Kihachikan South Nozawa Onsen

Kihachikan South is a luxurious and homely family chalet. It has three bedrooms; one double, one twin and one smaller single room. The light filled, open plan kitchen and living room features a locally made oak kitchen that includes a Miele oven and induction hob and Miele dishwasher. The kitchen is fully supplied with all the main amenities including; a rice cooker, toaster, microwave, coffee machine and full cooking utensils should they be required. The comfy sofa seating area focusses around a cast iron pellet stove and the latest Bang & Olufsen television and sound system including live feed from the ski hills and Netflix. The daily readings from the traditional barograph will keep you ahead of the weather apps …….. possibly! The bedrooms maintain a traditional feel with shoji windows, wooden beams and authentic wall coverings with the addition of discreet blinds, wooden flooring and western style beds. The bedroom wardrobes in Japanese oak were made to order in Nagano. The bathrooms include walk in showers with locally made hinoki shower benches. The upstairs bathroom with both slate and wooden flooring also contains a separate seating area and large bath tub. The upstairs bathroom enjoys great views over to Togari and Mount Myoko. Dyson hair dryers are supplied in the two main bedrooms. The artwork throughout the Kihachikan South is a mixture of original Japanese woodblock prints and an extensive collection of original 16th & 17th century antique maps of Asia. Kihachikan South has a Miele washing machine and separate Miele clothes dryer.The ski, board and boot room is downstairs and shared with Kihachikan North and contains snow shoes for guest use (when available).

Current Resort West, which opened in the winter of 2025, is a luxury condo with plenty of wood warmth.It is a 3-minute drive from Shiozawa Ishibuchi Interchange, and a 4-minute drive from Ishibuchi Maruyama Ski Resort and Maiko Snow Resort! The entire building is composed of two buildings, and this West building is the perfect specification for traveling with families and pets.It can accommodate up to 10 people by booking the East building at the same time, and you can easily access all tourist facilities and ski resorts from the national road in front of the accommodation.The room is fully equipped with a system kitchen with a state-of-the-art IH stove and dishwasher, a full bathroom, a heated washroom, a sink, and a washing machine.It is also fully air-conditioned so you can stay cool in summer and warm in winter. The living room has a healing wood stove in the cold winter, and an elevator for people with disabilities.The bedding is equipped with Simmons beds, ensuring a good quality sleep to heal your tired body with sightseeing and play.In the bathroom, Refa shower head, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are also used in the Refa hair dryer.

This is a house with a superb view overlooking Lake Nojiri. There are several ski slopes (Myoko, Kurohime, and Masao), about 15-20 minutes away, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy a wood-burning sauna and a stunning water bath. There are no private houses around, so you can also watch music and movies with loud noise. Because it is a house nestled deep in the mountains, we do our best, but there are insects during the warmer months.It snows a lot in winter.In autumn, the leaves are dancing. You must also adjust the fire in the wood stove yourself. It's never an easy home to live in, but with a great view and experience. There is a full counter kitchen with stunning views and condiments and cookers so you can enjoy cooking.(No BBQ equipment)

After sourcing locally fresh ingredients, travel to the Rock Forest, and take your car to the parking lot and take the ingredients to the fireplace space. You won't see anyone else either. It is a 60-minute bullet train ride from Tokyo to Karuizawa, and a 30-minute drive from Karuizawa Station, so you can work in the morning and leave half an afternoon. Please spend a relaxing and extraordinary time surrounded by the great outdoors. < Winter season November-March > During the winter season, the outside hot spring is closed.
