Peace in the countryside in Somerniemi

In the courtyard of the farm, a granny cottage with amenities. From the cottage terrace, you can watch the horses and hear the donkeys greetings. In the summer, you can see the horse pastures from the clearing. The terrace has a new gas grill and furniture. There are also cats, dogs, sheep and a mini pig on the farm. You can get to know the animals with the help of the farm's staff. Near the cottage, there is a pond, not suitable for swimming (hummus water), a small yacht and a canoe available for guests. The pond is visible from the cottage's terrace. You can walk to the pond and see the scenery.

Peltola Mummola, a farmhouse in the side village of Kalajoki

Our accommodation "Mummola" is the old main building of our farm in the courtyard of the farm in Mehtäkylä. Our accommodation has been renovated to modern standards in 2013, preserving the atmosphere of an old-time granny. Our property is located in a quiet side village of Kalajoki, 17 km from the center of Kalajoki and 25 km from Hiekkasärki. Our yard is home to rabbits, chickens, cats, dogs, horses and ponies. A trampoline, a pedal car and a sandbox are also available for guests. There is a barbecue canopy in the yard with a gas grill.

Charming cottage by the lake in a farm setting

Cozy cottage with a separate beach sauna on the shore of the lake. Two separate bedrooms. Behind the kitchen is a sleeping alcove with a double bed. From the hallway to the chamber, where there is a single bed and a sofa bed that can be spread out to a double bed. Kitchen: induction stove, airfryer, microwave and fridge, dishes, summer water from the lake. We bring drinking water with a bucket. Gas grill on the terrace. Composting outdoor toilet. For an additional fee, you can get an extra bed for two. €20/night/person.

The cottage is beautifully situated on Norrbacken next to the forest. Within a three-kilometer radius, there are swimming beaches, hiking and biking trails and the "meteorite crater" Söderfjärden where thousands of cranes stop over in the spring and autumn. Norrbacken is an idyllic hill with small farms, forest paths and little traffic. Our accommodation is suitable for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers and families. We welcome guests from all over the world and can communicate in English if needed.

Traditional log cabin is situated in a very peaceful place by the lake. Lake Konnevesi is very clean and beautiful lake. National Park of Etelä-Konnevesi is founded in 2014. Cottage and sauna are in your use during your stay. Swimming beach is safe for the children. Woods for the sauna and fire place are included. Toilet is in the other building outside the cottage. Rowing boat is in your use during your stay. Pets welcome.

My great grandfather built both the guesthouse and the main building in the 1920's.
