FredrikLars farm at Nordmarksbergs Mansion

FredrikLars-gården adjacent to Nordmarksbergs Herrgård: 19th century or older. In this farm, the great inventor John Ericsson's grandfather Nils (b. 1747 – 1790) has lived. On a rock in the grounds of the farm, there should be a curtain with the name of Nils. Picture of this stone can be found in Värmlandsarkiv's photo archive on a picture from 1955 (photo Lennart Thelander, pictures SEVA_11229_36 and SEVA_11230-1), but has not been found in the present day. It's probably hidden by mortar that's been covered over the rocks.

A quarter of an hour from Karlstad is our guest house overlooking sheep pastures and Lake Alstern. With socializing in front of the fireplace or on the terrace in the evening sun, the holiday gets a lovely golden edge. It is a perfect starting point for those who like to be out in nature or want to visit Karlstad. We have many great tips to share for those who wish. In the nearby lake Gapern, we have a sauna raft that can be rented at the same time upon request.

Summer accommodation on a farm with 100 meters to swimming and boat.

Apartment on two floors in a rural setting. It is 100 meters to the beach with a swimming area and rowboat. Life jacket and fishing rod are available. The outdoor toilet is shared with other guests. NOTE! No bathroom but close to the beach. The kitchen is fully equipped. Cold water in the tap. Blankets and pillows are available. Bed linens and towels can be rented for SEK 75/bed. The double bed is 140 cm wide, the other beds between 90-120 cm wide.

Cabin comfort in Värmland

20 min from Karlstad (The sun always shines in Karlstad!) 2 min walk to the bus stop and 10 min walk to the indoor swimming pool. Klarälven river flows right past the cabin. Klarelvsbanan (220 km long bicycle route) runs right by. Pizzeria and pub 5 min walk towards the city center. Quiet and peaceful surroundings. In summer you have popular bathing water 3 min drive from the cabin, golf course, spa at Dømle manor. Winter closed October to April.

It’s a magical way to experience Sweden’s wild, romantic charm.

Cozy Apartment on Easy Street, Karlstad

The apartment is located in Lorensberg, a calm and friendly neighbourhood with walking distance to both the city centre and campus, and is perfect for the busy tourist as well as a new student at the booming Karlstad University. The house used to be home to multiple families, and so the apartment comes fully equiped with a kitchen as well as a private bathroom and is closed off from the rest of the house with it’s own entrance. No smoking.

The Sculptured House is built with natural, recycled and local materials, in harmony with its surrounding nature. This calm retreat offers an inspirational experience for those who look for a stress-free environment. It has a cozy sleeping loft with nice views and you have your own dry toilet. Stay in our beautiful stuga (2022) with a traditional look and modern interior. Enjoy the unique sound of cranes, and spot a deer or moose in the backyard during Summer. Take a walk along the stream, and discover the different colours of trees in the Autumn. Explore the white world and the frozen lake in the Winter. And experience the awakening of nature during Spring. The stuga is suitable for max. 2 persons.

A sacred space used for yoga classes and gong/crystal bowl baths. There is a cozy wood stove and sleeping loft for two people. It also has a veranda for coffee under the trees. It is a short two minute walk to the lake and the center of Molkom Village. It is also close to the Angsbacka Festival and Course Center with all its events.
