Relax in a small port town. We renovated a traditional house that is about 70 years old. Relax in a small house in a port town. Because it is an old house, there are steep stairs (with handrails) and steps. We appreciate your understanding and caution if you have small children or have difficulty walking. If necessary, please purchase them at a nearby convenience store or bring them with you. ※ There is no TV. There are some books and internet, so please enjoy a relaxing time.

Kuranoura Beachside Inn Gidan

A small, private inn in the historic and quiet port town of Shinoura, where you can stay at a reasonable price. The host renovated the house where they spent their childhood summer holidays and opened it in January 2026. It is conveniently located a 2-minute walk from the bus stop along the sea and a 1-minute walk from the convenience store, making it an ideal base for strolling around Isanoura. From the second floor, you can see the calm sea of Setouchi and the nearby islands. There is also a workspace with Wi-Fi where you can work on your PC, making it ideal for workations. There is no parking lot, so please use the nearby coin parking. The accommodation fee includes the Hiroshima Prefecture accommodation tax (200 yen per person per night).

Haus2354 is within 5 minutes walking distance from Ieura Port, the main gateway of the island. It is also very close to Teshima Yokoo House and is in the area where you can find small shops and eating places. Haus2354 is a Japanese style house with Japanese style floor bedding, and we rent out a whole house during your stay. There are direct boats from Teshima to Shodoshima, Naoshima and Inujima. This place could be your base for island hopping considering its good access to the port.

We renovated the villa, which was built in the early Showa era and has one of the best views in Onomichi, to be easy to use and functional. It’s located in a village called Karato Oka. You’ll find the Teshima Museum and rice terraces within a short walking. The guesthouse is a Japanese wooden house with only one room, so you can use privately. The room on the second floor has a slightly lower ceiling, giving it a cozy cabin or tea room feel.
