Sunnmørsalpene is known for its fantastic hiking area in summer and winter.

That's exactly what you can experience in Jølet, the cabin that is specially designed to give an optimal feeling of closeness to nature. On the edge of a "jøl" (a type of riverbank), created by the river's thousand-year effort to reach the fjord, the cabin partially floats in the terrain. Situated completely by itself without close neighbors, but overlooking the cultural landscape and village, this is a perfect place for both relaxation and activity.

Welcome to Brunstad, in the middle of the Sunnmørsalps! The apartment is an excellent starting point for mountain trips both on foot in summer/autumn and on skis in winter/spring. It is also a short distance to Ålesund (about 1 hour by car) and famous areas such as Geiranger, Hellesylt, Norangsdalen, Valldal and Trollstigen. In winter, two different ski resorts are only 15 minutes away from the apartment; “Sunnmørsalpane Skiarena Fjellsætra” and “Strandafjellet Skisenter”.

Geiranger Fjord is on UNESCO´s World Heritage List, and has a stunning nature worth visiting.

Sit back and relax in this quiet, elegant place. Digernes is also just 1 minute away by car. Here you have access to several shops, a bakery, Burger King, etc. If you like fishing or taking a refreshing swim, the sea is also right below, only 50 metres away. We also have a canoe, which our guests can borrow! Space for 2 people (possibly 3). Life jackets are included. We also have a small barbecue area outside with access to a fire pit. The cabin is situated right next to some of the most beautiful fjords in Norway. in the summer you can experience whales swimming by, different birds and other animals. in the winter you can wake up and drive 30 minutes and go skiing in the mountains. You can also se beautiful northern lights (aurora borealis) here.
