Holiday rentals with breakfast in Te Waipounamu / South Island

This was my second time at the cabin, just as peaceful as the first! Gorgeous spot in Banks Peninsula, great access to two amazing tracks (on the same road as the cabin!). This time I did monument track south, over to Rod Donald hut - 5 hour round trip, absolute perfection! Thank you for the breakfast provisions, perfect hiking preparation!

Vicki and Dan are superb hosts. They are so proactive and helpful. They showed how much they cared about us having a great stay by their excellent communication. This home is decorated so well, and each detail is stunning. They have built much of the decor and it is so beautiful. They had the fire lit for us when we got there, which was such a great touch. The house was well stocked, and well maintained. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The bedrooms were very comfortable and very nice. The hot tub was enjoyable, and the neighborhood was peaceful. We truly appreciated our stay. Thanks for sharing your home with us and for sharing your beautiful corner of the world!

The cottage was so delightful and was sunny and warm. You can see it was decorated with love! A bowl of fruit greeted me on the kitchen table and the kitchen had everything one would require. Cereals, tea, coffee and plunger coffee! and Milo. Milk in the fridge. Sugar cubes and raw sugar along with oils for cooking. And everything that was stated on the Airbnb site. It was across the road from the amazing Pākawau Beach. I lay on the deck at night and spent ages looking at the amazing night sky from this Dark Sky property. A great area for biking with so many walks and areas to explore. The hosts Jean And Bruce were just lovely. I live only a couple of hours away in another lovely spot but I won’t hesitate to book myself in for a few days for rest and relaxation and maybe share it with friends, if they are lucky! One of the loveliest stays I’ve had and felt privileged to stay on a dairy farm where four generations have grown up. Wonderful!

We enjoyed staying in William's house. It was spacious, comfortable and had a great view over Lyttelton Harbour It was well located for walks and shops/ cafes

Beautiful remote spot but also close enough to drive to Havelock if required. Unfortunately it rained most of our stay but our little one still enjoyed stomping in the rain and looking at the animals. Close to nice walking tracks.

We loved Doris and James AND their place . Such beautiful people ! We feel blessed to have met them ! Their place is wonderfully comfortable with extras like the tea and freshly baked bread and home made jams to top off this magical place . The views are spectacular and it’s in an area that’s peaceful and calm away from the bustle of Queenstown. Highly recommend . 💕

Drew and Sally were the sweetest! They made the effort to meet us when we arrived, showed us around and explained how certain items worked. Their pantry was full and they provided us milk, a loaf of bread, and farm fresh eggs which we enjoyed a lot! There were two rooms: the first was with one big bed suitable for a couple, and the second room was huge and housed 4 beds comfortably. We really enjoyed our stay and Koa, the friendliest dog was a bonus! Before we left, we requested for a short tour around the farm and understood the sustainable practices that the family is so passionate about. We cannot thank you enough, Drew and Sally, we hope to be back someday!

Julianne’s home was perfect for our stay. Situated in a superb location to enjoy all that is special about Wanaka. Fabulous views over Lake Wanaka and the mountains. Magical sunsets. Beautiful surrounds all walkable. Peaceful neighbourhood. A very spacious and comfortable home with everything we needed and more. Thank you Julianne for being a superhost. Very easy to communicate with and clear instructions before arrival much appreciated.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The views are absolutely amazing. The accommodation was spotless and had everything you could possibly need. Everything was to high standard and attention to detail was great. The studio is very private. Karen and John went out of their way to make us feel welcome and were very helpful.

Perfect place to stay in Christchurch CBD. Great location, being in the city but still feels private as the unit is away from the road. Very clean and tidy, and had everything you’d need. Such a lovely spot and this will be our first pick when visiting Christchurch again.

If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet and comfortable place to stay - Neville's place is perfect. Neville and Debby are lovely hosts and can provide good local information (an informative folder is provided in the unit) or can give you space to just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of their Tata beach piece of paradise. The unit is sunny and very spacious, the bed is really comfortable, kitchen well stocked with everything needed for cooking and their heating is great for cold nights. Neville's coffee was amazing and Debby's breakfast foods and ginger slice were delicious. Thank you Neville and Debby for a lovely, relaxing weekend.

We had a fantastic 3 nights enjoying the views and character of Julie's place, very friendly with lots of locals tips and would definitely like to revisit with the family !

We enjoyed meeting Wayne, and staying at his place. Wayne is very friendly, and shared with us a bit of history and local-knowledge, you can tell he's proud of being from Greymouth. He stays close-by and is easy to contact. The place is very easy to access from the train station/car-hire, just around the corner and up the road really, and an easy stroll into the rest of town. The room itself is awesome - plenty spacious, up-to-date, very clean, and well-equipped especially the kitchen. We'd definitely stay with Wayne & Lynette if we find ourselves in Greymouth again!

This was the perfect spot! We had more space than we could have possibly used. The washer and dryer were essential! Location as perfect: all restaurants museums, and bars were within walking distance. We used Dunedin to explore the Otago peninsula and go on our penguin tour. It was truly a great location!

This view was the best thing to wake up to in the morning - it looks just like the photos There was blankets and heaters which made it very comfortable in the cold weather We walked to get coffee in the morning and it was very quick Would definitely stay here again

If you're lucky enough to find availability with Beryle, book it immediately. She’s not just a host — she’s one of the kindest, most extraordinary people we’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, she welcomed us like family. We even (seriously) asked if she’d adopt us — and we’re 29 and 30! She’s the ultimate Kiwi mum: warm, thoughtful, and endlessly generous. She made my partner’s birthday so special with heartfelt touches we’ll never forget. Beryle went above and beyond in every single way. She was incredibly helpful in reviewing our itinerary and used her local knowledge to help us adjust our plans when the weather changed. Her advice was thoughtful, practical, and spot-on. I would use my last dying breath to recommend you stay with Beryle. This was more than a place to sleep — it was a highlight of our trip, thanks to one remarkable woman. The bed was amazing and the bathroom great! We arrived as guests, left as family. I wish I could say more, but I only have 999 characters!

We loved staying with Helen at the Bealey eco lodge. The setting is breathtaking and Helen’s cosy lodge was the perfect place to explore the area from. Helen is a super friendly host with a remarkable knowledge of the region. We’d recommend this stay for anyone traveling through the area looking for an off-grid experience

We had a lovely stay at Amanda’s place! It was super comfortable, cosy, warm and just what we needed for the night. She was so friendly, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She also left us some bits for breakfast too which was very kind. The electric blankets on the mattress were a great bonus!! Would highly recommend Amanda’s property and would definitely stay again :)

A wee cosy corner of paradise under the awe inspiring Southern Alps. A joy for nature lovers, with plenty of beautiful birds flying around the hut, and our new best friend Patch the dog. Hut was perfect for a couple, bed was lovely and warm despite it being a cold night. We slept like logs. Kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to make dinner. Shower was hot with great pressure. Hut is in the perfect location for Fox Glacier and Lake Matheson. Thank you to our lovely hosts. Would definitely recommend to all.

Our stay at view with a room was stellar! Shirley is an extremely thoughtful host. She has everything you could possibly think to need with some very thoughtful touches such as freshly laid eggs that were left for us. The accommodation was impeccably clean and so well thought out. Modern bathroom, nice lighting. Beautiful views in a peaceful and serene setting. We walked at low tide to see the starfish, what a fun adventure! Shirley has a tide chart printed so you can time it just right. We loved our time at view with a room and highly highly recommend staying here. Thank you again Shirley!

My wife and I had the most amazing time staying at Pete & Janine's place! The room was fabulous and styled with taste! The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was cozy and warm with its log fire!! Pete & Janine were fantastic hosts and treated us as though we were family. They cooked a great dinner both nights as the pub down the road was closed! We absolutely recommend this place at the highest level! We loved our stay and will look to return again soon!!

Our stay here was nothing short of perfect. The location is great if you want a little more privacy and peace, but not too far that you feel cut off from the busier towns. The home was clean and inviting, the breakfast foods provided were a lovely touch and getting to see the animals was also great. Nicola was an incredible host, even offering to help us get items back that we foolishly left behind! My partner and I would highly recommend staying here and if we are ever back in this part of the world, we wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Not a bad word to say. Just wonderful.
