Unser Heim in Colombo! Das Apartment ist sehr sauber und modern. Ein Highlight ist die Dachterrasse. Jo spricht, was in Sri Lanka nicht die Regel ist, ausgezeichnet Englisch. Sie und ihre Familie haben sich sehr um uns und unsere Anliegen gekümmert. Die Aufnahme war sehr familiär und herzlich. Ihr Angebot, dass wir uns bei etwaigen problematischen Situationen während unseres Sri Lanka Aufhalst telefonisch an sie um Hilfe wenden können, ist uns eine sehr gute Beruhigung. Gastfreundschaft wird hier groß geschrieben! Das Haus ist günstig gelegen, Restaurants, Supermarkt und Busstation in Laufnähe. Mit den Bussen ist man direkt sehr schnell in der Innenstadt und am Bahnhof. Wir vergeben vollen Herzens 5 Sterne plus 5 Extrasterne für die Gastfreundchaft.

I was absolutely delighted with my stay at Duminda's place. I had the entire top floor of the building to myself. It is spacious, well-designed, and nicely furnished. Duminda was very helpful by meeting me at the train station with his friend Samantha, who drives a tuktuk. During my time there, I was able to hire Samantha to take me to the Bawa sites that I wanted to see. If that is what you are after, I highly recommend him. I would not hesitate for a moment recommending Duminda's home. I would happily return if I am in the area again.

Fabulous villa for our two families of 4 adults and 4 children (all under 5). The pool was the best we had during our time in Sri Lanka with a guard on duty to clean daily as well as being located in a lush garden where we had water monitors, mongoose and eagles fly above us. Jayantha is a true master in the kitchen. Please order his dinners if you stay as they taste delightful as well as cheaper than out at restaurants. The breakfast was even better with different options each day (egg hoppers, pancakes, omelette plus fresh fruit and toast). If we return we would not hesitate to stay again.

Der Aufenthalt im Yellow House war überragend. Es liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße mitten im Grünen. Und schon 300m runter befindet sich der Strand und die Hauptstraße von wo aus man sämtliche touristischen Ziele erreicht. Aber auch vor Ort gibt es schon reichlich zu entdecken. Z.B. Kajaktouren oder der Fischmarkt und die Anlegestelle der Fischer. Mein persönlicher Lieblingsort war die Terrasse, wo man wunderbar die Seele baumeln lassen und die Vielfalt an exotischen Tieren und Pflanzen im Garten genießen kann. Tipp: pflückt Euch dazu eine frische Sternfrucht vom Baum :) Apropos Essen. Das solltet Ihr auf jeden Fall um die Ecke bei Eurem Host und seiner Familie auf der Dachterrasse einnehmen. Besser bekommt Ihr es nicht. Gerne werden dabei Eure Wünsche berücksichtigt. Und auch sonst wird alles gemacht, um Euren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Einfach fragen. Ich wurde aus Colombo abgeholt und habe jede Menge gezeigt bekommen. Gerne wieder :)

We had a wonderful stay at the Colombo Residence. Ample space, air conditioning in all rooms and common gathering areas, restaurants and grocery options close by, comfortable beds. The highlight for us was the caretaker, Kumara, who lives there with his lovely wife. He was very responsive to our needs, cooked up tasty Sri Lankan breakfasts every morning, and so kind to our children. Would recommend to all.

Mr Samantha was a friendly and a supportive host for us. Also, his place was calm and quite and we had all the households we needed at our stay. I highly recommend his place for anyone who is looking for a peaceful stay.

As always, Kapila and Kumudu’s place was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and even extended for a few nights as it was super convenient! We will be back soon :)

An excellent host who personally met us at the station and a wonderful authentic family home fully prepared for living. It has everything you need for life. The house is closed to the ocean and we had a great rest there

So, you’re obviously looking for accommodation in south-west Sri Lanka – well don’t look any further than Sailor’s Bay. From the minute you enter this paradise, you will be welcomed and charmed by Dilan and his family. The environment is gorgeous – any stress totally disappears. Nothing is too much trouble. They are engaging, and genuinely go out of their way to ensure that every second of your stay is a second to remember. Our family (13 – 3 generations – ages 2 – 74) was continually astounded by their willingness to do the best by us . It was a sad time when we left, but happy in the knowledge that we will return. So, take my word for it – Sailor’s Bay will not disappoint even the most pedantic traveler.

When planning my trip to the South Province of Sri Lanka I was looking for an authentic, calm, modern, clean and one of a kind accommodation. The BoBo's Cinnamon Estate Duwabedda met more then my expectations. I am still dreaming of the soft breeze, the shy smell of cinnamon, the peacocks who visited us before heading to the next lot (this time a rice field), the smooth awakening early in the morning (gentle prayers of the Buddhist monks from far away, early morning songs of the birds...), the lovely Ceylon tea, the host's topless tuk tuk that brought us to the sea side, Galle and other destinations, and so much more... Catrin and Bharatha were caring and loving hosts. They were present yet discreet. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

My stay at Priyanka's place was truly exceptional. The hosts were incredibly friendly, caring, and supportive, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. They went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, offering thoughtful touches and local recommendations that made my experience even more special. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made it the perfect place to relax, and their genuine hospitality truly stood out. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a stay with a personal and caring touch!

While the accommodation itself was perfect, the real selling point for this stay is the hosts. They are the most lovely hosts I’ve ever had, attending to all of our needs and very communicative. Please do yourself a favour and stay here! 10/10

I booked this Airbnb for my sister's trip, and she had a wonderful stay! The communication with Yashodara was excellent from start to finish, making the booking process very easy. My sister found the place to be exactly as described, very clean, and comfortable. She really enjoyed her time there and I'm so glad I chose this spot for her. Highly recommend for a hassle-free and pleasant stay!

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans ce logement. Susil et sa famille sont d’une gentillesse remarquable : accueillants, serviables et toujours prêts à aider. Nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous, intégrés à leur famille dès notre arrivée. Le logement correspond parfaitement à la description et aux photos. Tout est propre, bien équipé, notamment la cuisine qui dispose de tous les ustensiles nécessaires. L’endroit est calme et paisible, idéal pour se reposer, tout en étant très bien situé. Tout est accessible à pied en quelques minutes : supermarché, marché de légumes et de poisson, restaurants, boulangerie… La plage toute proche est magnifique, et non loin se trouve un spot où l’on peut nager avec les poissons et les tortues, dans une eau calme et sans trop de vagues, ce qui est très agréable. La plage des tortues est un peu plus éloignée, mais toujours accessible à pied. Nous sommes reconnaissants pour cet accueil chaleureux et recommandons ce logement à 100 % !

Gayathri and her partner made us feel at home from the moment we entered. We booked the entire unit - the space is beautifully curated and has glorious sunlight, while also being centrally located. Definitely coming back soon!

I was in Colombo for work, followed by a vacation with my family. Romesh's place was perfect for my 2 weeks of work in Colombo. The apartment is centrally located close to several restaurants. Romesh and Janak were very responsive throughout my stay. Check in was very easy and Janak welcomed me and oriented me to the place. The apartment is very well maintained with AC in all the rooms, and a good WIFI connection. The kitchen is well-equipped with a fridge, microwave and all the implements for cooking and eating. The location is secure and I had no concerns about safety or security. Hotel Janki is close to the apartment and I had several meals there and use of the swimming pool for a small fee. When I am in Sri Lanka, I normally stay in my own house, which is currently rented out. Romesh's place was as good as staying at my own house. Thank you.

Wir sind sehr zufrieden gewesen. Super Lage, auch der Pool ist toll gewesen. Inklusive Frühstück in dem Preis ist echt top!

Мы приехали в три часа ночи и нас встретили, как родных. Хозяева очень внимательные и отзывчивые. Если вам хочется, немножко пожить в тропическом лесу, понаблюдать за попугаями, белками, насекомыми, посмотреть на растения, то это отличное место. Веранда расположена, так, что открывается вид на растительность и создаётся ощущения уединённости. Завтраки заслуживают отдельного внимания, о времени можно договариваться заранее, так как нам было удобно. Всегда был вкусный цейлонский чай, фруктовые шейки, а блюда вкусные с местным колоритом, каждый день новые и разнообразные. Теперь о доме и ее хозяйке. интересный дизайн (из-за чего мы его и выбрали) нам трём друзьям было в нем комфортно и уютно. Реальность оказалась лучше картинки в приложении. Хозяйка реагировала на наши просьбы, все наши нужды были удовлетворены. Интика окружила нас заботой и вниманием. Мы готовили ужины сами, либо на гриле во дворе, либо на кухне дома. Вечера проводили на веранде. Убирают дом, по нашему желанию, так же меняют полотенца. Есть стиральная машина, Хозяйка с удовольствием покажет, как пользоваться техникой. И высушит вещи. Что нас очень порадовало, так это пляж. Широкая береговая линия, отличная температура воды и минимум людей. В отличии от другого конца пляжа. Пешком 12 минут, нам очень нравились эти прогулки, есть возможность посмотреть на настоящую жизнь местных жителей. До фруктового рынка 10 минут. До рыбного рынка 15 минут. Мы очень остались довольны и расположением и ценой и конечно качеством. Спасибо большое за гостеприимство!

Beautiful Air BnB with very good facilities, the plunge pool is amazing, you are hidden away and surrounded by greenery. Very nice room with good air conditioning. Shower is nice doesn’t get very hot but is nice enough and looks beautiful. A couple of creepy crawlies but that is to be expected. Breakfast is freshly made and changes each day which is nice. Would 100% recommend and would go back if we were in the areas again as it was one of our favourite stays.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits dans le logement qui est vraiment face à la mer, sur la plage il y a des transat réservés exprès pour nous , très peu de monde sur la plage , c’est vraiment paisible et nous avons le coucher de soleil depuis la chambre ! Hôte investi et très gentil. Petit déjeuner compris , délicieux et très copieux ! Je recommande 100% ce logement , encore merci pour tout

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr toll. Die Unterkunft ist perfekt gelegen, nur wenige Minuten vom schönen Strand entfernt, sodass wir die Natur und das Meer genießen konnten. Chanaka und seine Familie waren sehr herzlich und zuvorkommend, wir haben uns von Anfang an willkommen gefühlt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das köstliche Frühstück, das jeden Morgen mit viel Liebe zubereitet wurde. Wir würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen!

Soorya Kala was our first accommodation in Sri Lanka, and I can only say it was the perfect start to our trip! The place is very modern, beautifully decorated, and absolutely clean. The location is a dream – right on the beach, with restaurants and shops within walking distance, and you can listen to the waves while falling asleep. The breakfast is included and incredibly delicious! But what impressed us the most was the hospitality from Nagulan and the whole team. We felt completely at home and would definitely recommend this place!

Absolutely stunning place to stay. The moment you go out the back of the house you know you are somewhere special. The view is gorgeous and the sunsets amazing. Between the pool, loungers, hammock and beach access we could have happily gone nowhere our whole stay. We stayed 3 nights but would have loved to have stayed longer. The hosts are awesome, very helpful and friendly. Inside the villa it is very simple but all rooms air conditioned with comfortable beds and good bathrooms. The location of this property is beautiful and would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a quiet few days of relaxing.
