What a perfect spot for a weekend getaway! Staunton is beautiful and this home is the perfect location to walk anywhere. We walked downtown every day, just a quick drive or walk to Montgomery Hill Park, a walk to the baseball stadium, and a quick drive to tons of hiking! The house was clean, had everything we needed, and they even set up dog bowls for our pup. We especially loved hanging out on the front porch. Will definitely be back!

This is a great guest house in a lovely neighborhood. We encountered Cordelia on two separate occasions during our stay and it was nice to chat for a few minutes. The house itself is cute and met our weekend needs. Cordelia’s yard is beautiful and I loved looking at the gardens. Parking in the shared driveway was very easy. Although it may sound like a simple thing, we appreciated the bedside wall lamps, each with their own easily reachable light switch. We visit Staunton regularly and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Quite, peaceful apartment on second floor of an 1891 mansion. Great views to the south (trees, hills, 19th-century rooflines). High ceilings, wide-plank wood floors, plaster walls, old windows. Access to main hall of the house, which contains a beautiful staircase and arch. Easy walk to the train station, the American Shakespeare Center, and restaurants and retail along Beverly Street and the Wharf.

I was looking for a quiet escape to reset, and Kristie’s place couldn’t have been more spot-on. It’s clear from the moment you arrive that every aspect of the space was designed with care and attention—comfortable, calming, and incredibly well put together. What really makes the stay memorable, though, is Kristie herself. She’s a thoughtful and welcoming host who genuinely puts effort into making your visit smooth and enjoyable. The space is great, but the hospitality is what takes it to the next level. Grateful for the experience—this is the kind of place you hope to find but rarely do. Highly recommend for anyone needing a break.
