Dutch House Barn (DHB) was lovingly restored during 2023/4 in the Suffolk tradition, using reclaimed materials. As from July 2025 the property includes an original and now renovated 1970's Finnish sauna. DHB is an annex to Dutch House, where I live with Sue, my wife of 51 years and Poppy our dog, who is now 11. The cottage is just steps from the beach, with its traditional colourful beach huts, and so central to Southwold's fantastic cafés, deli's, restaurants, famous pubs & independent shops. Despite all this, the cottage is quiet and not overlooked. Absolutely no pets ever - so allergies are safe.

Starboard Side

Relax in the heart of Southwold in the newly renovated Starboard Side apartment. Please note that this apartment is on the first floor and accessed by a metal staircase. The twin bedroom is on the second floor up a steep and windy staircase. We love our quirky features but they may not be suitable to all guests! Starboard Side boasts one full size king bedroom and one upper floor twin bedroom, With a newly fitted kitchen and top of the range appliances.
