. She had brochures on all the nearby activities. We fished, we kayaked, we sat around the fire pit, we enjoyed the screened porch. My only complaint would be that I mistakenly thought the cabin would be a little more secluded but even with that being said, it was quiet, it was serene, we enjoyed our long weekend very much and are talking about another trip there. And Gloria is a great hostess. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice everything was.

Awesome place with tons of great outdoor activities. Nice community with good public spaces. Comfy beds, great ac, easy access to amenities. Pup shed was a great additional space. Host very prompt to communicate as well. Would definitely stay again!

This was the best place to stay for my birthday! The lake was beautiful and very quiet. Everyone who stayed with us was obsessed with the house. It had everything we needed that we didn’t even need to leave! The host was very responsive and helpful. This has been one of my favorite stays and will definitely be back.

The place is exactly as described and pictured. We had 3 couples and had plenty of space and seating. We brought food and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the cookware we needed. We had a boat and utilized the dock without issue. The place was very clean. The host was quick to respond to all questions. Wonderful stay! Would book again!

Teresa and Dan were amazing!! They left special touches everywhere to make sure my family felt at home! Without a doubt the cleanest AirBnB we have ever stayed in! We have spent a ton of time on the mountain and this was by far our favorite place! We would use Teresa and Dan again in a heartbeat!!

One of our new favorite places to stay! Kerry was extremely helpful and responsive. Checked in on us during bad weather! We went to one of the recommended places to eat (docks and decks) and it was FANTASTIC! My son loved the tree house as well as the playgroundand my wife loves the screened in porches yes 2 of them and I loved the lake being an avid fisherman even caught a bass right off the bank! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful, cozy home in a nice, safe and well-kept neighborhood. Beautiful surroundings, that brings such a sense of peace! Kim was an amazing host. She was very friendly, accommodating and quick to respond. We will definitely be back on our next vacation!
