Monthly Rentals in Smock

Beautiful, peaceful getaway in a magical forest setting! The house was clean, super comfortable, and had everything we needed. We spent a week exploring the local area and loved coming back to the house each evening to relax. The porch overlooking the woods & adorable gardens was the best place to sit & soak in the sounds of waterfalls and birds. We loved walking the grounds & checking out the picnic areas. At night, the solar lights make a fairyland :) The driveway is described accurately in the listing. We had a small 2-wheel drive SUV & had no problem getting up to the house, even after several days of heavy rain. The stream was flowing pretty high & we were able to cross it (a sedan might struggle on a very rainy day). We watched dvds every night (we're dvd people)! There was enough phone signal to make calls & access the internet. Scott always answered texts promptly. Scott's place was perfect for visiting the GAP towns, Pittsburgh, & surrounding areas. We hope to return!

The house was super clean and fully stocked! Beautiful location with many things near by to visit such as wineries, parks and restaraunts. Snowed more than half the time we were there, Alex had a shovel and salt at the door for us to use which was a welcomed addition. Very comfortable seating with fireplace and plenty of blankets, definately a cozy cabin feel on a snowy day. We were happy with our stay and look forward to another stay in the future.!

This was a great place to get away! It had everything we needed and more! It was super clean and beautifully decorated. So close to the mountains and the host was friendly and inviting! We only stayed one night but the family didn’t want to leave! Great place and amazing hosts. Highly recommend.

It was an awesome stay. Loved the history since I was present when they were filming the movie. Comfortable, clean home. Wonderful full view of the downtown area( even tho they are rebuilding the cast iron bridge midtown). Glad to see some revitalization of my hometown. Thank you Matt and Steven.
