The place was better than the pictures. The view was unbelievable. Way better than pictures. I dare you not to look at the view. Space was great. Living room a little small for 4 people but we really didnt care ! We would stay again in a heartbeat. Hosts were awesome and the easiest check out ever.

We really enjoyed our time here as it’s close to everything in a quiet neighborhood that offered great views! We loved seeing and reading all the Alaskan books provided. It was a perfect space to spend time with family while not enjoying the outdoors.

We loved our stay at the Shabbin Playhouse. It is tiny, but two people can occupy it easily. If the weather had been better, we would have spent more time outside, which would add some usable space. There is no couch or armchair inside, but there are outside, if it's warm enough. The bed is very comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped. There is a curtain to cover the toilet area for privacy. The shower is very small but works great. The surrounding woods are beautiful. Make sure you pay a visit to the lovely creek. The town is about 15 minutes away, but it's a nice drive. It's a very quiet location. I found the lodging options in Valdez to be somewhat limited, so this is a great choice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying with Magadelana. Our tiny home was quirky and charming, immaculately clean, extremely comfortable, and beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything we needed, including quality kitchenware and a variety of condiments. We were welcomed with a personal note from Magdalena and a beautiful locally made slice/scone for afternoon tea. Magdalena is very welcoming and friendly and is able to provide lots of recommendations and advice on what to see and do in Valdez. There are also push bikes and kayaks available to hire. The accommodation is located a little outside of town which makes it quiet and peaceful but it is still only a 5-10 min drive to lots of restaurants, shops and the waterfront.
