Ski-in/Ski-out holiday rentals in Skagerrak

The property is absolutely stunning, only topped by the amazing views! The home is beautifully nestled into the rock and natural surroundings. Consequently, the views from the hot tub and the sauna are breathtaking. During our stay, we had excellent sunny weather and enjoyed daily. Hikes: either directly from the home or within a 30 minute car drive. The house itself is well laid out and the kitchen has everything you need for six people. It never felt crowded, except occasionally the two lounge chairs from which you could view the valley, as we sometimes fought over who gets to sit in them… 😊 There is a small grocery store just down the mountain within a 15 minute drive. It is well stocked but a bit expensive. For us this was a perfect vacation as we just wanted to enjoy nature and relax. Beyond that, there really isn’t much to do as there are neither museums nor cultural points of interest. During the winter time, this obviously is a prime skiing location.

Excellent house near the ski slope at the bottom of the mountain. That also means that during the day the sun does not shine on the terraces. The house is well decorated, feels comfortable when it has warmed up (it was -23C) and was spacious enough for the six people we were with. Two cars fit well with the house. The road was kept neatly snow-free. There were no appliances broken, everything was tidy and we would book it again. Great place, good host, nothing to complain about.

The house is situated on a beautiful plot of land adjacent to the lake, within a short walk of the nearest ski lift in winter and right next to fishing in summer. Theres plenty of parking and large space for entertainment. The host is friendly and swift to reply and address questions. Theres everything in the kitchen needed to cater for meals, the entertainment room is great for some inside chillax, and the jacuzzi was a highlight for both kids and adults.

This is truly a great cabin with everything you could dream of! Definitely proper people who own this castle of a cabin, because here there were clever and great details everywhere, and very modern. There were 6 of us on a trip, and all the young people and adults and the 6 year old found their zones where they relaxed, enjoyed their holiday and were able to settle! We checked out the sauna by a small pond one of the days and it was really cozy. Only 10 minutes walk from the cabin. Otherwise, we had lots of Easter activities and cooked delicious food. The sun was also on our side, so we were outside grilled on the fire pit. Here we would love to come back! Thank you very much for us🤗

We stayed with two families, 4 adults and 4 children, in this beautiful house. We felt very comfortable. The house was handed over to us very clean and the amenities were also top. There are enough plates, pans, etc. We stayed at the house over New Year's Eve and got both very cold days and some snow. The house is very well prepared for this. Despite the hillside location, the path to the house is also easily accessible in snow, as it is cleared by a snow blower several times a day. The sauna and hot tub are real highlights even in winter. We explored the surroundings for walking and sledding. We had a really great few days and would be happy to come back to this beautiful house.

We had a very nice stay in this beautiful house in a very nice environment. There is still construction next door, but we were kindly warned, and it wasn’t too bothersome. Overall the hosts very accomodating to our special requests (we decided to rent the whole place instead just half once we arrived).

Eva not say enough about this beautiful house. The location was picturesque and tranquil, we enjoyed sipping our nespresso looking at the view. There was more than enough space for two families, even though we were only three. We had a sauna every day and were lucky to have some snow. The beds were heavenly, we slept in every day. We did some skiing at Panorama Vradal right down the road. Kiki was super responsive in helping us figure things out. Her place is perfect for rest and relaxation. We will be back!!

Great and cozy cabin, everything worked as it should. The double bed was very narrow for 2 people. Fun with touring in the living room. Short distance to the slalom slope and cross country tracks. Cozy hostess who allowed us to send check out since the first day had miserable weather and the second day brilliant sun and the opportunity for a day of skiing. Thanks for us, we'd love to be back.

It was our second holiday in Rauland and we felt very comfortable in Richard and Monica's house again. We were lucky with the weather. Every day we could enjoy the view of the fascinating mountains from the large terrace. The house is very cosy and the perfect place to relax after a ski tour. Richard and Monica are wonderful hosts and always very helpful. The central location of the house is ideal for winter sports and excursions in the surrounding area. We made it to the highest mountain Gaustatoppen this time and it was a great experience. Rauland is always worth a visit and we would love to come back.

Great stay at Rauland, a little bit colder than the rest of south Norway, but central towards many interesting spots around. Good communicating and friendly host.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. It was cozy and warm, even in the winter. Thove was a caring host, always quick to respond and offer helpful suggestions for things to do. We would recommend it for a getaway.

Had a wonderful stay in natural and quiet surroundings. In addition, we were very well taken care of by Anne and her mother after a small family accident, who deserve some extra attention.😇 We would gladly came back!

Our second stay at this cozy and nice cabin. The cabin is well equipped, and furniture and beds comfortable. The cabin is located right by great ski slopes. Would love to come again :)

We had a really nice skiing holiday starting from Sveinung's cabin on the mountain. It took 5 minutes to drive to Haukeli Skisenter, alternatively there was a ski-in/out route we never explored. The cabin was huge and really well-stocked, there was nothing missing, and you could clearly sense that Sveinung's approach to its hosting role is to ensure happy guests. We enjoyed the great space of the house, homey comfort (baby bed, high chairs, TV, DVDs and games/toys). Thank you so much for a lovely holiday!

Very cozy and practical cabin! Short way to the city centre and good parking spaces. The cabin was conveniently built with a great kitchen with all the equipment.

We had a very nice stay at Mina`s chalet. Very close to the ski-slopes, nice terrace and fireplaces. (inside & outside) The covered parking (Carport) was also great when it started snowing, our SUV + Roofbox fitted easy under it. The area is also very nice, friendly staff everywhere and they can all speak good English. We definitely comeback one day. Thanks Mina for your hospitlatiy and sharing your Chalet with us people.

We enjoyed 6 days in Martin and Nina's cozy cabin. There were beautiful mountains with snow as far as the eye could see. The cabin was nice and heated when we arrived, and had everything you needed for a week of skiing. Martin responded quickly, friendly, and pleasantly to all inquiries. I hope we get a chance to come back in the future!

This was a small and homey cabin to relax. With amazing and beautiful nature and with good view. Happy to recommend this to others.

Lovely cabin for the price. This is the 2nd time we use it. The host is always easy to reach and flexible. The cabin is in order and well set up for rent but still appears very homely. All the beds were new good beds and there were lots of duvets and pillows to use. We brought our little dog. There were dog bowls ready on the floor and there was a line outside it could be strapped in. We'll definitely be back.

I got nothing but nice words about the cottage and Oxana as a hostess! Extremely charming house and the surroundings are just gorgeous. Very serene and a perfect place for beautiful walks and a peace of mind. Oxana was proactive, responsive and always helpful. I want to return already. Thank you!
