Joseph's Shepherds Hut Hadrians Wall

IanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely overnight stay in the Shepherds hut. Stella went out of her way to leave everything we asked for. We were looking for a unique stop over o. The way home from camping in the lakes. Joseph’s shepherds hut was chosen and it was a great choice. We had great directions and it’s a lovely quiet setting. A short walk into the village was nice to explore. Once back we had an evening meal using the cooking facilities and played Monopoly with logs crackling on the small log burner ( all supplied cut for free). We slept well and out son commented on how nice it was to hear the birds waking him up. Stella & Ian let us enjoy our surroundings uninterrupted. Really nice memory added to our trip. Just wish we had more time to try the restaurants in the village.

This was an absolute haven of peace and tranquillity The hut was filled with lots of lovely touches Rachael is sweet, helpful and thoughtful My Daughter, Grandchildren and myself loved every minute. the children did not want to leave, some tears shed. They said it was their favourite holiday, where else could they feed the horses in the morning with their pyjama's and wellies on.

William's Shepherds Hut Hadrians Wall

EvaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a fantastic stay at the cabin whilst on a weekend getaway. Stella kindly left clear instructions of how to get to the cabin, left a heater on for us so we were cosy from the get go on the arrival which was fantastic after a cold windy February day exploring the local sites! The cabin was extremely comfortable and cosy, we loved the privacy and were able to ‘switch off’ from our busy daily lives - a perfect break which allowed us to relax and enjoy ourselves. The cabin was also in great proximity to a variety of locations - we managed to explore Carlisle, Hadrian’s Wall and the Gretna Green outlet whilst staying at Stella’s cabin. Thank you Stella and would highly recommend our stay to others!

Romantic shepherd hut spectacular location on farm

PaulRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Booked the Shepherds hut for my partners birthday for a long weekend. It was exactly what we wanted. Great outdoor space for a campfire and to cook and eat. Lovely hut, comfortable bed, nice stove for cooking on and warmed the place up perfectly. Emma met us when we arrived and was very friendly, telling us all we needed to know about the facilities. Hit shower was a bonus, we weren’t expecting that. Very nice views and overall a lovely stay,

Remote and peaceful location but within a drive of many beautiful scenic places. We loved feeding the horses and sitting on the wooden decking eating and drinking. The big double bed is super comfy and the little hut has all the basic necessities. A lovely play to relax and great for doggies. Host was there to greet us and messaged in advance to make sure everything was set up!

Green Bank Shepherd's Hut Cockermouth

Jessie’s Shepherd’s Hut was beautifully warm and cosy when we arrived and easy to keep warm if needed. ( I am always cold) Thoughtfully laid out and furnished, we had everything we needed, plus a lovely hot shower! Very comfy bed with a lovely cosy throw. It is very privately situated and not overlooked. The outdoor space was ample and we enjoyed seeing the lambs and horses. A beautiful retreat in a lovely location, and so convenient for the lakes and towns Thank you for a super weekend! ☺️

Nicola was the absolute best host! Super friendly and made it clear that we could get in touch for anything at all, this wasn’t needed as everything was easy, including heating up the hot tub and getting the projector going! Not only a super cosy and comfy stay but extremely well priced considering all you get (including a delicious welcome hamper with some Scottish goodies)!

Amazing place. A little cozy if you are bringing a medium/ big four legged friend. But otherwise it had all the essentials for a pleasant stay, it was very clean and well maintained. The check in was super flexible, which is a plus, and we received very clear instructions of how to find the place. Amazing views too!

Northumbrian Pride, Shepherd's Hut, Lowick

AliyaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Very cozy little cabin with gorgeous views! The bed was comfy, shower had great water pressure, the view was amazing, and the hosts provided lots of helpful information about parking, food, shops, local things to do & see, and easy takeaways. Overall it was perfectly quiet and peaceful, and the included fire pit & patio furniture made watching the sun set across all the fields lovely! I didn’t quite realise it was at the bottom of a garden but the view was phenomenal and the cabin was secluded with its own little area. Vivian was great at replying and the stay was very homely and restful - a brilliant little gem in the Northumbrian countryside and I’d absolutely both recommend it to friends and visit again myself!

Had the best stay in this amazing hut. It had everything you needed and the hosts were extremely helpful. We had some issues with transport and they helped us out and made sure we could get where we needed to go. The location is also fantastic with a great swim spot 5 mins away and 10 mins walk to the train station. Would thoroughly recommend.

Shepherd's Hut Spa

ClaireRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had an extremely cosy and relaxing weekend for my partners birthday. Unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side the first night but we did manage to get in the hot tub the second night. The games round could do with a wee update of games and darts but we had a giggle anyway. Beautiful area, short walk to the beach and we had everything we needed. Daniel was very responsive with any questions we had. Great weekend!

I would highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to get away and relax. The views surrounding the hut are amazing and so peaceful. The Shepard’s hut is super cozy and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and didn’t want to leave. Chris gave clear instructions about everything and checking in and out was super simple. If this is available and you’re looking to stay you won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful, fully equipped Shepherds Hut.

AidanRating, 5 stars4 days ago
The hut was really cosy and had absolutely everything you think you'd need for a few nights stay (kettle and hob, plenty of blankets but it was warm anyway, drinkable tap water), we had an excellent night's sleep. Paul and Caroline were responsive when we had a few questions, and the place was fairly easy to find and get into. Also worth noting that the whole area is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, visiting the hut just for the views alone is worth it.
