From here there are good opportunities for outdoor activities such as swimming or paddling in nearby fjord waters, hiking and cycling. Possibility to rent a SUP, kayak and bicycle. Cosy little holiday home on Spjærøy on Hvaler. Bryggerhuset is part of an old small farm, and the hosts live in the main house. Here you can enjoy quiet and calm days in the garden, or take a walk to the sea. Both Spjærekilen with good swimming opportunities and Kjellvika are within walking distance. Generally good hiking opportunities. Whether you want to enjoy the quiet days or explore Hvaler, this is a great base. Shops about 5 km away. We have 7 happy hens that are partly free-range.

The place is perfectly located between Fredrikstad, Halden, the Swedish coast and Vestfold. You can arrive and have a car parked on the property, but if you have a boat then this is a connecting point for so many amazing excursions. You can easily go to Skjærhalden, Søndre or Nordre, Edholmen, Strømstad, Koster, Engelsviken or into Fredrikstad. A short trip can be to visit the different restaurants Hvaler Islands have to offer and a longer trip can be Grebbestad or Tønsberg and others.

Velkommen til "bua" på Hvalstrand bryggeanlegg! Bua er en trivelig liten hytte beliggende på Hvalers kanskje mest sjarmerende båthavn. Her er det stille og fredelig samtidig som man får en smak av båtlivet. Bua ligger i tilknytning til båtbryggene, så man kan forvente å treffe på folk som ferierer i båtene sine. An excellent starting point for hiking along the Kuststigen and enjoying the sea or a round on Strömstad golf club's nice park course. End the day with a swim in the hot tub jacuzzi under the stars or take the bus in to Strömstad for a good dinner and crowds. Days with bad weather are best spent in front of the fireplace.
