A walk can be enjoyed from the cottage, along a path along the Vienne River. You can reach Chauvigny on foot or by bike along the trails. There are a few chickens on the grounds. Our holiday gite is located in the beautiful 'Vallée de la Gartempe'. It is in fact the converted donkey stable adjoining our 'Maison de Maitre type of farmhouse. No longer a 'working' farm, nevertheless, part of the attraction is our small menagerie of sheep, donkeys, chickens, ducks, geese, cats and two dogs that will form part of your surroundings when staying here.
