"De Gulle pracht" Holiday home, Friesland

Our cozy vacation cottage, originally was an old stable that we (Caroline and Jan) converted together, with lots of love and respect for the old details and materials, into this "Gulle Pracht". Through a private driveway with parking, you reach the terrace with the spacious garden, a lawn with surrounding tall trees, where you can enjoy. Through the two French doors, you step into the bright and cozy living room with the white old beams and a fully equipped open kitchen. There is wireless internet available, TV and DVD. Because of the ceiling in the living room that has been removed, beautiful light falls in from the skylights and you have a view of the roof structure with the old round hoods. The beds are located on top of the two lofts. The comfortable double bed is accessed by an open staircase. The other loft, where a third or fourth bed can possibly be made, is only accessible by flexible guests via a ladder. It is not suitable for small children because of the danger of falling, but older children find it exciting to sleep there. Please note, the two lofts share the same large open space. Under the old beams, you can sleep peacefully, where only the sound of rustling trees, whistling birds or your deliciously snoring bedmate will be heard. The room is heated by central heating, but also only the wood-fired stove can heat the cottage comfortably. You will be provided with enough wood from us to start a cozy fire. Through an old stable door in the living room, you come to the bathroom with beamed ceiling and underfloor heating. The bathroom has a good shower, double sink and toilet. With its inlaid mosaics and all kinds of funny and old details, this space is also a feast for the eyes. There are two bicycles available for nice trips in the wider area (Harlingen, Franeker Bolsward). We may want to drop you off in Harlingen for a crossing to Terschelling. You can leave the car in our yard for a while. We, ourselves, live in the farmhouse which is in the same yard. We are available for help, information and advice for fun trips in our beautiful Friesland. Your cottage and our farmhouse are separated by our garden and the big old barn (with pool table), so we both have our own space and privacy. Kimswerd, located on the eleven city route is a small, quiet and beautiful village where our Frisian hero "de Grutte Pier" was born and lived. He still watches over us, in petrified form, at the beginning of our little street, next to the centuries-old Church, which is very much worth visiting as well. You can do your shopping in Harlingen, the supermarket is a fifteen minute bike ride away. The old port of Harlingen is 10 km from our cottage. Kimswerd is located just across the Afsluitdijk. From there, follow the signs N31 Harlingen/Leeuwarden/Zurich and take the first exit at Kimswerd, 1st right at the traffic circle, 1st right again at the next traffic circle, straight ahead at the intersection, across the bridge and immediately take the first left (Jan Timmerstraat). At the beginning of this street, next to the church, stands the statue of the Grutte Pier. We live in the farmhouse behind the church, Jan Timmerstraat 6, first wide gravel path on the right. - For small children, sleeping on the loft without a fence is not advisable because of the danger of falling. It's just fun for big kids, the loft is accessible by a ladder. Please note, it is 1 large open space upstairs with no privacy.

De Oude Smederij

Enjoy and relax in the Frisian countryside? This is possible with us in De Oude Smederij, which was formerly a forge but has been completely renovated into a comfortable vacation home. The Oude Smederij is located in an agricultural area on the outskirts of the village of Arum (on the Elfsteden route) and is centrally located between Harlingen (on the Wadden Sea with ferry services to Vlieland and Terschelling), Franeker (Planetarium and Frisian Museum), Bolsward (Broerekerk) and Makkum, located on the IJsselmeer with boulevard and beach.

Chalet WadGeluk on Terschelling.

Nice chalet on family campsite on Terschelling! Centrally located on the island and 1 km from the beach. The chalet is cozy and fully furnished: equipped with central heating, dishwasher, combi-microwave, 2p bed of 160x200 cm and two 1p beds of 80x200 cm. Outside, you can sit comfortably with views over the meadow. The chalet is non-smoking. At an additional cost, you can rent bath and kitchen linens and/or outsource the final cleaning. During the period from November 15 to March 15, the dog is allowed.

Vlieland, cozy and fully equipped tent

Fully tastefully decorated tent. Storm-proof, large canopy fully lockable sleeping tent which can be used in two parts for 4 people. 1 double bed (with mattresses) and 2 sleeping mats. Incl. gas heater, refrigerator, solar panel for charging phone, tablet. The tent is located at the campsite Stortemelk, section red. Ideal sunny spot with plenty of privacy due to wind screens 10m from the beach entrance. We do not rent to young people under the age of 22 (this is due to the rules of the campsite).

Enjoy a wonderful stay at our horse farm! Located in the beautiful, quiet village of Goënga on the outskirts of the lively and bustling Sneek! and just 5 minutes away from the Potten aan het Water nature and recreation area! It's fully equipped with every comfort and has that extra special touch, plus a whole herd of horses living together in freedom! The charming tiny house is also in a very central location, making it easy to explore the beautiful Friesland area by car, bike, boat or canoe!

Eco-House Zuidenwind Terschelling

The eco-friendly cottage is situated in a peaceful setting, yet close to everything: the beach, the woods, the dunes, the mudflats, the nature reserve, and Hoorn's town center are all within walking distance. Sleeping here will be peaceful. The cottage is beautifully decorated with all sorts of wooden elements and fully equipped. You'll truly unwind here and fully enjoy the island. There's a bakery around the corner for delicious rolls, and the supermarket is about a 5-minute bike ride away.

This beautiful house right on the dike can accommodate up to 6 people. The centerpiece is the spacious terrace with its breathtaking view of the IJsselmeer. Whether spending time in the sun or watching the numerous surfers, sailing boats or water birds. Everyone really gets their money's worth here. The house was furnished with a lot of love to a high standard. Appliances such as a Bora hob and a Quooker hot water tap were installed in the kitchen. We look forward to seeing you.

Buitenhuis, sustainable design chalet on Terschelling

Our love for nature is reflected in the design of this sustainable chalet. Yet you lack nothing; simplicity and comfort go hand in hand. Despite the limited space, it is wonderful to stay here, everything is available for a relaxing stay. The cottage has a lovely spacious terrace and lawn facing south. There is a nice seating area overlooking a fantastic outdoor fireplace with pizza oven! During school holidays, only available for weekly rental with arrival on Friday!

Here in the quiet Frisian Rohel, you can really be outside, feel the wind in your hair and the sun on your skin. Cycling and walking along the meadows and (cold) swimming in the Tjeukemeer. Drink a glass of wine on the terrace by the water, with the view of infinity, under the old fruit trees in the garden. Apart from the sounds of birds, the rustling of the wind and in the distance a tractor, you hear nothing at all here. The sunsets can be amazingly beautiful here.

Centrally located on the beautiful island is our cottage on a small park on Midsland North. 1 km from the village and 2 km from the beach. The cottage is characterized by the light, the efficient layout and it is all equipped with all the comforts. Think about the pizza oven that is outside and where you can put a lovely fire.
