We enjoyed the stay on the houseboat! A wonderful spot on the water with a Superhost! Nice rooms, fun games and plenty to do nearby. We have enjoyed the tranquility in the immediate surroundings of Amsterdam. It was wonderful "coming home" on the ark after a busy day in the city. Marie Louise is very cozy and helpful and always ready to help! Really fantastic!!!@

The accommodation lived up to its promises. The location was beautiful, situated right by the canal. While it’s slightly outside the center of Amsterdam, it remains easily accessible. Karina was a perfect host—always responsive and helpful, providing great recommendations and a booklet with clear instructions. She even allowed us to leave our luggage there before check-in. We would definitely book again.

We were so lucky to be able to stay in such a beautiful place! The beds were comfy, the surroundings were peaceful and beautiful... it was a lovely escape from the busy, city-center. We LOVED the use of the kitchen and the deck just off the kitchen. Hein was so good to have bikes available for us. There is little available directly near the home but a 10 minute bike ride along the lovely road and over the bridge gets you to all you could want. We were sad to leave our Amsterdam home and will hope Hein's home is available when we return.

It was a really nice stay. The kids were thrilled with the surprise that we have a houseboat as a place to stay. This was quietly located, the decor lovingly designed. We felt completely comfortable and had a lot of fun watching the ducks, herons and swans directly from the breakfast table

Very peaceful accommodation, the only noises you will hear will be those of ducks and geese. Listing is as described. Everything you need for a pleasant stay. Carla is very responsive. She greeted us when we arrived and had planned small treats for us, which we found very friendly. We would highly recommend and will definitely make a new stopover when we return to the country!

We really enjoyed the opportunity to stay on a houseboat while in Amsterdam and Fern's home was comfortable and relaxing. It was also nice to see a less touristy side of the city - it's an easy tram ride from the city center. Pepper was quite charming and we were delighted with her presence and the patio was a little oasis. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a more authentic stay.

If you are looking to stay on the river in a quiet neighbourhood - on a house boat - it doesn't get better than this. I loved waking up, peering out onto the water. Each morning the rowers are out, people running along the riverbank - it's incredibly peaceful yet full of life. This is a real boat, not a floating house so you have to navigate different levels inside, getting on and off the boat etc. All part of the charm. Martin is a fabulous host. Note: this is the old school airbnb of old - its Martin's home, beautifully appointed, spacious and generously kitted out - with the comfort of a 'lived in' feel. The upper deck is just delightful, full of light and windows and you can sit with your coffee and watch the river-world go by. The area is surrounded by park, but just nearby is a lovely high-street with shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants and deli's. Trams will take directly into the centre of Amsterdam - everything you need - highly recommended!

Our stay at Claire’s place was nothing short of magical. The location is hard to beat in the heart of Jordaan, steps away from great Dutch cafes, every restaurant we ate at was within a ten minute walk, every one was fantastic. As well as minutes walk from transit. Somehow though being in the middle of everything, being on the water in this houseboat makes you feel like you’re in your own private oasis. Claire has great taste, her home is designed impeccably, with one of the major highlights being the record player, listening to classics like the Beatles, Bowie, The Doors while sitting on the back porch taking in the incredible view of the canal. Bonus was the most efficient washer dryer I used during my 3 week stay in Europe and the large dishwasher. Had we stayed longer, we would have cooked, there was a fully stocked Chefs kitchen. Thanks for the perfect end to our adventure!

A lovely houseboat out of the busy fray of Amsterdam with easily accessible public transportation, cafes and restaurants. The birdlife on the canal was a pleasure, including 5 recently hatched baby coots. Liz gave us proper food to give the parents and we enjoyed watching them feed their offspring. Great break from museums and all the activities of Amsterdam.

We really enjoyed our one night stay. The place is charming, original and easy to get to. We easily found a good restaurant and Aalsmeer is a very nice place. We enjoyed the welcome booklet prepared by Anne who was very responsive and available. The accommodation was clean and functional. We were welcomed and had a very nice stay! It was a great experience sleeping on the water. To be done again!

This boat was such a treat, beautifully presented, spacious, gorgeous views amongst other boats, easy walking around central Amsterdam. The facilities within the boat were top notch, stylish upstairs living space, extremely comfortable beds, lovely bathroom (with the bonus of an upstairs toilet too). If we were there in warmer weather we would have spent more time just hanging out on the deck. Heartily recommend.

Exquisite place, tiny house designed like a boat, where every corner is used and useful. But not too small, we were 3 people and with both beds open there is still place to sit at the table, sit in a couch and move around. Bathroom and kitchen have all it needs. Sleeping on the water was an experience to talk about. The location in the city is close to transports and walkable to the centre across the bridge. We rented their bikes for the day, all impeccable. Easy communication, spotless, fully equipped... all in all one of my best Airbnb stays.

We had fantastic days with our boys. Full days of boating, good food and in the evening on the houseboat. Highly recommended.

We spent three beautiful and very relaxing three nights at Lieve and Rob's place. The first night we spent with Rob in the harbor and the next day he took us out to the beach. Here on the canal between the Rhine and Meuse you can fish wonderfully, walk or take a canoe. We enjoyed the location and also the accommodation. Lieve and Rob are two very nice and friendly hosts. We will be very happy to come back.

Francisco’s houseboat was outstanding. We loved everything about it - it’s spacious, tasteful and comfortable with all the facilities we needed for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed having a glass of rosé and bbq on the deck as the sun went down - heaven. And Aalsmeer is a stunning location - don’t me miss the Garden Museum and cafe for a lovely lunch. Sad to leave
