Family-friendly holiday rentals in Strand

We had a wonderful stay in this fantastically beautiful house in Eefde! The accommodation is not only super stylish and furnished with great attention to detail, but also incredibly cozy – you immediately feel at home. Everything was sparkling clean and perfectly prepared. Surrounded by fields, you really live in the middle of nature and can enjoy the absolute peace. Never before have I experienced accommodation that was even more beautiful in real life than in the photos! We were particularly delighted by the loving, local welcome gifts, such as fresh apple juice, beer and homemade jam – such a warm gesture! The hostess is very friendly, helpful and available at all times. For us, it was an all-around perfect experience, and we would come back anytime. Thank you Aljanneke! 🤗

Fred and Kelly’s place is absolutely wonderful. We stayed because the price was better and there was a little more room than many places directly in the city. Though we looked forward to it, we didn’t expect to fall in love with it…and we did! Staying outside of the city is pretty great. It’s a 10ish minute walk to the train station, and then an easy navigation to wherever you need to go. We didn’t mind the “commute” a bit, and it was nice to start off and wind down in a quieter setting. The place itself is well kept, clean, and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. We enjoyed casting Netflix on the TV with the fireplace on in the evenings, and we spent a couple of mornings in the garden. We booked this spot our entire stay, but also spent one night in Amsterdam to experience “city life,” and also spent one night in Utrecht. These were perfect additions to our home base plan. I’d definitely stay here again!

Very nice space and very quit. Gunter welcomed us very kindly and with a nice drink. Jacuzzi was very nice. Thank you for your hospitality Gunter and if we are nearby again we will definitely come back.

We enjoyed our stay in the tiny house very much! Great for families, with beautiful nature and walking paths starting at your doorstep.

We spent 4 nights at this place, and absolutely loved it! The location is in the country along a canal. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. What a gem! I highly recommended this place to others!

Enjoy a few days of rest and relaxation in the beautiful green surroundings. The lodge with a nice spacious garden immediately felt like a home. Very friendly host(s) who had thought of everything Our dog also enjoyed the garden and the remote location around the lodge. It was wonderful to wake up with the horses in the adjacent meadow. A very successful first experience with Salland for us!

What a fun experience! And what a terrific host! In a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. To say we got to stay on a houseboat in Amsterdam is always going to be a fun memory! But note, it is definitely a boat. You must be fully able bodied to access the boat and get around comfortably inside. The kitchen is suitable for snacks. And as with most European AirBnBs, bring your own bath products.

Amazing place if you appreciate peace and nature

The host is comfortable, flexible and cooperative. The cottage is wonderful and more beautiful than the pictures shown. The cottage's accessories are very beautiful. The cottage and its surroundings are a garden and arranged seating and care for the trees. The little river is wonderful. I highly recommend the cottage

The stay was terrific. It is a cozy and complete cottage surrounded by greenery, with the sound of rustling trees, birds and a rooster. We will definitely come back with our cat.

Wonderful weekend in Dwarsgracht, despite the rain We had a fantastic weekend in the cottage on the Dwarsgracht, despite the weather not always cooperating. The cottage was comfortable and cozy, and the location is beautiful — even with rain it is enjoyable in this area. What really made the stay special was Eva's hospitality. She was incredibly relaxed and open, even with our animal gang. We immediately felt welcome and comfortable. It's so nice when you come somewhere and find that you are not only tolerated, but really seen and appreciated. Thank you Eva, for your warmth and hospitality! We'd love to come back — hopefully with some more sun next time. 🌦️🐾

We had a very relaxing 5 nights. Kees and Karen were impeccable hosts, laidback and always helpful. We didn't come by car, but it's easy to get into Utrecht either by bus or tram. Would definitely book again.

We had a very nice time! You can see how much love was put into the accommodation and the property! We felt comfortable right away and can only recommend the accommodation! The area is very quiet but still you can get to the supermarket, a restaurant or the beach in a short time by car. There was a travel cot, high chair and toys for our child without us asking for it. We were very happy about that! We will be happy to come back!

Jeanette was the perfect host , helpful on all scales

Tatjana is a very warm hostess, she showed us the house and gave us many tips for the area. Our 3-night stay at Tatjana's house was very nice. There was nothing missing. Communication was also flawless. Tatjana reacted very quickly and you felt very well taken care of. The location right next to the lighthouse (good orientation aid😊) was simply fantastic. It was very quiet and yet you were 2 minutes from the beach or the shopping mile with many shops, restaurants and cafes. We were also very happy about the private parking space. We highly recommend this sweet accommodation and would love to come back.

We stayed with the kids for a week. The beach was a great walk. Were also in the zoo, butterfly house and on the largest playground in Europe. Everything was reachable in 20-45 minutes. Highly recommended. Beautiful area, super nice people, also in the restaurants with the little ones. I'd love to come back :)

We enjoyed our stay at Wendela's. We were warmly welcomed. The "Rosenhäuschen" was exactly what we had imagined. It was our home away from home. And we'll be back for sure.

We had some lovely days in the bungalow, the camp site has lots to do for kids, and the beach is beautiful. Good place for 4 adults and 2 kids in the bunk bed. Will come back

We were warmly welcomed and personally guided by Marieke and one of her daughters to the apartment, where everything was shown and explained to us. There are many play options for children, such as the game collection in the apartment, swing, trampoline and outdoor pool. Ride-on toys/scooters and sand toys may also be used. Our daughter was very happy that she was allowed to play when the girls were outside. All the family members we met are very friendly and helpful. If it came up, it was also time for a little conversation. The location in the countryside was a beautiful place. We had bicycles with us, which we used to ride to the surrounding villages, to the beaches and to go shopping.

Great location. Walking distance to Cocksdorp. At the edge of the park, therefore a nice view and tranquility. Easily traveled by car. Three bathrooms, so good for groups (in our case three families) and yet privacy and private place.

We enjoyed our days in the cottage very much! Very cozy accommodation with a beautiful sauna and wonderfully quiet nature all around!

Our first airbnb experience and it couldn't be better. The stay is perfect. Beautiful, spacious, neat, clean and all necessities and more are present. Clear and quick responses to questions. Next year again!

We felt very comfortable in the chalet from the beginning and had a great holiday. The chalet is very appealing and well equipped, so we also cooked a lot. The location at the campsite is very good. Communication with Marinus was very straightforward. We also liked very much that we could use the season ticket for the outdoor swimming pool at the campsite and went swimming every morning. Ameland is a beautiful island. We can really recommend the chalet.

The cottage is on a small-scale green park, where you can go with your dog. In fact, it was the Pentecost weekend and I have never seen so many dogs. All in good shape and only friendly dogs. With a few minutes' walk, you can be in the forest, where - in some places - the dog can also be off the lead. There is also a communal swimming pool that you can use. The cottage is comfortable, the bed is good and also in a nice place where you have no view. Communication with the hostess, Jacq, is perfect. She responds immediately to any question.
