Charming house by the lake, Bakkevig Gard Nedstrand

The house is west facing with a view of the lake and only a few meters down to the lake shore. Below the house is a nice, spacious garden and on the upper side lawn up to the road. The house was built around 1970, and has a slightly retro style. The kitchen was renovated in 2024 and there is a new floor in the kitchen/living room and new windows facing south. New roof is under planning. It is possible to rent a boat and kayaks for trips on the fjord in the local area. Otherwise, there are many nice hiking opportunities on foot both in the local area and the district otherwise.

Skjoldastraumen is an idyllic and quiet place with the possibility of several activities and excursions. The place is probably best known for its saltwater locks that opened in 1908. The saltwater locks are the only ones in Norway that are still in use. The sandy beach at Notaflåt is centrally located and provides bathing opportunities on a nice summer day. Straumen school is also nearby. Here the kids can play and play football. If you drive to Nedstrand, you will find the well-known Himakånå. "Straumen er Draumen"

It is close to beautiful beaches, family-friendly activities such as swimming, beach volleyball, fishing and not least fantastic hiking opportunities in the fields and mountains directly from the cabin. We have Standup paddleboards (SUP) that can be borrowed free of charge. Private outdoor area with dining area, barbecue, hammock and wood-fired fire pan. The cabin has an outdoor shower, kitchen, toilet and double bed. It is close to public transport and shops

Cozy cottage "Treet" with lovely views

Nedstrand. The cabin is located next to the path to Himakånå, and has great hiking opportunities. The property is fenced, which makes the place safe for children. The living room window has a great lake view. Bedroom 1 has 2 single beds. Bedroom 2 has 3 beds: 1 bunk bed and 1 cot with a length of 150 cm. Please be aware of grazing animals outside the property. Free parking is about 150m from the cabin, to get up you have to walk a steep climb. A suitcase is not recommended as there is a gravel road.

The apartment is 112 m2 with 3 bedrooms and is fully furnished. Living room and kitchen in one. The apartment is facing south, and has good sun conditions from early morning to late evening! You have a great view of both the lake and Himakånå. You will find many good hiking opportunities both to the mountains and forests, Himakånå is one of the most attractive hiking destinations. The climbing park "Høyt og Lavt", shop, joint transport, fishing and swimming opportunities are also nearby.

Relax with family/friends in idyllic surroundings Overlooking a small pond, sheep in the fields and beautiful birdsong, this is a place where you will find peace and quiet. There is plenty of space for play, bonfire and barbecue. There are good sun spots around the entire cabin. 15-30 min by car to all attractions on Haugaland. For grocery shopping, the convenience store in Slåttevik is recommended, which is only 4 minutes away by car.

The cabin is located in a sunny location, approx. 45 minutes drive from Haugesund. It is walking distance down to the lake with its own jetty and boathouse. Boat with engine can be rented for an additional fee. Many opportunities for trips nearby.
