There are nice hiking areas in the local area; local peaks such as Hest and Himakånå are popular. It is also possible to take a day trip to Preikestolen and Stavanger. The climbing park "Høyt og Lavt" is located 15 min drive from the cabin. In the summer months (May to Sept) it is possible to rent a boat and kayaks. Animals are not allowed in the cabin. Skjoldastraumen is an idyllic and quiet place with the possibility of several activities and excursions. The place is probably best known for its saltwater locks that opened in 1908. The saltwater locks are the only ones in Norway that are still in use. The sandy beach at Notaflåt is centrally located and provides bathing opportunities on a nice summer day. Straumen school is also nearby. Here the kids can play and play football. If you drive to Nedstrand, you will find the well-known Himakånå. "Straumen er Draumen"

We have Standup paddleboards (SUP) that can be borrowed free of charge. Private outdoor area with dining area, barbecue, hammock and wood-fired fire pan. The cabin has an outdoor shower, kitchen, toilet and double bed. It is close to public transport and shops

Cozy cottage "Treet" with lovely views

Nedstrand. The cabin is located next to the path to Himakånå, and has great hiking opportunities. The property is fenced, which makes the place safe for children. The living room window has a great lake view. Bedroom 1 has 2 single beds. Bedroom 2 has 3 beds: 1 bunk bed and 1 cot with a length of 150 cm. Please be aware of grazing animals outside the property. Free parking is about 150m from the cabin, to get up you have to walk a steep climb. A suitcase is not recommended as there is a gravel road.

The apartment is 112 m2 with 3 bedrooms and is fully furnished. Living room and kitchen in one. The apartment is facing south, and has good sun conditions from early morning to late evening! You have a great view of both the lake and Himakånå. You will find many good hiking opportunities both to the mountains and forests, Himakånå is one of the most attractive hiking destinations. The climbing park "Høyt og Lavt", shop, joint transport, fishing and swimming opportunities are also nearby.
