House holiday rentals in Whakatane District

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. House was nice and tidy, had no issues at all. Views out both sides were probabaly the highlight and a lovely deck that goes around the house. Overall good layout and had a good time!

Beautiful home with an equally beautiful view of the sea. Had everything we could have possibly wanted or needed. The homemade chocolate cake was an appreciated extra.

Stunning views and a beautiful property. Came with family for a little weekend holiday and we really relaxed and enjoyed our stay. The house is so well laid out and designed, each bedroom has its own en suite and everyone had their own space to relax. While the weather was not as hot and sunny as we had hoped we still used the pool and spa and also enjoyed the game room. Great place to unwind and relax with family or friends!

We had a fantastic stay in Adrienne’s place whilst visiting family living close by. We enjoyed the family orientated spaces and the kids loved the pool and table tennis table. The kitchen allowed us to cook and dine altogether which was a really lovely thing to be able to do with our extended family and we enjoyed movies and boardgames in the evening afterwards. It’s a fab house and well worth the money🙌 Adrienne has all bases covered when it comes to kitchen equipment, utensils, consumables, towels, blankets etc. it really was a home away from home for us our only regret was that we couldn’t have booked it for longer. When we return we will definitely hoping we can book here again 🙏Many thanks to Adrienne again for sharing this special family space with us🙌

Had a wonderful 2 weeks over Christmas at Sherries place. Fantastic location across the road from the amazing beach, and walkable to the port and coffee shop. House contained everything our extended family needed for the stay with spots to go for some peaceful reading. Sherrie was lovely and friendly to deal with and little things like leaving the Christmas tree up and showing us around when we arrived early were greatly appreciated. Totally recommend.

Stayed afew nights at Ani's place ha a awesome stay and its a lovely home. Had all that you would need spacious and walking distance to everything would definitely reccomend & stay again.

Really enjoyed our stay at Diane's house. It was an easy walk to the expansive Ohope beach - a great beach for kids to swim at with waves big enough for surfing and body boarding against the spectacular backdrop of Whakaari/White Island. Plenty to do nearby but the jewel in the crown for Ohope has to be Ohiwa Harbour for anyone interested in habitat restoration. The area is excellent for birdwatching at low tide where we spotted banded rails including chicks, bar-tailed godwits and New Zealand dotterel. The house itself was clean, comfortable and spacious. Well worth a visit.

Our Ohope Beac Bach was amazing. it had everything we needed for our relaxing holiday. Comfy beds, outdoor eating seating, hot outdoor shower, boogie boards, every cooking item/utensil you would need, and a fridge full of milk, croissants and the most delicious fruit you could find! The pineapple was even cut up ready to eat - just one of the many thoughtful & welcoming gestures by our host Laura. We definitely recommend staying here & would book again in a heartbeat.

Jnana was a fantastic host, incredibly responsive and accommodating., we were also able to check in earlier than we expected, so that was wonderful. We would wholeheartedly recommend Jnanas property to anyone looking for a family holiday. It exceeded our expectations in every way, and we can't wait to return! Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Jane was a great host she was responsive and helpful. Finding the property and getting in was easy and check-out instructions were clear. The property has an amazing outlook over Ohiwa Harbour and is less than five minutes walk to the beach. It's got everything you want for a relaxing family holiday. Family of five, stayed for a week. Should have and would have stayed longer if we could. This place is great, and we loved it. New, clean and with a well planned set up. Has everything you need, including amazing appliances. Huge deck to sit on and enjoy the view. Comfortable beds. Walk to the beach. Just great. Host is great. Friendly. Clear instructions and helpful recommendations. I would highly recommend staying here.

A lovely place to stay. The location was perfect, just across the road to the beach and the house was comfortable and clean. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying the beautiful view was a highlight of the trip. Highly recommend.

My family and I had a fantastic stay at Darryl and Beths cottage. The cottage itself is so lovely for a getaway to relax; with everything you might need to cook with, it was spotless, beautifully furnished and decorated, and the size perfectly suited our family stay. The location is stunning, across the road to the beach or down the driveway to the harbor, and the general store, playground, wharf etc is a short walk away. Darryl is happy to give local advice. Came home very relaxed and happy. Awesome hosts, thank you!

We had a terrific time here. So close to the beach and everything you need. The house was very clean and big enough for the 4 of us.

It was such a great place to relax. Perfectly positioned to either wander down to the beach or walk to the cafes. We loved sitting on the deck watching the waves and soaking up the sun. The house also had a lot of space for everyone to spread out and relax.
