Lovely remodeled home, with plenty of room. Very clean and fully stocked. Really enjoyed all the snacks provided, and games. Host was quick to respond to our inquiry. Highly recommend!

Me and my two daughters went to this Airbnb and it was lovely. We enjoyed ourselves and wish we could’ve stayed there longer.

Such a beautiful home right on the water! We went to the SML wine festival and the location of the home was perfect. Host was VERY responsive to any questions we had. Our family gathered there in the Forest/Lynchburg area for Thanksgiving this year. We found this property to be entirely suitable for our use in this way. The house is laid out well and we were able to enjoy our time together. Scott was very accommodating on anything that we needed and responsive when we had any questions. We certainly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely consider staying in this property again if we needed to gather in that area. Highly recommend this property to others whose group sizes are compatible with the house. Thanks so much for making us feel at home and for accommodating us while we were here.

Dannie and Nancy are amazing people! They made our short stay so amazing and felt more like being at an amazing family lake house than a rental. The lake house is a little piece of heaven. I'm a disabled Veteran that struggles with ptsd and anxiety and being here was so good for my mind heart and soul. Me and my wife loved it and loved meeting Dannie and Nancy in person! we are already planning trips back and can't wait. we thank Dannie and Nancy so much and highly recommend staying at their place!

Peaceful is the best way to describe this retreat. We had 3 generations of family along with our active dogs and everyone had a great New Year’s holiday. The home was well cared for and the setting was serene. Close enough to obtain all the necessary provisions but far enough away that for most of they stay everyone just hung out together. I would definitely recommend and hope to stay again.

Conny's home was well stocked with all of the essentials. It was the best of all of the rental homes that we have rented. His home worked very well for the 6 of us, 3 adults and 3 children. Two of the children play ice hockey and it was just minutes away from both ice rinks. The location worked well for us, (grocery stores, restaurants, mall, theater, etc.), was so close by. Conny's home is at the top of our list. Conny responded quickly when we had any questions. We would defintely enjoy staying here again.

Shady Oaks is located in a quaint development right on the water. It's heavily wooded with lots of shade. The neighborhood is generally quiet and there is a private road that loops down and back. The house is well maintained and features lots of outdoor space to enjoy your stay. Water access is via the dock which also features an elevated deck above the dock. The kids and I spent most of our time at the dock--enjoying the cove by either fishing or kayaking (2 come with the rental). Relaxing on the deck was also great in the evening. We brought our puppy since dogs are allowed (extra $25 per day upto 2 dogs). It was nice to have an enclosed deck off the main level for our puppy to enjoy with us. The beds were very firm memory foam, but comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensil, gadgets, spices, and oils. The location is convenient to the state park (a must), Virginia Dare boat tour, restaurants, and shopping. Overall a good 3-day weekend stay.

Michelles cabin was great! Very quaint and cozy, perfect for my husband and I. There wasn’t any Wi-Fi/internet, but we were able to use our hotspots which was great for a rainy day. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect for dog lovers and lake lovers! I’ve rented various condos at Smith Mountain Lake and several different ones at Stripers Landing, but Shannon’s place is now my new favorite. With a great view, plenty of space and the option to bring the pup - it’s such a treat. Highly recommend.

Allison was very responsive, helpful and friendly. Her place is well kept well decorated and comfortable for our stay. Mariners point and her rental allows access to lots of social and sport activities making the stay that much more enjoyable. Access to 12 pickleball courts large workout facilities and indoor/outdoor pools.

This was an outstanding place. First thing I noticed upon arrival was how clean and well kept the place was. Like spotless. Linens were clean and great quality. Beds were super comfortable. Location was great— lake front. Very safe. This place was PERFECT for our family— we have 3 small kids and took advantage of the pool, playground and small beach, all of which are walkable from the place. We also walked to the “bites and pints” where there was food and live music. Wonderful.

Great location on the lake with a beautiful view. Had more than we could ask for in amenities! Definitely fell in love with the Hot tub.

Great stay. Cute condo right above restaurant and store. Brought my SUP and used it a lot. Lots to do at Mariner’s landing. Great food and service at The Landing, Bruno’s and Bottles and Bites. State Park 7 minutes away is excellent for hiking. Lots of friendly neighbors! We’re ready to go back!!

The place is as pictured, comfy and clean. The host was very responsive and accommodating. I would recommend and stay again.

My family was comfortable, had fun stuff to do when we were there, and Cirlene was communicative and accommodating. Just such a great host! We’re so thankful how well this worked out and to know some new people in the new town we’ll be moving to!

Amazing and YES, cozy but not small country cottage! Beautiful Natural and well kept outdoors. Many sitting and dinning areas. inside provided tremendous light, many windows, Amazing space and separation of sleeping areas and very private bath. Kitchen perfectly laid out with much space for multiple cooks. Clean, private, quite and indoor bug free environment. Two perfect fire pits; one secluded for privacy and another perfect for gatherings. Perfect ambience. We felt we were home away from home. We had last minute request and Michelle was flexible, accommodating and went beyond host duties to fulfill our unusual needs. We will definitely return for another country cozy get away. Check in/out instructions were clear and minimal. Thank you for an amazing getaway! Look for us to return. We will definitely tell our friends!

This is a beautiful, remote getaway. This is not a place to go if you want 10 restaurants in walking distance; this is a place to get away from the rest of the world and relax in gorgeous natural surroundings. Everything was in great condition; we made full use of the kitchen to bake bread and pizza, and played down in the arcade for a good chunk of our weekend. I particularly want to call out the host's flexibility: we visited during a winter storm, snowing us in such that we couldn't get out until late the final day of our stay. The host was completely understanding and we felt no pressure to leave given the unusual situation. To that point, note that the driveway is very steep and relatively narrow; if you're arriving in the rain or at night it'll pay to be extra careful. But it's absolutely worth it!

My family gathered here with two dogs and there was plenty of space for all of us! Check-in was a breeze. The hosts communicated proactively and offered early check-in. The place was perfectly clean. We had 6 adults, a teen, a preteen, a toddler, and a walking infant so the doors at the top of both sets of inside stairs and the highchair were appreciated. My nephew loved the gameroom in the basement. We appreciated the Roku TVs. We had no issues with internet access during our stay. The paved walkway to the lake is steep so I recommend bringing down what you need so you don't have to make multiple trips. If you're in shape you'll be fine. We stayed in winter so we didn't spend much time by the water. We struggled with the thermostat. Despite simple instructions in the welcome guide it was not very responsive to our efforts to set it and adjusted itself. Would benefit from a more user/guest friendly model. Ample parking, quiet & nature. Great view. Overall we loved our stay, thank you!

Views. Views. Views. The views. The views were absolutely stunning and the best on the lake. We rented a boat, had a lot of fun doing so, but literally spent more time at the house because of the views, privacy, and serenity. Paddle boarding, kayaking, and hanging out on the dock was spectacular. There are views from the kitchen, dining area, patio, every where you turned, the mountain was in full glory. The house was well equipped and stocked, with an added bonus of a nostalgic trip to the 80’s with the original floors and design. We had a great time taking in the serenity of it all. We felt a true connection with the energy of the space and nature. With all the hustle and bustle of our stressful lives, this listing has everything you can think of to unwind, unplug, and have a good time. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will be back!

Kelli's place was absolutely perfect for our party of four + dog! We were visiting for a wedding with many events throughout the week, frequently coming & going. Location was very convenient to downtown & just off the main road for us. We particularly appreciated that while the place felt homey, it wasn't overly full of decorations covering every surface, making you feel like your belongings are going to get easily lost. It was well equipped to cook at the place & we wanted for nothing! Kelli was extremely kind & accommodating to our schedule. We would definitely stay here again!

Leslie was very kind and helpful with any questions we had and very prompt. Loved the view and very thankful for the online guide they created for visitors new to the area. Will keep this place in mind for future trips!

Emma was easy to deal with and the tiny house was very clean. Great bed and a good TV to watch. The kitchen although small had all the amenities. Easy to find and convenient to Vinton and surrounding areas. Thanks again making our transition move to Roanoke an easier one.
