Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Vathianos Kampos

Lovely place to stay and well set up - we had a very comfortable couple of days Fabulous to be welcomed with fresh produce most of which was home grown in the fridge and a bottle of wine as well as oils and vinegar and tea and coffee Would definitely stay there again

This is everything you hope for in an Airbnb. Beautiful, cozy, all the details and above all, hospitality. The house was full of art and personal touches, which we all appreciated. They had thought of everything a guest might need. Alexis brought us delicious food. The yard was private, and I took multiple naps on the patio. My family and I loved this little house. Because we were just a short walk from Knossos Palace, it was easy for us to get there before the crowds. I recommend getting tickets for 8 am to beat the crowds and the heat. Thank you 😊

We had a fantastic family stay at this place. It’s so close to a really nice beach, a bunch of good restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy - basically anything which you would need during your stay. And you can access all of these places without a car! House is very clean, perfectly equipped, cozy and well designed. WiFi is very stable, so you can use it for work if you need to. Maria was always responsive and professional. Highly recommended!

My wife and I toured the Villa in the listing, and it was absolutely gorgeous, but we stayed at the single story Villa below and our review will reflect our experience there. One thing worth noting about the listed Villa is that it is two stories, both beautifully appointed. Our single story Villa, a part of the same complex, was beautiful, peaceful, and restful. The Villa was impeccably clean, the space spacious and airy, completely modern and luxurious but without pretense. I could live there year round and count myself fortunate. The location is fifteen or twenty minutes from a number of popular beaches, yet in the countryside far from the noise, clutter, and confusion of the city. The town has everything you need and nothing you don’t. If anything could be better than the villa it’s the host, Manos. Manos is the most friendly and generous host imaginable; a gentleman and beautiful person in every sense. If I have any regrets about the villa it’s that I didn’t book it for longer.

May 2025, 10 nights stay for three (2 adults, 1 toddler). Villa is really fantastic. Beautiful view of the sea and the bay. It offers plenty of space for more people (2 couples, 4-6 friends, 2 families) and for longer stays (storage space, cupboards and shelves, etc.). The furnishings correspond to the description and offer, even in the kitchen, everything you need. Our highlight was the covered terrace. Our flight was moved up at short notice. A significantly earlier check-in was no problem at all in our case. Stelios is a very friendly, helpful and dedicated host. We recommend him and his villa without reservation. Small limitation: the accommodation is a bit off the beaten track or the region is a bit urbanised (mainly due to the geography of the terrain). Without your own car, it will be a bit difficult in our opinion. However, there is a free parking space directly at the house.

We can only agree with the many positive reviews. We had a great time in the beautiful mountain village – it was a special experience. Every morning we had breakfast on the roof terrace and enjoyed the tranquility. At first we thought the sea would be missing, but that wasn't the case at all. We really came to rest – walks in the area were enough for that. Actually, we planned to do more, but we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere so much that we took it easy. Nevertheless, we were traveling by car and made some nice excursions, including to the coast, where we discovered great restaurants. A vacation that will stay with us in very good memory. The place was spotless, clean, and tidy. Pamela welcomed us for our short stay in Heraklion. We were well settled there, about fifteen minutes by car from the city centre and 10 minutes from the airport, which made it easier to organise the end of our stay.

Katerina is a wonderful host. We had a great stay at her place which was homely. The host is very patient and helpful with all your queries and gives amazing local tips. The house is at a very peaceful location and just 100 mtrs from the beach. It's also about 10 min walk from the bus stop with bus service evry half an hour. It has all the amenities as listed. Certainly recommended if you are looking to relax and recoup.

Place is right next to a pedestrian walk with lots of nightlife. (But far enough away that there are no noise issues.

Amazing accommodation w/ beautiful views of the beach, parking, a full kitchen, comfortable bed. My only wish would be to have had more time to spend at this apartment

Little paradise, cured with love, feels like a home.

Georgios was a fantastic host, very communicative, friendly, and met me at the accommodation late at night to make sure I knew how the Airbnb and building worked. I stayed for just over 2 weeks and the Airbnb was perfect for my stay, washing machine, oven, hob, fridge cooking utensils. It was even supplied with amenities such as laundry pods, oil, salt, pepper, dish washer soap, which meant I didn’t need to go buy lots of things. The area is a 5/10 minute walk to some restaurants and a sandy beach, and within walking distance to the supermarket and other amenities. Overall the Airbnb comfortable, spacious, and I felt very safe in the area and the building.

Giannis is a very invested, responsive and discreet host. We really enjoyed the welcome with a pastry (very good!), the oranges in the fridge as well as the drinks made available. The environment is very pleasant and the location is ideal, quiet but close to the promenade with restaurants. If you have any questions, Giannis has always been available as well as to make recommendations to us. Listing is as described. However, it should not be too big for the night part and the bathroom but otherwise everything was very good!

Marlene was a very friendly and helpful host. In the flat you find everything you need (or not), from kitchen equipment to sewing sets. We enjoyed our stay there very much. Yes, as many rewiews mention the shower/bathroom is very small - but we were not there for a spa experience. And if you have average proportions and know some basic physics you can also easily shower without setting the whole thing unter water - which even isn't such a big problem as there is a drain. But I agree, it might be a plus for people who love to complain about everything ;-) Food in the taverna downstairs also very recommended. And don't miss to visit the whiskey bar right next to it at the seafront run by a very nice Scottish couple.

The place is as described on the site. Clean, cosy, quiet and exactly where you need it to be. 5min walk from the central Heraklion lion fountain. We were very happy with everything!!

We had an amazing time. Manolis is very helpful and friendly. He gave us some great recommendations of beaches to go to and restaurants. The apartment is in a great location. It has everything you need and is really nicely decorated and very clean. If we end up in Agios Nikolaos again we will definitely stay there again

The apartment is very pleasant : clean, modern, spacious and perfectly equipped. The small balcony and roof terrace are a real plus and add to the apartment's charm. Erietta and Manolis provide numerous recommendations for discovering Heraklion and its best addresses, which is particularly appreciated. Very responsive and attentive, they ensure that everything runs smoothly. An excellent experience, which I recommend without hesitation!

Great location in the heart of town. We had an incredible night staying here and being able to explore the local neighbourhood. Lots to do around the unit. We found parking within a block that was free street parking and didn’t mind carrying luggage up the stairs to the unit. The balcony is surprisingly private even though there is a neighbour across the way. Thank you for hosting!! 🌟 🌟
