Lyts Kastieltsje, a quiet cottage in an orchard

Lyts Kastieltsje is one of our 2 properties. The other is the peaceful East Punsmiert chalet. Both are a short walk from the Waddenzee, a UNESCO World Heritage Site The cottage was once part of the cooling barn for the old fruit farm. It is surrounded by over a hectare of gardens, orchards and meadow which provide a home for our three sheep, bees, ducks and many species of birds. The orchards contain different varieties of fruit trees. Our prices include all Airbnb fees and local tourist tax.

Get away from it all? You can do that on our 200-year-old farm near the Wadden Sea coast (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the cities of Leeuwarden, Harlingen and Franeker. The farmhouse's front building has been converted into a spacious guesthouse with views over the garden and meadows. We have an organic dairy farm and work with nature as much as possible. Sleeping with the sheep & a whole herd of horses.

Waking up overlooking the dining room of a herd of horses living in freedom, 2 pigs making their bed every night in front of the window and sometimes a sheep walks by. Closer to the pure things in life. Therefore, there is no WiFi and no TV. There is a large table to play games together and a lovely sofa to drink a glass of wine together.
