Of course, it is possible to combine fresh and comfortable accommodation with rural idyll, close to meadows, forest and lake! In 2022, we started an exciting project to convert the barn on my grandfather's family farm into a luxurious holiday home. In May 2023, we finished one apartment and in the fall, the other. The possibilities are many: enjoy the tranquility of forest walks, by the lake or on the balcony in the evening sun and combine with excursions in the surrounding area and southern Sweden. Charging the car is included in the price.

The house is completely undisturbed in the woods on a small headland by the lake Juven with 270° views of the water, private lake terrace, bathing jetty, boat and panoramic sauna. The decor is modern and Scandinavian with new amenities, large sunny terraces. Good opportunities for fishing, bathing, canoeing/kayaking and skiing (cross country + Alpin) Only 7 km to Åseda with good shops and public transportation.

In the middle of "Astrid Lindgren's World" and "High Chaparral" is this house in a small community.(About 100 km to both) There is a shop and a well-visited German restaurant, "Lieblingsplatz". Nice hiking areas and lakes. Boat and fishing license can be arranged for an extra cost. Winter time: slalom slope with a lift in Sävsjö. (25 km) There is a high chair, children. Sheets and towels are available to rent.

Newly-renovated cottage with sauna by the lake

Newly renovated cottage of 80 square meters that has recently undergone a total renovation. It accommodates up to 7 people, with beds in 3 bedrooms + a sofa bed with two beds. The cottage is located by a lake with a private jetty and wood-fired sauna (wood included) as well as a barbecue area to enjoy outdoor meals. The cottage has a patio on the front, a large balcony and a terrace where you can socialize, eat and sunbathe. Located about 15 minutes from Isaberg Mountain Resort.

With nature around the corner, you can relax in this peaceful accommodation and cool off in the summer heat in nearby ponds with a jetty and sauna about 100 meters from the accommodation. The cottage is completely renovated with a fireplace on the lower floor, there is a dining table, kitchen, toilet and a sofa bed as well as an exit to a large outdoor patio. Spiral staircase to get to the upper floor where there are 4 beds, wardrobes and a small desk and a couple of armchairs.

Relax in this unique, luxurious and peaceful accommodation. With us at Vikahöjdens lodge you have nature reserves and long walking trails around the corner. With 3 lakes in the vicinity you are close to a swim and maybe a fishing trip. It is built with care and to create a lovely atmosphere and was completed in June 2025. Stay in the countryside in Astrid Lindgren's Vimmerby. The Skuru farm is close to Katth Katthult and here you rent your own house on the farm. 25-minute drive to Astrid Lindgren's World Perfect for guests looking for a peaceful and pleasant holiday in the countryside. In 2020, we renovated the kitchen, entrance hall and laundry room and also built a brand new bathroom on the ground floor. There is proximity to the lake with boat and swimming. Warm welcome!

Lugnt läge med den vilda naturen runt omkring er. 150 meter bakom stugan finns grillplats och vacker vy över sjön Sommen. Fina skogsområden med promenadstråk och vandringsleder för svamp- och bärplockning. Stor chans att få se mycket vilt som rådjur, älg, räv och även Havsörn. 500 meter promenadstig till ångbåtshamn, badplats och fiske.
