The house is 1 km from Åram ferry quay and 4 km from Hakallegarden, where there is also a great beach. There is also a grocery store a mile away. From Hakallestranda you can go on day trips to the surf paradise Hoddevika, Loen Skylift, Geiranger, Runde and Ålesund. There are both fjords, beach and mountains in the immediate vicinity and many hiking opportunities in the area.
