Holiday rentals with a fire pit in South Derbyshire District

Our stay at Sunshine Cottage was absolutely wonderful! The cottage itself is beautiful, and it's clear a lot of thought has gone into making it pretty, comfortable, and full of everything you need for a fantastic stay. We truly appreciated all the thoughtful touches. Wirksworth and surrounding areas are incredibly charming, offering plenty to explore and enjoy. What a lovely cottage! The views were spectacular! My daughters and I took many pictures of the countryside and of the adorable sheep grazing nearby. The cottage was perfect for resting up and refreshing between our trips to the Chatsworth House and Gardens. We stayed at Lee's place whilst in the area for work. We had a great stay. The house is decorated in a very modern style and is a great place to relax in the evenings. Whilst we didn't use the hot tub that is also a great addition. Having 2 parking spaces was also a massive bonus for us. Access to the front of the house is down a really quiet close as well which made our work vehicles feel even more secure. Thanks Lee!

The fact that this was our second time here speaks volumes. Superb place, ideal for a 'get away from it all' break. Host lives quite close and responds immediatley to any queries. No cellphone coverage but superfast wi-fi. Can't wait till next year.

This way our second visit here to this property (with family and two dogs first time, and with friends and one dog this time), and The Lodge offers comfortable accommodation for up to 10 people. Usefully, there is also driveway parking for our three vehicles. Teresa is responsive to queries and provides timely information, and booking here supports a charitable cause too , which is commendable. The Lodge is in a good location for visiting Matlock Bath, the excellent Crich Tramway Museum, and not too far to drive to some good walks and locations in the Peak District. We will definitely be coming back again to The Lodge! Elaine

We were a group of 2 families who live at opposite ends of the country and Orchard barn and Anvil cottage were the perfect meeting spot for us! We loved the breeze house and the hot tub and there were so many outdoor seating areas to enjoy the sunshine and the views. The cottage itself had everything you could need and the appliances and furnishings were all high end and spot on. The kitchen was very well equipped and a gas BBQ was available for us to use. Adam met us at check in and ran us through anything we needed to know and he offered great suggestions for things to do - the Dod and Partridge pub being a favourite! We had a great stay and would highly recommend it.

Great host, easy check in

We had a good 2-night stay at the property, perfect location for an event we were attending in Stafford. We visited Cannock Chase on both days which is well worth a visit. We had children with us and there is an excellent park only 5-minutes walk from the accommodation. The flat is well equipt and we really appreciated the board games and darts. Excellent communication from the host.

The accommodation was booked for a colleague travelling from China and working in the UK for 3 weeks. Perfect location to enjoy great bars and restaurants in both Kingsheath and Mosley, good bus links into Birmingham. Everything we needed and a lovely homely feel. Really appreciated the fresh milk, bread, tea, coffee and biscuits. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again.

Excellent stay, well equipped in the outdoor kitchen. Clean and tidy and very friendly hosts and very responsive. Location is peaceful, pretty and only a few minutes from Alton Towers. Great stay thank you

my stay at the cabin was lovely, definitely exceeded my expectations, was very peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Hottub was amazing aswell, just what i needed to relax and unwind, would definitely recommend to others.

Absolutely amazing, hot tub was an added bonus. Sarah was really helpful gave us a good few places to visit for our stay. The cozy cabin we had was on the end and waking up to the cows on the field was a new experience which was a fun one. Loved the idea of the fire pit. After a long soak in the tub coming out to dry by the fire pit while watching the stars was amazing. Will definitely be back

Plenty of comms from the moment we booked. Beautiful location and a lovely welcome package from Sarah. Within minutes of arriving we were already looking when we can book to come back.
