This area is called Shimawara, one of the six former flower districts, and is the oldest of them, so you can see old traditional Japanese-style architecture within walking distance. ｢Tabitabi Kawama｣is located between Kamo-river and Takase-river, and the word 〝Kawama〞means inter-river in Japanese. On the second floor, there is a specially-built independent balcony facing to Kamo-river. Opening the window, you could enjoy the breeze from the Kamo-river, to feel the charm of the mother river "Kamogawa" Kyoto. The design of house is based on the traditional Japanese style, such as wallpaper made of tinfoil and traditional tatami.

Kyoto no Oyado Yorisuke is a 5-minute walk from Keihan Kiyomizu-gojo Station, and is a private rental house.

Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. Why not try experiencing a bit of Kyoto life? Please note that we will charge a local accommodation tax (200 yen per person per night) in addition to the accommodation fee.

10) Kyo-machiya Entire house safe &quiet京町家一棟貸

Maximum capacity 10 people. After 4 people the additional fee 6000yen/person/night will be charged. Partying and noise are strictly prohibited. This 100-year-old traditional house called "Machiya" stands in a quiet residential area, a little ways from the center of the city. The renovation work was carried out under the supervision of a "Machiya" expert, while preserving the culturally valuable foundations.

A private rental inn with a Kyoto-like atmosphere, located on the bank of the Takase River, famous for Mori Ogai's Takasebune. In the spring, you can enjoy the cherry blossom trees from the window.
