My family was thrilled with their peaceful retreat in the mountains. Brenda made my mother’s birthday an enjoyable and unforgettable weekend. She made sure to hang a birthday banner for her, provided clear and thorough instructions on how to use all the amenities and the house was well-equiped with everything that a family needs. My family and I will definitely be coming back. The scenery is beautiful, quiet and spacious. We are eternally grateful for an amazing experience and happy to have spent some time away from the busy and loud city. Thank you!

What a great place on the river!! Very peaceful. Clean. Comfy. Loved the screened in porch. The birds are incredible. Has just about everything one would need. Host was responsive. This is 30min outside Luray, but well worth it in my opinion. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and definitely recommend for the easy going traveler. A+ in our books.

Loved our stay here. Traveled with my husband and dog to visit Shenandoah National Park. We booked Stephanie’s place based on proximity to the park and the fenced in yard for our pup. So glad we did! This home is very spacious, decorated super cute and had everything we needed for the week. Stayed in the larger bedroom and the king size bed was nice and comfy. Loved the updated but still historic feel of the home and neighborhood. The few nights we ate out, we were able to walk to get dinner which we really enjoyed. Short ride to get into the park… also very close to Luray caverns as well as Skyline and Shenandoah caverns… something to do on bad weather days. Stephanie was friendly and responsive as a host. Would stay again.

The peaceful river retreat is aptly named - it was truly a peaceful getaway in a beautiful riverfront location. The screened porch overlooking the river was a favorite hangout spot during our stay. We used the kayaks to explore a bit on the water and enjoyed the games and puzzles while it was raining out. Recommend to anyone who enjoys getting outside the city for some quiet time in nature.

This is such a special place to stay! The views of the Shenandoah Valley are spectacular, and the house is set up to let you see those views pretty much all the time. The house itself is beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable, with a lovely working wood fireplace and comfortable seating, as well as lovely bedding and good mattresses. We visited in winter (during a wonderful snowstorm!), but I'm sure this would be a glorious place in all seasons. Thank you, Erin, for being a great host!

This was our third stay with Marty and Fred as hosts. They are friendly, personable and very responsive to any needs we have. We plan to come again next year.

I had a wonderful time at the Buddha House. Bobbi is a very friendly host, responsive and happy to share information about the area, and I really enjoyed talking with her. The house itself is wonderful; perfect for a weekend getaway in the West Virginia mountains, and close to several great hiking trails! The house was well-equipped with everything I needed.

Wonderful stay at a lovely home in a great location! Very peaceful street, only one block back from the (very walkable) main street in Woodstock, with coffee shops, restaurants, ice cream places, stores, etc. ... and also one block up from a cattle farm! A great mix of town and country. The house itself is exactly as promised, including neat quirks, old lead-glass windows, and a fenced-in yard that made it really easy to bring our dog. The pictures show exactly what to expect. Scotty and Jenny were not only responsive, but proactive, recommending local restaurants and shops that they love and that offered special discounts or gifts. Just lovely, and only about 1 1/2 hours from DC! A great home base to explore the Shenandoah Valley, or just enjoy a lovely small town.

My wife and I absolutely loved staying at Cindy’s home. We drove up right after the last day of school for a relaxing weekend in the mountains. This place was perfect for our weekend trip away from all our hectic schedules. Cindy was a gracious host and provided great instructions to the property. We wanted a place to lay back and enjoy each other’s company. This place hit the spot! The views were incredible in the morning and the surrounding attractions and restaurants gave my wife and I plenty of things to do. We were not there much in the day but once we returned, it was so comfortable and relaxing. We will definitely book again if we are in the area again. Thank you Cindy for welcoming us in your home it was very cozy and beautiful.

I had a great weekend staying here. I absolutely adored the view from the apartment. Also the apartment was just cozy! I passed out in the bed so easily. Both the bathroom and kitchen looked clean and updated. Plus there were little things that my husband and I appreciated like the notes, guidebook, and charging station !

Andrea was very kind and her place was beautiful and clean. Instructions were perfect. Everything matched the description.

This home is conveniently located for easy access to shop, eat, walk dogs, and enjoy the Shenandoah river along the Greenway. We were only a few minutes from the caverns and museums and a short drive from Sky Line Drive, where we hiked to Stony Man. Our dogs had a great time, too! There were plenty of towels to use, and the shower water was able to stay warm for a whole shower, which was a better experience than I’ve had at other places. The king sized bed that we slept in was so comfortable that my husband and I also now want one. On our last day, we looked out the window and saw a groundhog wandering in the backyard, which was really cool. Lindsey was very responsive also. We greatly enjoyed our trip to Luray and appreciate our experience!

Robert's place was unbelievably peaceful. We enjoyed the view of the near mountain, the sound of the river wrapping around the property, the soothing acreage of organically grown waving grasses (harboring deer and foxes), a few stands of small trees, a plethora of bird houses near enough the house and a deck for taking it all in! One end of the Deer Rapid suspension bridge is right at the end of the driveway. We brought tubes expecting the river to be lazy like it was in 2023 but this time it was far fuller! Had we more time, we would have rented kayaks, had smores every night or hiked up the way. Everything was user friendly; we appreciated the printed binder, too! The overall cleanliness and air quality of the apartment and drinkability of the tap water were particularly good and worthy of mention! We felt the generosity of the host in every thoughtful detail. We encountered one little problem but which Robert bent over backwards to rectify, again showing great kindness. Such peace!

Very cute and comfortable. Right in downtown. everything is very convenient walkable to restaurants. even though it's downtown, there really isn't a lot of traffic noise. Highly recommend and I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful!!! We have such a relaxing weekend at Peter’s place. From the moment waking in we felt relaxed and at home. Peter had jazz music playing and the fireplace ready to go for us. There was plenty of wood available and Peter even provided fire starters for us to use. Peter’s place was spotless, the bath towels were soft and smelled so good. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, we slept so well. We loved the attention to all of the decor. We appreciated the plentiful seating in the living room. The couches were so comfortable and made relaxing so easy to do in front on the fire. The attention to detail and little touches that went into making this place amazing were appreciated. There were plenty of games, books, comfy blankets and pillows. The kitchen is well stocked with a wide variety of pots, pans, baking sheets, cups, plates, bowls, glasses and cutlery. We especially loved the views from all the windows. We can’t wait to return for another visit.

Have stayed here multiple times now but this visit was specifically for my daughter and son in law to enjoy a babymoon getaway. The river is easily accessible so they floated in tubes one day and took their canoe out another. They were able to take their dog as it is dog friendly. They grilled out and enjoyed the beautiful decks around the home. Resturant suggestions were layed out with local menus as well as local attractions. Luray Caverns is close by, Cooters, from Dukes of Hazards store serves a great lunch, and the drive and scenery all around is incredible. Sharon is the best host and always available by text or phone for questions. Check in and out were simple.

Molly was a great host. The Airbnb looks exactly like the photos. The place was clean and had everything we needed. It was quiet and we couldn’t hear any neighbors. Molly gave very detailed instructions which made checking in super simple. The beds were a little bit hard but other than that, this was a perfect place to stay.

This place is fantastic. It's comfortable in every way, charming, beautifully decorated, spacious, and spotlessly clean. It's even nicer than the photos suggest. The location right at the base of the slopes at Bryce is perfect. I'll definitely stay here again someday!

We were here for a brief weekend getaway to go snowboarding with the family. It was exactly what we were looking for. It was ski in/out with only a 5-6 minute walk to the bunny slope and lifts. The bed was very comfortable.

The place was dated (as noted) but also roomy and cozy. You certainly can’t beat the price and location for skiing. Solid value I’d say.

The Airbnb was perfect for a weekend getaway. Everything was accesible. Doug was very responsive and answered any questions we had. He left a list of recommendations and activities that we could do in the area that made our stay very fun and memorable. It’s perfect for a staycation or weekend of fun. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a relaxing weekend.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay. This will definitely be on our bucket list for another stay in the future!

Check in was easy and fast, no issues. The unit was nice and cozy, adequate towels, kitchen, everything. Parking was super easy with lot right off the entrance. Location is right off the ski slopes and walking distance to the lodge and restaurant. Alesia reached out before check in to make sure we knew what to do and we're good to go. No complaints, great experience!
