Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Wakefield

Helen was an excellent host. The location was perfect, just a 10 minute walk to the centre of Harrogate. The house was spotless and very well equipped. 100% will stay again.

Kizzie’s place is absolutely gorgeous and was perfect for my husband and I. Didn’t need the car at all and the centre is just a few minutes walk away. Lots of bars, cafes, restaurants to choose from and lovely little shops to browse in. We went to the cinema too which is a few minutes walk away and had a lot of character. Beautiful surroundings, lovely walks down the canal or sit in Kissie’s garden. Bed was so comfy and we slept so well. We will definitely visit again. Thank you!

A lovely place to stay, we all really enjoyed our time here. The welcome basket was very generous and much appreciated. The house is just as described and as seen in the photos... perfect. Shirley was a great host, helpful and responsive. The cottage was lovely and in a beautiful location. There are lots of lovely walking trails to help explore the local countryside.

Perfect place to stay for a few nights. Near to shops and food places and was comfy and clean!

Where do I start there is just so many positive things. I stayed here the night before my wedding with my sister and bridesmaids it was just beautiful in fact stunning. I was amazing. I asked for an early check in as I wanted to take some wedding things across, not only did Claire accommodate me she left a card chocolates and flowers, ironically from the same florist as my wedding flowers. I cried at the thoughtfulness. During the evening Claire then left homemade cakes at the door they were delicious btw. From myself and my wedding party you just blow us away from home he stunning cottage to the views and you being the most amazing kind host. Thank you.

Beautiful apartment right in the centre of Castleton! Lots of restaurants/pubs, small convenience shops, and amazing views right on your doorstep. Marieanne was so friendly and always responsive, and the apartment was very clean and comfortable. Definitely will have to visit again next time we’re in Castleton!

A fantastic location with parking but perfect if you are foot. Easy access from the station and into the city. The accommodation was as specified, nicely furnished and fully kitted out if you want to cook, iron etc. Overlooking the city walls but a quiet location nevertheless. We has a very happy stay.

Lovely clean flat with all amenities-super extra touches with fresh flowers, milk, biscuits etc. Great local maps with information about shops, restaurants and attractions. In fact the whole experience really could not have been better!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated in a vintage style, which made our stay warm and comfortable. Carmen and Martin welcomed us with open arms, and Carmen was incredibly kind and friendly. She explained everything clearly and made sure we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. You couldn't ask for a better location. This flat is very centrally located - close to everything, and yet still very quiet over night and in the mornings. Short walk to the train station, the long stay car park, and to the shops or down to the river. The flat itself is very nice, well appointed and has everything you need for a short stay. Fay was always quick to respond and provided clear instructions for check-in and check-out. We had a really nice stay!

We had a lovely 1 night stay at the Ebor Suite and wished it was for longer. Beautiful decor and everything you need for a short stay. Great detailed instruction for check in. Close to a co-op if you need a few supplies and plenty of restaurants and takeaways. We would certainly return and would recommend to others.

Mike's place was perfect for our 3 night trip to the Colne Valley. The farm shop just across the road and pub a short walk away were very handy. The place was very clean and had everything we needed, and we felt really comfortable as soon as we walked through the front door. Would lo e to come back and explore the area more.

We loved our stay at Gina’s and hope to come back sometime soon. Hebden Bridge is a friendly, charming village - so lovely - and Gina’s place above her fused glass studio is so pretty and filled with light and pops of color. We could walk all over, including in a nearby park and along the river. Thank you, Gina!

My family and I (7 adults & 1 child) recently stayed at ‘The Cottage’ and we all agreed that it was a wonderful holiday. The house is beautiful, very spacious, spotlessly clean and was well equipped for all of our needs. The hub is definitely the kitchen, we enjoyed playing family board games around the dining table. The gardens are amazing we loved watching wild rabbits, squirrels and cows everyday. It was nice to see home grown vegetables and a herb garden too. Our grandson enjoyed playing football with his dad in the garden, jumping on the trampoline and feeding the fish. It is ideally located for travelling into York and not far from the designer outlet. Our group ranged in age from 2yrs to 78yrs and there was something for everyone to do at the house. We all really needed a family break due to recent illness and enjoyed spending time together making lovely memories. We hope to be able to stay again and thank both Neil and Adrienne for sharing their beautiful home with us.

We stayed here for a weekend away as a group of school mates all turning 30. The property was the perfect base for us, providing us with the best possible experience. We’re an active, activity based bunch and this stay had something for everyone. Multiple activities, from the pool table, darts board, table tennis, air hockey, and yes the Pool and Sauna. Many of my friends couldn’t believe just what we had found for this stay. Private use of the pool is a great bonus. All beds were made, fresh linens and towels provided. We used the kitchen to cook our breakfast each morning. There’s ample parking for 3-4 vehicles inside and plenty on street right next to the property, which is a quiet street so not a stress. Whilst the decor is aged, we are not particular on this and found it added to the charm. Plenty of beds, bathrooms and spots to relax. We would stay again! The host was fantastic in communication and response to questions posed and made the whole process easy.
