Beachfront holiday rental in Southern Shores

Wonderful place and very pet friendly. The location of the house on a beach access point/path was such an important benefit that I had not realized when booking the house (I did not know that there were specific beach access points and if you were not on a beach path, you had to walk to one and then head east to get to the beach) The beach cart and all of the beach accessories were terrific (shibuni, chairs, towels, cooler, beach mat, toys, bikes ect.) no need to pack/bring anything for the beach with you! Thanks for a great stay!

We had a great three night stay, my three adult children and I. The beach was surprisingly almost ours to ourselves. For an older traditional OBX house, it was well updated and very well appointed. The central floor plan is very open. I love it when you can be in the kitchen cooking while talking to everybody in the living area and those around the dinner table at the same time. Awesome view of the ocean off the back deck. We sat in the hot tub and still see the ocean. Im sometimes leary of hot tubs at the beach, a lot of times they are not well maintained. Danielle's was spotless and the water chemistry was perfect and safe. There was absolutely nothing we needed or any place where we needed to go that was not within a 5-minute drive. All of my family are fisherman. if you like to fish, there's not a better place to stay. getting from the house to the beach to surf fish takes less than a minute. we walked up to the OBX Pier several times to fish, probably less than a 5 minute walk.

Excellent place, great location, easy to get to the beach. Bedrooms were fantastic, lots of space to hang out. Kitchen had everything labeled making it easy to find and put things back. Communication with the owner was super smooth.

Our stay at changing tides in the Outer Banks was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning ocean views and the short 30 second walk to the pristine beach. The house itself is a perfect blend of coastal charm and modern comfort, with a fabulous kitchen, hot tub, and very well appointed living spaces. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the thoughtful touches made our vacation effortless and relaxing. The location in Duck was ideal—close to local restaurants, shops, and attractions like iconic duck donuts haha, nearby cute places to eat , yet tucked away in a peaceful neighborhood. The host was incredibly responsive. We will definitely return.

I had a very enjoyable stay. The cottage was spotless, very clean, beds were comfortable, it was exactly how it is depicted and described. I needed a place to decompress after my dad’s funeral and this was just the place. I traveled with my German Shepherd and we were able to take long walks on the beach right across the street. The host was very responsive to any questions I had and communicated when the place was ready early. Would totally recommend.

Beautiful, immaculate home! Very high end aesthetic, furniture, fixtures, dish-ware. The location has something to offer for all. The beach was a fairly short walk. The house came equipped with beach chairs, an umbrella, and a buggy to tote your items. I couldn’t have asked for a better environment. It’s a great house for a small group. I actually visited solo with my puppy and enjoyed having all the space.

Sarah was a great and responsive host and the location was absolutely beautiful, a nice private beach across the street, this stay at Sarahs helped make our trip as phenomenal as it was.

We had an incredible stay at this stunning 6-bedroom beach house in Corolla! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the attention to detail, beautiful furnishings and thoughtful touches throughout the home. It’s clear the owner truly cares about creating a premium experience for guest - every amenity you could want is here. The location is fantastic! Just a short walk to the beach with breathtaking views from the top deck that made for the perfect spot to enjoy morning coffee or sunset cocktails. The house has so much space for everyone to relax and have fun, whether it was hanging out in the game room, taking a dip in the private pool or jacuzzi or just lounging on one of the many private decks. The layout was ideal for our group and we especially appreciated how well-stocked and well-maintained everything was. This isn’t your average rentL as it feels more like staying in a luxurious, professionally designed vacation home. I would highly recommend this Outer Banks home.

We really enjoyed our stay here as a family with small children. There were only a couple other people at the condominium so the pool was always available and parking was easy. I liked how you get to park underneath the condos so your car stays shaded. The lock code to the stairwell and elevator made us feel secure. There were plenty of nice beach items to use in the storage including wagon, umbrella, and chairs. Each room had plenty of beach towels and bath towels. The walk to the beach was minimal. The only cons were loud vehicles since you are close to the road and one ceiling fan not working in a bedroom but that didn’t bother us! Overall it is a great place and exceeded our expectations!

Overall, this was a great vacation spot. Hosts were great! House was great! We had a small inconvenience with three people coming the first day to service different parts of the house, but once addressed the host’s accommodated our requests well. Location is nice!

I booked this location for our 2 year anniversary and it was an incredible stay. The view was perfect and the house was everything we needed for a few days stay. Gene was incredibly kind and even allowed us to check in early which worked out perfectly for us. The listing was just as described and honestly much more head space in the main room than we originally thought. The internet was great which was incredibly useful for our remote work. Couldn't recommend a better stay in the OBX for the price and location.

We had a wonderful stay… the OBX is now our favorite vacations spot! Sounds Groovy was Awesome with wonderful and responsive hosts.

This is our 3rd time staying here! Has a beautiful view, great access to the beach and a nice pool, which is so great to break up the day. We traveled with two adults and two children perfect amount of space. Little dated inside but has everything you need. We come for the location, because it’s so good! As other reviews have said there is a rental above you. We had one night of very late night noise but other than that it was a wonderful stay, we will be coming back!

Our stay was wonderful! The house was cozy and modern with just the right amount of beachy vibes. The beds were all very comfortable, and we loved the master suite! The bikes definitely came in handy for quick trips to town and the beach. Everything we needed was available in the house. The pool was also quite secluded which was nice. Loved this house and would definitely recommend!

What a beautiful home just steps from the ocean. Our group of 8 high school friends had a great time and appreciated the beautiful accommodations. Bedrooms are varied and well-separated for privacy. Lots of doors to access to the rear deck, pool, hot tub, and beach. The kitchen is a gourmet's delight with a great selection of cookware and tableware. We would have appreciated a few more essentials in the kitchen and bathroom.

It was an ideal location for walking to the beach! We did not have to go out into any major roads which is a huge bonus. The beach here was never crowded. The pool was so clean and relaxing. The deck space was very enjoyable mornings and evenings too.

Stayed here for Memorial day weekend. Richard’s place is about 200 feet from the beach which was more like a private beach with less people. Richard is very thoughtful and included almost everything you need for a beach vacation. Kitchenette does not have a stove and a sink but there’s an outdoor stove and a sink on the deck. Overall, liked the place and location and would stay again in future. .

If you are looking for a great place to stay in the outer banks (Duck) as the perfect central location to do anything and everything with all of the comforts of home, amenities for all activities, and a great place to come “home” to after long days of exploring and activities this is IT! Jessica was a great host and has provided everything needed for a comfy stay including everything you need for a day at the beach, a good nights sleep, morning coffee any way you like it, as well as the small touches like quality TP. We were no more than 20 minutes away from anything we wanted to do from Nags head (Jennette’s Pier) to the beginning of the 4x4 beach drive in Corolla. In our short weekend stay we visited the Pier, the largest sand dunes on the east coast, saw alligator, bear and bald eagle (among other wildlife) on the refuges , a day on the beach in Corova seeing the wild horses and great walkable restaurants after seeing deer outside the door. Great place! Highly recommend!

I love the memories our family shared together here. Our family has vacationed in OBX several years, and Kat’s house is a true gem that stands out because we: - Walked quickly to and from the beach. Cars would stop to allow us to cross the street. - Made meals together in our well equipped kitchen. We also dined in nearby local restaurants. - Found quality supplies and equipment in laundry, bathrooms, outdoor shower, and beach closet. - Relaxed in the hot tub. All six of us fit comfortably together! The hot tub was clean, modern, and well maintained. - Soaked in amazing views on the top deck with quality, comfortable seating. - Enjoyed games like Jumanji, Tiki Toss, and Twister during rain. Next time we may try OBX Monopoly. Katherine’s service is best in class because she is proactive, thoughtful, and effective. I didn’t worry about a thing! Our guests ranged from preschool age to retired, and we all valued our stay. We appreciated your comfortable and thoughtful space. Thank you!

Very clean, well appointed and well located place. Host was very helpful and communicated often. Close and easy to beach, close to Wright Brothers monument. Easy access to shopping and restaurants. We would recommend and will stay again next time we are in the Outer Banks.

My family stayed 8 nights. Regardless of the time of day or night, the views were breathtaking and so special. The sky and the cloud formations were spectacular. The house layout was thoughtfully done. The tote with extra toilet paper, papertowel, Kleenex, laundry detergent, and garbage bags were a godsend. They provided everything you needed extra beach chairs, 2 large beach umbrellas, boogie boards, a beach cooler etc. The selection of books were a true reader's paradise. The house is located very conveniently to stores, restaurants and the beach! You can run into the house and come back in just a few steps! This house has to be the best house we have stayed in OBX for over 10 years.

Perfect trip with my partner! The place was incredibly clean and we really appreciated the included beach supplies (2 chairs, umbrella, cooler). Being less than a 5 minutes walk to the beach was AMAZING!! We couldn’t have picked a better place for an outer banks trip. We would definitely stay here again!!

Gunther's place was a wonderful choice for our family. There were six of us that we needed to fit in the house and at no point did it feel too small or uncomfortable. The location is very central and you can go just about anywhere you want in a matter of minutes. The beach is a matter of a couple minutes away walking and it did not at all feel like a crowded place. The house was exactly as shown in the pictures and they did include all the amenities that were listed. We'll definitely consider this place again the next time we go to OBX.

This cottage is true to its name! It is literally a 2 minute walk to the beach and you couldn’t ask for anything better than that, but wait till you visit a beach walk cottage. This cottage was beyond amazing, exceeding my expectations, it’s probably the best Airbnb i have ever stayed at which made our trip so enjoyable, we didn’t want to leave. The decor, the cleanliness, amenities, game room, laundry room, porch area and picnic table, EVERYYTHING etc felt like a beautiful dream. The beds were very comfortable, (and Im a light sleeper) and the bathrooms were so elegant! It Felt like i was in a Pinterest board. I also liked how close it was to local good eats and attractions. The neighborhood was also safe and quiet. I would highly recommended this house and I can’t wait to bring back my nephew! He loved the bunk beds and the game room! The hosts were very responsive whenever i had questions.
