1 minute walk from Tokamachi Station. It is a small two-story house. Because it is in the city, there are many delicious shops nearby. Upon request, breakfast and dinner will be served at the adjacent cafe. Breakfast is 800 yen per person and dinner starts from 1200 yen. There are Japanese-style rooms, Western-style rooms and dining rooms for couples, families and groups. Of course there is a kitchen so you can prepare your own meals. It is safe to rent one building. There is only a shower, but there is a hot spring nearby. (7 minutes on foot)
“I had a very nice & relaxing stay at Sakura House. The place is clean, spacious and very close to the train station. The kotatsu was my favourite place as it made the experience even more pleasant. The host was very kind and prompt when it comes to exchanging messages.”

“Yoshiko is indeed a super-host. She is very welcoming and interested in making one's stay in Tokamachi an unforgettable one. She picked me up at the train station and we first went to the tourist information desk to get some pamphlets on the various art locations, as this was my main reason for visiting the area. Yoshiko gave me some wonderful tips on what might be especially neat places to visit (in but also outside of Tokamachi). The rooms (bedroom, dining room, lavatory, etc.) were all very clean. One highlight of the day was always the delicious breakfast, which was all vegetarian in my case. Beautiful rice fields are right across the street; a nice view I enjoyed much. I first wasn't sure, though, if I would be able to sleep with all the frogs starting to make noise in the evening. But I ended up sleeping very well (also because the bed was very comfortable). I also very much enjoyed the brief chats in the morning and the evening with Yoshiko and her two daughters. I think the Tokamachi area is worthwhile visiting again, and I would definitely choose to stay at Yoshiko's place again.”
My friends call my house Ninja Yashiki (house )but old farmer’s house. 140years old in part. Top of the mountain there is a small village. Clean air and stars in the sky. 5 m of snow in winter, flowers bloom at the same time in spring. Just 10minutes from Shinkansen station Urasa, 20minutes from JR station Tokamachi.(pickup service is available) 1.5hours from Tokyo station.
“The best airbnb experience so far! Although the house is a little far from the transportation center, the landlord can provide pick-up service, free breakfast service and kimono try-on service! When the old grandfather was young, he was a painter who used to teach thousands of nights. The grandmother of the university would travel with him in four languages to communicate in four languages! The home is full of collectibles from all over the world. In short, it is worthwhile to visit someone who wants to experience Japanese life in depth, and you will definitely get unexpected gains.”
