My husband and I went for a short break. It was exactly what it said, the stream had wonderful waterfalls sound with birds tweeting and natural farm animals just strolling by. It was peaceful and the hot tub was the highlight of the day. Thank you Vicky.

Unbelievable stay. I am a sucker for romantic hideaways with hot tubs! Have done loads but this place trumps everyone! My partner’s birthday- Katie decorated it as a surprise! Did not expect that. Luxurious, beautiful little touches throughout the lodge. The views to die for. Extremely comfortable. Perfect nights sleep. Quiet. Planning to return soon as want to visit Castleton and hope valley. Definitely well worth booking ❤️

Great place to stay, 15mins from york, nice clean cabin and the hot tub was brilliant. Definitely will be coming again.

Staying at Emma's lodge was an absolute delight! We were looking for a remote getaway with a hot tub, and this ticked the boxes perfectly. The peaceful, relaxing atmosphere made it the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Nestled on a charming farm, the lodge offered stunning views and a real sense of calm. One of the unexpected highlights? The friendly cows who wandered over to say hello around 11pm, it was such a sweet and memorable moment! Emma was a wonderful host, and everything about the stay felt warm and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in a tranquil, rural setting.

Just returned home from a lovely night away with my two sons age 8 and 15. With the age gap between my boys i find it hard to find things we can all enjoy, most of the time my eldest doesn't want to participate in anything other than going out with his friends and his computer. The Lodge was the perfect place for us all to spend time together, with the hot tub and hammock being the favourite part for both boys. We toasted marshmallows in the fire pit as the sun went down which we all had fun doing. We all had a lovely night away from everything, making memories as a family which is priceless. Thank you to hosts James and Victoria for making our stay so perfect :)

We’ve just returned from Lapwing Lodge. Beautiful location, very peaceful and the facilities were everything we needed. The photos don’t do it justice. The cabin was spotless and the hottub was a great bonus. Arrived to a very easy check in and we were even given until midday to leave on the departure date. Would definitely be interested in returning in the future.

Anne was very welcoming, lovely little hideaway. Enjoyed a night here for our anniversary and everything we needed was there. enjoyed a night in the hot tub. fantastic scenery around. Will definitely be staying again. Thank you for a peaceful, night away from the real world.

if you want the most relaxing private and peaceful stay surrounded by nature and beautiful wildlife then you must book here. we spent our days fishing relaxing in the hot tub napping and watching deer, birds of pray, fox's, rabbits and the goats of course. we cooked outside, the weather was amazing for our four night stay we could of stayed alot longer as everything you need is provided. the bed was supper comfortable aswell as the reclining chairs and the outdoor sofa perfect for napping. we cought lots of carp and found a book on fly fishing in the cabin (im still rubbish at it lol) everything was amazing and we hope to return soon.

What a beautiful lodge, set in a beautiful place! The site was absolutely lovely. Everything you needed the lodge had. The instructions booklet was very helpful as we had 3 children with us and a dog so looking for activities to suit us all. Overall a lovely stay, we will most definitely be returning maybe just the grown ups this time lol for abit more of a relax xx

The lodge was fantastic and the location was very tranquil and peaceful. Our first ever glamping experience and it was amazing, will definitely be going back. The standard and attention to detail was second to none. The welcome pack with the local recommendations was really helpful and the local pub was lovely and only a 20 minute walk away. The fenced off area at the front of the lodge was a really good addition to allow the dog to run free.

Great location and accommodation

What a lovely few days away by the lake in Andy’s lodge. We were visiting my family nearby and decided to stay here so we could bring our dog and make a holiday of it. He loved it, we loved it, and the family we were visiting could come to the lodge to relax with us. Beautiful sunrise, lake view, a dedicated field to let your dog off lead, a lake to get on a kayak or row boat at the end of the garden, 9 hole pitch and putt, tennis courts and dog blankets for the sofa, dog treats, food and water bowls for our dog and you can walk your dog on lead around the lake, The pictures don’t do the size of the lodge justice, really big living area and outside decking area with loads of furniture and a massive bbq we didn’t use this time. We’ll definitely be back! Thanks to Andy and his team for answering our questions so promptly. If you’re thinking about staying here, you’ll love it. My family did!

We had a lovely little stay here. Perfect with two children and a great location to explore everything we wanted to explore in York and surrounding areas. Charlie checked in a few times to see if we had everything we needed, which was very kind. The caravan was lovely and clean and had everything in you could need for a few days away.

We had such a lovely stay! Location was great for short and long walks and we were able to make the most of the spa access on rainy days which made our stay extra special. Ashley kept us updated on things we needed and left us a few treats which was very kind. Thank you - the 4 of us had a great long weekend and would definitely consider staying again 😊

Paul’s place is exactly as he advertises, a fun and comfortable man cave (though women are allowed too!). The pull-out bed was comfortable for my gf and me. The place was clean, the TV was big, the underfloor heating worked, and most importantly for us, we were able to bring our dog with us. Not many other places in Sheffield let you do that, so it was a perfect place for our stay.

We chose to celebrate our first wedding anniversary here this weekend and we're so glad we did! :) The space is so wonderful and peaceful, and perfect for disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We loved using the printed walking route, enjoying the cozy fire, fun games, all the natural light, and especially the very friendly visits from Hamish the cat! Thank you for having us stay x

We had the most magical stay at the Delph Donkey. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed warmly by Nigel, whose hospitality made us feel right at home. The setting is absolutely fascinating - charming, peaceful, and full of character. The carriage itself is stunning: beautifully restored, luxuriously comfortable, and incredibly serene. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, making our stay both relaxing and memorable. We also enjoyed lovely walks in the surrounding area and had a fantastic meal at the nearby Old Bell Inn. We would absolutely recommend the Delph Donkey to anyone looking for a unique and tranquil getaway, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.

We had a lovely restful stay at the Eco Lodge. Very quiet and peaceful, with great views and lots of places to sit and relax.

We had a great stay at the Bothy, which is perfect for a couple for a weekend away. Beautiful location and very well designed - whilst it’s small, all the space is used really well. The pizza oven is a great touch and the outdoor area is again really well designed - despite the weather being windy and rainy we were able to comfortably sit outside under the pagoda and enjoy our (slightly burnt) pizzas. Friendly hosts who added some great extra touches for birthday celebrations and whose clear instructions made the bothy easy to find. Thank you both, we would love to come back in the future!
