Holiday rentals with lake access in Tysvær

The place is absolutely idyllic. If you want to feel like living in a botanical garden and fruit garden with own lake and boat, with unbelievable view, this is your place. Two more features that are very precious nowadays - silence and darkness. You can observe Milky Way and millions of stars from terrace. And all this in absolute silence, similar to what I experienced last time in my grandma’s timber cabin 40 years ago.

We had a great time, the house is spacy and cosy, excellent view and very tidy. Worth mentioning, the hike up the hill, a very nice scenery and inspired pieces of craft and resting benches on the way to the top. The view from the plateau is iconic, an untouched preserved area all around the neighbouring fiords.

Wonderful location, breath taking view on the fjord and surrounding hills. Host are friendly and helpful and close by if you need them yet everyone enjoys their privacy. Nice, modern spacious home. Well equipped kitchen, small amenities provided. We got some help on finding hiking trails could rent the hosts boat. Excellent wifi to work remotely. Could not have asked for anything more. Excellent

Perfect place close to the speedboat. Possibility to rent a boat. 4 double rooms on the 2nd floor. One in the basement with a private bathroom. Gold clean. Well-equipped. Service-minded hosting.

The house is really cozy and had everything we needed. Location is great to explore Karmøy. It was very easy to communicate with Anita.

We loved our stay, which was very peaceful, in what is a beautiful, tucked-away part of Norway. We swam in the water, visited the monastary and went for walks, all from the house, which was very clean and homely. Anders sold us some meat from his farm and the tomahawk steak in particular was amazing. Would love to come again someday. Very special and unique place that will stay in my memory for a long time. Thank you!

We had a very peaceful and enjoyable stay at this Airbnb in Strand. The apartment is conveniently located just 10 minutes from the start of the Pulpit Rock hike, which was the highlight of our trip. The space was clean, well-equipped with all the essentials, and felt comfortable and cozy throughout our stay. We especially loved the patio – a perfect spot to relax and unwind when the weather is nice. Overall, a great experience and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Very central place, nice rooms, nice bathroom, practical kitchen. Clean place and quiet area. Short walk to the grocery store. Can really recommend the place. Anne and Ole are fantastic hosts. Our flight was late by a few hours and they were waiting for us when we arrived. They live on the property but the AB&B is totally private apartment on the ground floor. Anne explained everything, along with a list of interesting places around the area. The property is located in Randaberg 15 mins from Stavanger , 30 mins from SOLA Airport and 50 mins or so from the pulpit rock. A very quiet place. The view of the ocean is as shown, and it is a full view from the day room and the bedroom. The apartment had all the amenities and was super clean and tidy. The yard facing the sea had a nice bench and table, and was well kept. Parking was on site and a grocery store was located a few minutes drive. and just as we were about to leave the Cruise ship sailed by with all its lights lit in the early hours of the morning. It is perhaps the best property in the area and Anne and Ole make it better. Definitely recommended.

Our visit in August 2024 is an absolute holiday highlight. Birger's cottage by the lake is definitely one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited. We had fantastic days, kayaking, sunbathing and fishing. All in heavenly peace and quiet, yet only 15 minutes from Haugesund. The cottage itself is very well maintained and lovingly furnished; everything you need is there. Birger was always available and was always helpful with advice. Definitely recommended!

The house is even more beautiful and larger than you could see in the pictures. We did not use the boathouse, but it offers a good opportunity to spend time on the water in any weather. The hosts are very nice, we were greeted directly and shown the accommodation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lise’s place exceeded our expectations. In the listing she notes that the upstairs is not yet fully renovated. That is true but it is mostly minor cosmetic things. The bed was very comfortable. We slept great. Everything but the beds is downstairs on the ground floor. The downstairs which has mostly been renovated is spacious and very comfortable. Having the ability to store our bike in the garage was a nice plus. The area around the house is breathtakingly beautiful. Don’t miss the walk to and through The Fairytale Forest (Eventyrskogen) - a truly unique Norwegian experience.

beautiful views, nice shower, lots of space, furniture a bit old but comfortable. Good mattress. Nice TV. Cottage is located in a beautiful location with a different view with boats, fishermen every hour. In the village within walking distance a large supermarket, pizza restaurant, second hand shop. Would like to come back.

The stay at John's house was great. I was there with my family and we enjoyed the big house in nature. John and his wife are very friendly and kind. They even brought us fresh fruits from their garden. :)
