Cabin holiday rentals in Smith Mountain Lake

What an absolute gem! Beautiful, extremely clean, and private while still being an easy drive back to town for a nice dinner! Even in very early spring, the woods were beautiful. We loved the hot tub and the creek, and seeing only trees out the window. It was the perfect spot for our first grown-ups-only weekend in 10 years. We hope to come back soon!

Voy Provided us with a perfect stay! Everything was amazing. We left a pair of glasses and she promptly mailed them out to us. 10/10 would recommend.

We loved Firefly Cottage and can’t wait to go back again! It is so peaceful and cozy and had everything we needed. Sitting on the deck watching the boats and enjoying the beautiful view was a perfect way to relax! Highly recommend!

Ms. Michelle hosted my team as we were in town for a tournament and we thoroughly enjoyed the large space with the nice bedrooms, spacious living rooms, and the hot tub. We had access to everything we needed, with Ms. Michelle even getting some extra towels for us. A great stay!

We spent 3 very rainy days at Smith Mountain Lake, and Gwen's place was the highlight for our small gathering of 2 families (4 adults & 4 kids). In terms of space for sleeping, we had more than enough. The 5th bedroom came in handy for the lone teenager in our group, and rooms are spaced throughout the house in a way that allows you to arrange them in order by who is going to sleep first. Beyond that, we spent a lot of time at the place just relaxing. There's a great hot tub/spa that's more than big enough for 4 adults, and a huge, covered back porch off the kitchen that's great for hanging out, even in the rainy winter. Gwen has stocked the place with board games, air hockey and foosball, and there's a ping pong table in the lower porch area. Based on our stay this winter, we'd love to come back when the weather is nicer. The dock is perfect for swimming and getting the kayaks out in the water. Thanks again, Gwen!

We enjoyed a wonderful long weekend stay at the cabin. The surroundings are beautiful and had we been in the area to enjoy ‘lake life’ this cabin would be a perfect fit. We were in the area to visit some museums in Roanoke and usually stay in hotels, but our dogs tend to bark and that bothers the other guests. As the cabin is dog friendly, we were able to crate them for a little while, while we enjoyed our day. Our host provided plenty of towels for our use, though we were surprised that there were no washcloths provided. When I mentioned this to our host, she said they’d take that recommendation for future guests. I’d also suggest that a box of tissues would be a nice addition (fortunately we had one in the car). But this is nitpicking, really. Bottom line - it’s a beautiful cabin and the surroundings are the same. Any lake loving boater would be right at home. And our host was friendly and communicative.

I would stay here again. It’s peaceful and comfortable. The area is easy to maneuver and the drive to grab dinner, supplies or whatnot is scenic and lovely. The cabin sits above the lake so you feel like you are floating over the water even from inside. This is a great place to unwind.

The setting and views of the cabin were incredible; perfect for a relaxing vacation. Proximity to the lake was wonderful for us as we have two boys who were seemingly born with fishing poles! We were also thrilled with how easy it was to rent extra boats from Alicia. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Alicia’s detailed instructions were so helpful. Finally, I was so grateful for how responsive and helpful Alicia was when we realized we had intended to book another night. She was so accommodating and then Airbnb was having technical difficulties with the change request and Alicia was so patient and helpful as we worked it out. It was hard to leave and we certainly hope to return!

Amazing and YES, cozy but not small country cottage! Beautiful Natural and well kept outdoors. Many sitting and dinning areas. inside provided tremendous light, many windows, Amazing space and separation of sleeping areas and very private bath. Kitchen perfectly laid out with much space for multiple cooks. Clean, private, quite and indoor bug free environment. Two perfect fire pits; one secluded for privacy and another perfect for gatherings. Perfect ambience. We felt we were home away from home. We had last minute request and Michelle was flexible, accommodating and went beyond host duties to fulfill our unusual needs. We will definitely return for another country cozy get away. Check in/out instructions were clear and minimal. Thank you for an amazing getaway! Look for us to return. We will definitely tell our friends!

My family and I had a wonderful time at the cabin! It was so beautiful and everything was just as it was described. The kids loved their room and had so much fun at the playground. We are talking of booking another stay in the summer so we can enjoy the lake. 10/10 amazing stay

Without a doubt one of the best AirBnb’s we’ve stayed at. We spent Thanksgiving at Kyle’s place and it was incredible. The kitchen had everything I needed. Thus home has been beautifully remodeled and has so many special touches. Communication was also answered within minutes. We look Forward to coming back again for weeks stay. Thank you!

The cabin is spectacular. Great location. Beds were comfortable. House was clean and well decorated. Overall it was a great place to spend the weekend away.

Melba's little cabin is amazing. Don't just stay somewhere nice, stay somewhere unique and wonderful! From the custom details in the house to the adorable animals just across the fence (especially the little pig), this cabin was a heartwarming, peaceful experience we'll never forget. Close to great dining, too and of course Smith Mountain Lake. Thank you, Melba and family. We hope to come back.

The Lodge was a great getaway on a beautiful lake. Super cozy bedroom and a fantastic fireplace for warm nights snuggled up on the couch. We enjoyed shooting pool and throwing some darts. The deck lights create a wonderful ambiance outside, along with the sounds of the trees and lake waters. Truly beautiful! A fully stocked kitchen made for ease of use! We would certainly return!
