Holiday rentals with a fire pit in South End, Halifax

Geordie place is nice and the neighbourhood is quiet. He was very quick in responding. Great location- Walking distance to Penhorn plaza and close to Halifax downtown. We enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed staying at Robert's fabulously decorated home. It is a unique home in a beautiful setting; it's not often we get to stay in a home with exotic birds, friendly ducks, and a dinosaur room. And Robert is an excellent host. It's a great location for seeing the area - many attractions within a 1-2 hour drive. We would stay here again if our travels bring us back to Nova Scotia.

We of 4 women going on a trip to NFLD and Evens home was our 2nd stop. WOW, what at beautiful place to stay. Both back and front can be seen with water and beautiful trees. This home was very clean and cozy. Peggy’s Cove is 10 minutes away and not far to see the Bluenose, with to see both. Would highly recommend this home.

We had a wonderful stay at Francois’s house! The place was quiet, spotless, and the beds were very comfortable — perfect for a restful stay. Francios was a fantastic host: welcoming, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Matthew’s house was very clean. The location was great, easy to get to downtown Halifax. Matthew was quick to answer any questions.

Our trip to Nova Scotia was a special celebration for our daughter. We chose the Den of Zen for a number of reasons, all of which exceeded our expectations: beautiful setting on a lake; clean and modern interior; an elixir of natural light from a wall of windows; use of great amenities such as a sauna, hot tub, and grill; close to Halifax/airport and easy access to routes for day trips; and comfortable beds. What was remarkable was the incredible hospitality of our hostess, Shelley, who made the trip THE best by offering attraction suggestions and keeping in touch to answer our questions. She was so attentive. We highly recommend a stay at the Den of Zen!

Kelly & Doris were so accommodating, and helpful. We had the absolute best time during our stay. The property is stunning, and very well kept. Our children loved having the playground across the pond to play at. Waking up there every morning was so peaceful. We will cherish the memories we made at this private little oasis.

From the moment we walked into Jennifer’s home we felt so comfortable. The home is beautifully laid out and was very clean. It had everything we could have needed for our stay. Jennifer was so helpful with recommendations of things to do in the area and she was always very quick to respond to any questions. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the Halifax area.

Very nice place to stay. The view from the back yard is priceless and is very relaxing .She has everything there to make for a nice evening outside ,patio lights, firepit ,lite up dock and picnic table right on the water. Inside is very clean and cozy and is not lacking for anything that you might need .This is not a place that you want to make any excessive noise as there is another residence right above you.

Our family of 5 loved the basement suite. Our boys loved jumping off the dock, going for a canoe ride and playing charades as a family. Thanks for hosting us!

We loved the location central to going to Halifax and Mahone Bay and Lundenburg also for going to our next place. Clean neat and tidy great shower all the amenities you need for a short stay!!

Victoria has created such a cozy and welcoming space with an absolutely gorgeous view. Everything is spotless and pristine, the bed was super comfortable, and she has provided all you need for a home away from home. We enjoyed meeting her very sociable chickens and were able to truly relax in between our runs into Halifax for fabulous food, and a quick trip to Peggy’s Cove. Although our stay was brief, we had a simply marvelous time. Thank you so much, Victoria!

Our stay was great. There was on-street parking available, the space was clean and as described and had all the amenities listed. I would stay there again!

We really enjoyed our stay! The amenities were great, so we didn’t mind too much that the weather wasn’t the best and we couldn’t explore as much. Marvin was a superhost—really friendly and always made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

Excellent place to stay! Backyard area and hot tub is really nice. Place is clean and comfortable. Highly recommend this place and staying in the north end of Halifax.

We stayed for 6 months and it was absolutely wonderful! There were lots of beaches and trails nearby to take our dog. The views were amazing! We even saw a seal once! The apartment was beautiful as well, especially the kitchen (as someone who loves to cook and bake it was perfect!) It's the perfect distance from Halifax if you don't like the bustle of a city but still want to do some sightseeing if you don't mind driving a bit! Overall we loved every part of our stay :)

Great spot to visit for a weekend getaway! Even though the cabin is attached to their house, the hosts made us feel secluded and welcome.

Wonderful stay at a great location and friendly accommodating hosts.Location and property was like a piece of paradise to us.Enjoyed the ducks playing in the pond each day and the dear passing by our doorway each night to get there supper from Kim.Enjoyed each morning breakfast prepared by chef Craig ,wonderful variety,beautiful presentation and delivered personally by Craig to our doorstep each morning during our stay.Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a 5 Star vacation. Took an impromptu trip to NS for the weekend and lucked out with a vacancy at the Lakeside Lookout cabin. Very quiet, peaceful and serene surroundings made our stay more than enjoyable, topped off with a clean and welcoming cabin. Interested to see all the other things that they will build and do with this property. Will return in the future for sure.

This is our third time staying at Porters Peak and we love it every time! We’ve stayed in the tents, camping area and now this chalet. Very private, has everything you need to get away and unplug with your family. Beautiful spot.

Awesome experience . I felt really disconnected from the noise and stress from the city.
