Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Sunset District, San Francisco

Just as advertised. I come to San Francisco often and usually stay in this area, so it was a perfect location for me. It was a 10 minute walk from my son’s home. Right across the street from Golden Gate Park which I love to walk. All Emily described is completely accurate, transportation, museums , restaurants, etc. Quiet and safe neighborhood. If available I would definitely stay here again.

The place was very clean and neat. Kitchen was amazing! It had everything. My husband loved it! The living room was very comfy but Watching tv in the living room was difficult. The traffic was so noisy! The bed was very comfy and it was quieter than the living room. The bed had drawers built into the frame but we didn’t find them until mid week, so we kept our clothes in the suitcase. Bathroom was neat and clean. We did go and buy wash cloths (not provided) and a plunger in case we needed it. Much too busy of a street and difficult to find parking. The Muni and the buses were close so we used them instead of giving up our parking space. Sonja was quick to respond and make suggestions though. She even purchased a non slip bath mat for us. The tub is a little tall for seniors to get in and out of.

Pauline was a great, communicative host and the location was perfect for us! Felt very safe and loved being close to the park and the ocean. The space was clean, private and just as advertised! Would stay here again

Lovely clean home for a stay in San Francisco, great location and great host. Parking can be a little bit of a struggle, but never not managed to get a spot not too far from the room. Highly recommend!

Christina's place is in a great neighborhood that was easy for walking and it felt very safe and peaceful. The house was clean and well appointed and it had such a cute backyard and living room sitting area. The kitchen seems updated too. She is very responsive - we accidentally locked ourselves out on Saturday morning and she responded immediately and had a neighbor come over with a key. We think this is a great house with a great host. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed Heather’s bnb so very much, we plan on staying there every time we come to the Bay Area. Clean, quiet, comfortable bed, well provisioned kitchen, lovely and lush green patio. It may be that we stayed on a special holiday, Thanksgiving, but Heather made us a plate of fantastic chocolate chip cookies! Who could ask for more? Thank you, we loved it!

Fabulous stay all around! The nearby Judah line makes commuting to most areas of the city easy - and being in the sunset provides a quiet stay away from the hustle and bustle of other neighborhoods (but still close enough to reach). Clean, great communication, and an all around comfortable stay. Would stay again when visiting the city

X is a very warm and friendly person. He quickly replied on messages and everything was given as described. The checkin was flexible and the accomodation was clean. Highly recommended! See you next time :-)

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb in San Francisco. We arrived quite late at night (around 11 pm) after a long journey from Australia, and the host had kindly left out snacks and milk for us, a thoughtful gesture that made all the difference, especially with our baby who was struggling with jet lag. The home was peaceful and quiet throughout our stay. Despite some reviews mentioning noise from upstairs, we didn’t hear a thing, even with the host’s child living above. Overall, it was a comfortable, welcoming place to land after a long flight, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. We’d love to return in the future!

Barbara was one of the best hosts, if not the best, that I have encountered over my many years of travel. She was responsive to messages and was just so polite and friendly with recommendations and tips for navigating San Francisco. The little touches of snacks and special drinks were really appreciated. The room decorations with the wine histories / business books and mid-century furniture and lighting made for a wonderful space to relax in. The bed was very comfortable.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Brian’s place! From the start, Brian was incredibly kind and understanding—he generously rescheduled our stay when we came down with the flu, which we truly appreciated. He was very communicative and responsive throughout the entire process, making everything smooth and stress-free. The house itself was spotless, spacious, and exactly as described. It’s located in a lovely, family-friendly neighborhood just a short walk from the beach; perfect for relaxing days outside. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked with spices, condiments, appliances, paper towels, detergents, and other essentials, which made cooking easy and convenient. All in all, this was an A+ experience. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Brian as a host!

We had a wonderful stay! Toni and Philip were so kind and helpful. The apartment was perfect for my spouse, myself, and 17 month old. There are great restaurants within walking distances and perfect access to different sites around SF. We stay at a lot of AirBnb’s and this was a great experience. We hope to return. I loved Albina's place. It was so perfect for what we were looking for. It was cute, easy to find, easy parking and just so lovely. The highlight was the view. The bedroom window looked out to the city and the ocean. We never even turned the TV on since the view from the bed was just spectacular. We literally just watched the ocean and boats going by as the sunset before our eyes. The moon then came out and we went to bed just staring out at the sky. I hope to be able to stay here again. It was such a magical retreat.

Although there is some noise from the Caltrain passing by in front of the house, Brant and Aaron’s place is clean, tidy, and they are friendly and responsive hosts. Their listing will still be our top choice when we visit San Francisco again in the future.

I love staying at Lainie and Charlie’s place. It’s quiet with a beautiful garden. It is an easy and accessible location. Lainie and Charlie are very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely stay there again on my next trip.

We parked up at the accommodation and used plentiful public transport all day which made it very relaxing. The apartment had everything we needed and we would happily stay again. Alice was very responsive and helpful. Thanks!

Amazing home that worked perfectly for our family of four (two young kids). They loved the bunk beds, keyboard, and all the toys, while we loved the hot tub. The home felt like an authentic home that is lived in and charming—not a commercial airbnb. The garage was a huge bonus, and being able to walk to the park was fun.

The home was beautiful, clean, and relaxing to stay in! We also enjoyed the central location of the Mission, which had lots of fun things to do nearby. I highly recommend staying here!

Lovely place in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. Amazing views if you walk two blocks north. You can walk to the Lyon steps which has lovely views of the bay and stunning homes surrounding it . Fillmore St has a lot of shops and restaurants and is a fairly flat walk from the apartment. Get a croissant at La Boulange on Pine St. absolutely fabulous.

Great to be so well situated that Golden Gate Park, the ocean, and the Mission District are each less than a 10 minute drive. It's also between Irving and Guerrero streets, with delightful and unfussy restaurants. Genevieve did an outstanding job of anticipating what would make our visit easy and engaging. An example was her willingness to provide us a parking spot (not a trivial thing in SF) during our stay. The apartment is spacious, light-filled and well-provisioned. No issues whatsoever, and we're pleased to give our experience five stars.

Nader, We love the Deco and the Vibes of the home. Toilet has heated seats and in-Built Bidet spray for your Ehem-ehems! Toaster,water boiler,many pans, oven, microwave, he has everything u need. I asked about Aircon🙈. We did. not need aircon as The weather is so nice and cold at Night (11degrees 13-18Jun). We loved that Nader is a responsive and responsible host. My 15yr old son had a home accident and broke a hanging light fixture at the dining area as he stood up. We informed Nader of the issue. Super-host asked "firstly, is your son okay? Does he need medical attention? I have a first aid kit in the home". Super-host Wins!!! (Inna haza larizkunna mallahu minnafad. We had a fantastic time. The view was second to none, with easy access to the beach and restaurants. Kitchen was clean and had everything we needed. Great coffee shop within walking distance (albeit with a decent hill). We happened to stay when whales were just off the coast and saw them from the shore. Could not have asked for a better day. For those with mobility issues - you do need to climb about 10 narrow steps to get to the tram, which lets you skip the rest of the stairs. But there is no way around those first steps. Would absolutely come back.

Amy met me to give me the keys and walked me through the condo to explain everything. It was a very personal approach. She also reached out to me the first morning to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. Everything was spotless and very high end. The place was very quiet and peaceful. I especially enjoyed the patio. I would highly recommend Amy's place to anyone looking for a base to enjoy San Francisco. I intend to stay again the next time I need a place in San Francisco for a few days.

Really wonderful experience all around. Our hosts were so kind, proactive, and gracious; and the apartment was perfectly clean, well stocked, and comfortable. We had absolutely zero issues with noise or privacy, and were always able to find street parking relatively nearby. We also really appreciated the host's recommendations about restaurants and local things to do. We were traveling with our 8 month old, and the hosts were able to provide us with a travel crib and high chair. Would absolutely stay again!
