Monthly Rentals in Story

Beautiful, secluded, peaceful place to unwind with the family!! The six of us had plenty of space to hangout inside and out. House was clean. Fishing was fine for the younger kids -lots of bluegill, a few bullheads & smaller bass. No cell service but WiFi worked really well.

We really enjoyed our week at Dan's place. He is very communicative and accommodating. House is in a very quiet and serene location, and is very well equipped. Beautiful new deck and nice fire pit. Fishing was good, even with rainy conditions and high lake levels. The last portion of access road is gravel, but very we'll cared for. There was one low spot in road that flooded because Monroe Lake was at unusually high levels (11-12 ft above normal summer pool), due to extraordinarily wet spring. But our SUVs navigated it just fine. We will definitely look forward to returning.

Brian's place is very charming and is as described. Very clean, nicely decorated, you can see the bones are good but it is old with some warping wood in places. The bed, sheets and pillows were very comfortable and I'm kind of picky about that! Lots of outdoor seating. The pond with fishing poles, pier and paddle boat were all a fun treat while we were at the home. We spent most of our time in downtown Nashville and Brown County State Park which was our main interest and they never disappoint! There was a huge storm which knocked out power the second night we were there and because it is off the beaten path (which we liked!) the power company took almost a day to get the power back on. Really no big deal except not being able to charge cell phones which we didn't need much anyway. He had plenty of candles, flashlights and extra batteries. We had a very nice stay and Brian was always helpful, responsive and friendly.

The cabin was perfect for 4 families to gather together but also enjoy time apart. Beautiful surroundings and comfortable accommodations. Would definitely recommend to others.
