The House was perfect for our stay very clean and great beds nice tidy enclosed garden which was great for our cockerpoo highly recommend

It was everything we needed. It was super clean, everything was there. Emma and her mother gave us tips, we loved the abbey and Cumber Park. We also spent some time at the local library and had coffee at Poppy’s. So yes, hopefully we will be back in the future.

Excellent stay here , easy to find , good parking , nice and quiet , nice location for walking and fishing I’d say too .

Absolutely gorgeous place in a great small town. Easy to find, everything you could need supplied, and more! Thoughtful treats left for us and the dog. Very dog friendly. We had a very comfortable stay and if around that way, would definitely stay again.

Silvia made our stay absolutely wonderful. She was very informative from the start. The home was very well maintained, clean and very tidy. We celebrated our anniversary during our stay and the personal added touches made a great start to our weekend away. Very thoughtful! The house was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The manual was very helpful and listed everything we needed to know about local amenities, aswel as having leaflets on what York had to offer. Would million percent recommend this host and there beautiful home. The home was in a good location and also offered parking. Check in and out was very easy and we had a very lovely time in York thanks to the amazing hosting of Silvia. Don't hesitate to book your stay here. This gorgeous cottage is a fabulous place to stay if you're visiting Newark or the surrounding areas. Set in the heart.of Newark town centre, it's incredibly close to all the amenities including shops, restaurants, castle and market place which is just a 5 minute walk away, yet it is still very peaceful. Beautifully decorated and very spacious, with a terrific bathroom with a large shower with rainfall shower head, it is incredibly comfortable and has a lovely atmosphere. We have stayed twice already and have booked again for a future event. Dale the host, is very helpful and friendly and always trys to accommodate your requests. We can't recommend this cottage highly enough 😊

Chose this place slightly randomly but am so pleased we did! Perfect location minutes from the castle and cathedral and lots of lovely places to eat with an amazing view. Had everything we needed and the bed in particular was exceptional- big, comfortable with lovely bed linen. Often that’s the bit that can let a place down but not in this property. Lincoln is a brilliant place for a weekend visit- so much to see and do. And our sons jumped on a train from London and joined us for the day too as an added bonus! We took the free walking tour which set us up well but I hadn’t imagined there’d be so many lovely shops and art galleries too. Plus live music and theatre and cinema and of course the beautiful music at the cathedral (I went to choral evensong) Thank you Valerie- will be recommending to everyone!

Just had a wonderful stay at this property, which is located just a couple of minutes walk from all the shops, restaurants and bars. The check-in details were on point and we easily found and accessed the property with no issues. Once inside the photos were a true representation of the flat. The location as above was second to none, although next to a fairly busy road (masked by bushes), the glazing did a great job and we could not hear anything, it was also nice to look out over the town walls. We only had 1 issue regarding cleaning and that was the cooker hood, which did not look like it had been cleaned for months, leading to a strong cooking smell all over the flat. So ended up cleaning it myself and contacting Pass the Keys who dropped off additional dishwasher tablets (even though on instructions it stated not to use the dishwasher). All in all a great property, easily walkable to all the main attractions, with parking right outside the door.

Our stay in York was just what we wanted. The flat had everything we needed and provided a perfect location for visiting York with it being a short walk from the minster and town centre. The entire time Melanie was attentive, friendly and went above and beyond to provide detailed instructions for accessing the flat. Highly recommend this property and the host for a weekend away to explore the city!

Had an absolutely wonderful stay over the weekend. The apartment was as described, nice and clean. Our hosts were amazing and very responsive. Will definitely re-book if another trip to York is planned. Highly recommend ☺️

A perfect home from home - everything has been thought about what you could need. Perfect location, very close to bus routes into York but so peaceful to come back to after a busy day exploring. Great to have some basic provisions provided - the lemon cake gets a special mention, Jill was very kind to make it dairy free for my wife, extra delicious. A great place to stay and highly recommend!

Great accommodation and host. Exactly what you want from AirBnB. Minor comment on the noise from the busy road outside the bedroom windows, but everything else more than makes up for that.

A really nice place. Quiet location, which was exactly what we wanted. Very comfortable inside with a garden area that our dog liked a lot. We only stayed one night but would have liked to have stayed longer

We stayed for a single night while working for a couple of days in Leeds, much better than being in a busy city centre hotel. Cottage was clean and well equiped, host communicated well with easy access for our late evening arrival and early morning departure. Would return if we are in Leeds again.

Jackie’s spacious Airbnb was 5 star+. This was the best Airbnb we had stayed in. The location was peaceful and quiet. Jackie had thought of everything to make it feel like home. Beautifully and tastefully furnished. The kitchen had everything required to self cater. The basket of goodies was much appreciated. Very comfortable bed with extra pillows and crisp white linen. The large bathroom included a washing machine and a fabulous shower. Communication with Jackie was easy and she was quick to respond to my questions. I would highly recommend this Airbnb for anyone visiting York and it’s surrounds.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shambles Secret. Jenny proved to be a first class host, who went above and beyond to make her guests happy; we cannot thank her enough. The flat was exactly as depicted in the pictures, lovely and cosy and a real home from home. We slept really well, and although the flat is right in the centre of York, it was remarkably quiet. We enjoyed our time in the flat as much as we did sightseeing in fabulous York. Shambles Secret really is right where you want to be, EVERYTHING was within walking distance. A lovely stay, would definitely recommend.

Sharon was an ideal host. She was very communicative and sweet. The flat was clean and comfortable and she even put out a bowl with dog food and provided milk when we arrived. It’s easy to see how much thought she has put into to the flat and how much care is put into to maintaining it. We travel to Hull frequently to visit family and this is by far the best air bnb stay we’ve had there. We look forward to booking the flat again soon!

We had a great stay and would highly recommend The Loft. The apartment is beautiful, spotlessly clean and has everything you need including tea and coffee. The bottle of fizz in the fridge was much appreciated! We enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a drink, relaxing with a beautiful view of the Minster. The location was perfect - very centrally located and just a short walk to the Minster. The parking space was a bit tight for a big car but manageable, and definitely good to have with parking being at a premium in York. The hosts were so helpful and very quick to respond to any questions. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely visit again!

Shirley greeted us on arrival to give us the key and we were so impressed straight away with the friendly welcome. The apartment is just immaculate and absolutely spotless. Everything had been tastefully finished to a high spec and the location was perfect being in a peaceful rural setting and handy to drive about 15 mins to a Park & Ride which we found essential for seeing all the sights in York. I have no hesitation in recommending Shirley’s Airbnb.
