Situated between Shanklin and Ventnor, the Cottage is designed in the boathouse style with beautiful detailing inside and out, with exclusive use of a large garden and access to a spectacular cliff terrace. Any time of year, you will find that this is an idyllic location. You are welcome to bring a dog with you.

A charming little wooden house by the sea

This quirky attractive vintage little cottage is perfect for getting away from it all and relaxing in idyllic surroundings. Just a few metres from the lovely pebbly Gurnard beach, this fully refurbished historical little wooden building is set back from the road and tucked away behind our wild garden. It is accessed from its own car parking space via a little path. At the rear, a small stream goes to the sea and a large oak tree provides shelter to birds and a relaxing swing seat.

Situated in the grounds of our Victorian family home, the newly converted 'Garden Rooms' occupy a separate self-contained building, furnished to a high standard, and perfect for coupes wishing to enjoy walking, cycling & sailing in the South Downs National Park. The annex has its own driveway and self check-in is via a key box. The Garden Rooms are located in the pretty downland village of West Ashling. There are three local pubs & a restaurant, all within walking distance.

Formerly known as the "shifting house" it was first built in 1898-1899 to accommodate munitions workers changing into the special clothing that they wore when working on magazines.
