Doors are decorated with landscape motifs by the artist Wilhelm Dreesen.

Whether alone or as a couple - if you are looking for peace, you will find it here! In Ladelund between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, it offers the best conditions for rest and relaxation. Meadows and forests characterize the surroundings as well as inland dunes in the nature reserve, perfect for hikes with animals. Nearby bike and pedestrian paths invite you to explore the surrounding towns. Denmark is just a few kilometers away, as is the small town of Tondern. Access is separate from the residential building.

Halmhuset - The Straw House

Our thatched house is probably the only "Halmhuset" that is rented as a vacation home in Denmark. It is breathable, made of clay and straw, and is sustainably supplied by heat pump and photovoltaics. In summer, the thick walls provide pleasant coolness, in winter it is cozy and warm, with a room height of up to 4 meters. A real feel-good place for up to 8 people, located at the gates of the city of Tønder, close to the Wadden Sea National Park and the islands of Sylt and Rømø.

The living room also offers great opportunities with its approx. 250 m2 with 3 bedrooms on the 1st floor. There is a bathroom and guest toilet on the ground floor. Located in the border country, there is ample opportunity to dive into history or take a trip to Flensburg.

The garden is over 1000 square meters. There is space to grill, play or unwind. The garden is completely enclosed. Of course, there is also a baby crib in the house. The beach is 15 minutes by car. The apartment is centrally located right next to the Treenetal nature reserve and centrally between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. It's just a short hop to Flensburg, Schleswig or across the border to Denmark. It can accommodate 2 people and is fully equipped. Whether you want to relax or actively discover the surroundings - we look forward to seeing you!

Experience a great holiday with us! You live in a historic courtyard building with all the amenities. Plenty of space inside the house, in the play barn with theater stage or outside in the park-like garden give you many opportunities for a relaxing holiday in any weather. If you like, please feel free to visit us at our farm with dairy farming. Our farm is about 300 m away and is easily accessible via a footpath.
