Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Sjödalen

Jan's apartment is in a quiet residential area and is well equipped. You can reach the centre of Stockholm in less than half an hour by public transport, so you can safely leave your car behind. If we visit Stockholm again, we would definitely book the apartment again.

There were six of us and we had wonderful days in the Swedish house. Everything was very spacious, clean and lovingly furnished. It takes about 50 minutes to get to the city by bus and train, which is absolutely ok. We would love to come back anytime and highly recommend the house.

It is a very cute house with a vintage style, full of collection details (decor , accessories etc) and many rooms, each with a lot of personality. The environment is very cute and quiet, next to the forest. Including a daina showed up and sat in the garden of the last one that is beautiful. Its situation is perfect if you also want to know the environment of Stockholm as it is 15 minutes away by car or public transport, which is a lot in prp from each (metro and train).

Martin and his family are great host. They always helpful and supportive. We loved their tiny house. It’s clean and peaceful place. This location has Perfect natural environment and amazing views. I think the only problem is not available for public transportation. But it will not be problem for you if had a car. And it is also obvious on their pictures. We could have been 2 days but we wished to had more. We are pretty much happy staying there and we strongly recommend that everyone.

Perfect summer house to escape city life! Highly recommended for those seeking a slow, relaxing lifestyle. The hosts, Jack and Maria, are incredibly warm and welcoming. Their small dog adds even more charm. They were generous and helpful—solving issues like extra mattresses, showing us how to use the sauna, offering fresh vegetables from their garden, and even helping when we had trouble getting back to the cabin. The location is convenient: you can take a bus to Orminge Centrum (with Systembolaget, Willy’s, etc.), and the SL ferry is just 700m away, taking you to Slussen or Vaxholm. The lake is only a 5-minute walk away. Best for people who want to enjoy cabin life and take it slow.🥰 My mistake: I had my family stay here but planned daily trips to Stockholm, which made them tired. Also, with lots of luggage, Bolt rides were costly and hard to book. It’s not that close to the city—either take 3 buses (~1 hr) or walk 700m to the ferry (~1 hr total), with limited schedules.

Cute little clean and tidy house. We had a great weekend, the house had everything we needed. Self-check-in was convenient and allowed for late arrival. The bus stop was just around the corner and it was easy to get to the centre of Stockholm😊. Thank you! 🩷

I needed a quick place to stay when I was passing through late at night. I wrote a message and asked, 30 minutes later I was already in bed :) Everything worked perfectly 👌

We really loved our stay at Lilla Anna! :) The house was very clean and beautifully furnished. The kitchen was well equipped and the house had everything we needed :) Especially the garden by the water is a dream and perfect for a relaxing and quiet vacation :) Kajsa is a very friendly and helpful host and we always felt really welcome! 😊 We will definitely recommend Lilla Anna to our friends and family and we will come back on our next trip to Sweden ☺️

A very pleasant place to stay with a reliable host! We had a very positive stay at Alexander's place. The home was clean, tidy and tastefully decorated, with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable and relaxing experience. The area was quiet and easily accessible, which contributed to a pleasant overall experience. The host was professional, accommodating, and prompt in their communication – something I greatly appreciate. We highly recommend this home to others and will be happy to return on future occasions.

Marten is the best host you can find… helpful, friendly, nothing is too much trouble. His apartment is spotlessly clean and has everything you need. Public transport was excellent. From Stockholm Central …Commuter Train to Huddinge and two minute walk to bus 714 which takes you to Vistaberg allé. And about two minutes walk to apartment. Our stay was just brilliant. We were three seniors. Marten ordered a taxi for us for our departure. Nothing was too much trouble. If you want the best host and the cleanest apartment come to Mårten and you won’t be disappointed.

Åsa provided great and clear instructions on how to navigate Stockholm. She was very responsive and friendly. The location is very convenient and close to the commuter train station and takes just 15 minutes to Stockholm city. There is a supermarket and eateries right next to the apartment.

We liked Adrian's apartment in Älvsjö very much. Although not directly located in the city, it was very easy to reach by public transport. The apartment is modern, new and very clean, as well as equipped with high-quality electronic devices. There was oil, salt and pepper, as well as coffee and tea. The bedroom is at the back and it was very quiet for sleeping, great! Adrian's communication was great - we were always helped quickly and all instructions sent in advance were very helpful. We'd love to come back when we return to Stockholm!

It was very easy and cheap reaching the apartment from the central station even late at night. The host provided a clean and cozy apartment, with everything we needed and even more. Always kind since the booking, she gave useful advice on how to best enjoy the city. She even proactively offered to lend us rain jackets because of the weather. The neighbourhood is quiet, safe and surrounded by nature. We even saw both hedgehogs and deers in the streets :) The metro station is easy to reach by less than 10 minutes walk and took us to the city centre quicker than we expected. We definitely will come back as our experience with Karin and Stockholm was wonderful! Fully recommended.

Magical accommodation... very nice place in the woods. Peaceful, the accommodation was very nice, clean and tidy and had everything you need, empty washing machine. Free parking. Close to bus to go into central Stockholm. Close to grocery store. Very nice landlord!! Cheap and suitable for family, 2 adults + 2 children or as we 4 adults. Highly recommended instead of expensive hotels in central Stockholm.

We had a wonderful time in Stockholm! After the daily sightseeing program, then quickly into the quiet suburb with subway and bus, good transport links. Relaxed end to the day in a nice area by the lake. Thomas even picked us up from the train at check-in and showed us how and where the subway goes, the bus stops and shopping, explained everything super. The apartment was perfectly furnished with everything you need, very nice Nordic simple and functional, very spacious, bathroom with bathtub and shower. Kitchen with everything sufficiently equipped. The contact with Thomas and Madeleine was very warm, never intrusive and always courteous. We had a perfect holiday (in wonderful summer weather) and thank the two very much for their hospitality. We would come back anytime!

Malin and Dennis are wonderful hosts. They are friendly, kind and welcoming. They answered our questions about Stockholm and gave great recommendations. The apartment was clean and spacious. The backyard is beautiful and allowed my children to play. Highly recommend!

Spacious. Home-like. Comfortable. Convenient. New. Well equipped.

AnnaMaria's home is a little way outside of town but easy to reach by multiple modes of easy to manuever public transportation. I really enjoyed being in a place that felt like home and allowed me to unwind after a long day of exploring the city. Another great aspect is the neighborhood. Her place is on a busy street but it doesn't feel like it at all. The community is laid back and just peaceful. I really enjoyed my time and am grateful AnnaMaria allowed me to stay in her place.

Very nice neighborhood, easy check-in and check-out, clean, quiet. Everything was great. If you have a car, it is a superb location. If you don't have a car, be prepared for some walking to reach public transportation. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk to the metro or train station. There are some bus stations nearby as well (5 minutes walk), but bus service is not that frequent. In total, great place and location.

We had a grand stay in Tobias place. Location is great and being in a cul de sac, nice and quiet. Place is small (toilet is tough if you have long legs!), but a nice place with good fittings. Tobias was very responsive.

Hanna & Anita's place was the perfect, cozy stay for our one week stay in Stockholm. They thought of everything to make the place feel like home, from the extra towels to coffee and tea; towels to sit on in the sauna and a clothes line inside the sauna. Anita went above and beyond during our stay. One example: After a long day of travel, we couldn't wait to relax. When we arrived to the place, it was warm and nicely lit. The sauna quickly warmed us up. If you are looking for a peaceful and comfortable place that is away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but still close by, we recommend Anita and Hanna's place.
